Came in on a Saturday night with the reservation via yelp. We ordered the special soup of the night, which was Potato leek soup and it was good. We enjoyed their bread and olive oil. Service was good. Nice wine selection. Bathroom was clean:) Overall it was a neat little spot and I appreciated the intimate seating and chill vibe. The food we ordered was average. I ordered the Bolognese and it was OK. I would say it wasn't anything spectacular. My husband ordered the chicken fettuccine and he said it was ok and he left half his dish behind. read more

This restaurant has been our go-to eatery for years; we generally have takeaway, but very often dine in. The fusilli salmon is our fave but the bolognese is great too. Never been disappointed with either the food or wait staff. Highly recommended, not a big venue not many tables. read more

Great food and even better staff. We have never had a bad meal or bad service here. We usually eat here every Friday but we were informed by Lorena they had our favorite special that they only make once in a great while. The Raviolione is excellent. It is stuffed with chicken, sun dried tomato and ricotta and topped with a creamy pesto sauce. They also change up their soups and have never had a bad one. The tomato soup was so good tonight. read more

This restaurants pasta is out of this world. I had the most delicious dish, and it was like a party in my mouth! The flavors were so rich and perfectly balanced. The sauce was heavenly, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was top-notch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes. If you're a pasta lover like me, you HAVE to check out Prego! Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with reservation and it was the perfect way to finish up a Napa trip. The service and food are all amazing. I kept thinking about the show The Bear and the kitchen here is run like a well oiled machine. Food and drinks were made and served in the blink of an eye. The restaurant looks a little small on the outside but they have so much indoor seating as well as bar seating that wraps around the kitchen area. I had a lot of fun seeing everything being made. For dinner I ordered the linguine and my partner for the chicken Alfredo. I got the royal prince rose and he got a shock top. Slightly limited beer offerings but the wine menu was nice. My pasta was amazing, the pasta is fresh, sauce is homemade and not too rich with a generous portion of fresh seafood on top. I was really glad I ordered this one. The Alfredo was very tasty as well, sauce was so good and they give plenty of it. Chicken was a bit on the dryer side. We also got a Caeser salad which was ok. Overall a great date night place, I would definitely be back to try more pastas. read more

It was our first time at this cute little restaurant. Great food. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. I also loved the bar which we used as we waited for our table. We watched the staff in the kitchen cooking as we sip our Prosecco which was lovely. read more

My First time at Pasta Prego was absolutely miserable, we had reservations and they still had us come back because our table was not ready. Upon being seated we then waited over 25 minutes to be acknowledged or to order drinks or starters. once we did order it was an additional hour till we received our food. worst part was they brought everything out all together. Decided to give them another try, had reservations and were not tended to for 20 minutes. We watched other parties come in and their order were being taken before our own. The waiter was rude/ passive aggressive and said we should have waved her down.. like its our job. we ordered our food and she forgot to bring us things we ordered then proceeded to charge for everything. Hands down worst place to eat in Napa. It is such a shame because it's a hole in the wall, you expect to have excellent attention to detail (because it's so small) but not worth the frustration. It's also a good 3-5$ more expensive than Allegria.. NOT WORTH IT. Save yourself from a stressful meal. read more

Updating this review because I got an angry pissed-off review from the business owner. Very professional. Yes, I leave a one-star review because when we made a reservation, we were SPECIFICALLY asked (and please reread the reviews, because you must be misinformed) whether we want outdoor dining or indoor dining. Change your specifications if you no longer offer outdoor dining. I eat outdoors all of the time (and have been since Covid). Welcome to 2021 (almost 2022), buddy. I'm not asking for a tent because I agree that's not as safe, but don't falsely advertise outdoor seating when reservations ask you to choose between those options (WHICH YOU CLEARLY HAVE A PATIO FOR) and be forthcoming. Why do you have outdoor heaters if you never intend to use them? I hear they serve as lovely decorations at Italian restaurants... We ended up choosing a wonderful alternative, so fear not. We brought our business elsewhere to Napa Valley Bistro Before you intend to book a reservation with Pasta Prego, don't. The response from the business owner just demonstrates the level of "service" you'll get here--not great. Go to Napa Valley Bistro. You won't be sorry, but you will be if you go here. **Note that this business's response to my updated response screams unprofessional. If you'd like to get in a tit-for-tat, be my guest. Rather, what you could have done instead was apologize and seek to explain the problem. But as indicative of your multiple responses, you have not. You're misinformed if you think the old adage is the business is always right. The review speaks for itself. Don't blame Yelp for your misgivings. If you change your reservation policy, you too should update your reservation system. Enough said. ** read more

Love everything about this restaurant , one of my favorite restaurants in Napa. My husband brings me here every year to Celebrate my bday. My favorite plate is Risotto with Lamp so delicious! Their service is always kind and friendly. read more

The prosciutto-wrapped filet mignon with the mushroom risotto and chianti reduction was possibly the best thing I've ever had in my entire life. I like my steak medium rare and they nailed it; it was so juicy and filled with flavor. A glass of Merlot paired well with it. Also had the bruschetta, which was good, too. Something I really liked was that if you sat at the bar area, you sat right in front of the kitchen. It was really neat watching the chefs at work while I was waiting. My waiter was very attentive and helpful, as well. I was able to get a seat at the bar immediately and was served quickly. This place is totally worth five stars. Wow. read more

Cute spot located in downtown Napa. Make reservations (which you can do on Yelp), especially for parties larger than 4! They were busy on a Saturday night in September, but it seemed like there were more open tables for parties of 4 or less. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, since the previous party was just starting to leave. They got it cleaned up and ready in less than 5 minutes. We ended up trying: -Complimentary Bread & Olive Oil/Balsamic: The bread was really good with the olive oil mixture, but it seems they only give this to you upon request. We saw other tables with bread and requested it. This was one of the highlights of the meal. -Fettuccine (Sautéed Chicken Breast, Prosciutto, Fresh Peas, White Wine Garlic Cream Sauce, $24, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=RPW3LFWVseqosPnftM7tfw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok. The fettuccine and sauce were good, but the chicken breast pieces were too big. They were on the dry side, and bland. I wouldn't get this dish again with the chicken, and wish they offered a different protein option since I liked the sauce. -Pasta Diablo (Grilled Prawns Wrapped w/Pancetta, Spaghetti w/Broccoli, Garlic, Chili Flakes, Olive Oil, $29): I tried a bite of this, and it packs some heat! I liked the spiciness, but the grilled prawns were overcooked and a bit dry. They do give you huge pieces of prawns wrapped in the pancetta though. The service here was consistent, but overall, the food was just ok. I also tried a bite of the bolognese, and it had a good beefy flavor, but it wasn't amazing. One thing I did really like is that you can swap out the pasta styles for the dishes (such as get fettuccine for the bolognese dish). Parking seemed easy to find in this part of Downtown Napa. read more

This is a consistently good restaurant, slightly off the downtown beaten path (but still within walking distance). Many locals eat here. The food is very good. This restaurant is a gem! From the ambience to the service, to the outstanding food.

The waitress that took care of us was the most attentive waitress I've ever had. She was constantly checking up on us and gave great wine recommendations. Fantastic staff and service. Unfortunately, the food is pretty simple for how much you're paying. We got bruschetta, capellini pasta and calabrese pizza. The bruschetta was thick cut with smoked mozzarella (I really liked the smoky flavor- it gave it almost a pork taste). The pizza was very italian in style- thin crust, light on toppings- as you would expect. But nothing on it stood out as amazing. It was just a pizza. Their menu is fairly limited, so I was hoping that the lack of options would be made up for in quality execution. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere, this place has got it (especially if you can get a seat that looks into the kitchen!), but there are plenty of better italian spots. read more

Delicious, authentic Italian food and a comfortable environment. Some of the best bruschetta we've had!

We loved our meal here. They rotate a daily risotto Italian special, which I ordered and it did not disappoint. Enough serving for two people to share. They were very accommodating on substitutions and made great recommendations. The service was excellent. Not flashy trying to impress you with anything that it's not. Just simple good service, good and ambiance. We love our meal. read more

After a day of wine tasting, we were looking forward to a delicious dinner to top off our day in Wine Country. Made reservations on Yelp reservations for 6pm. The restaurant is on off the main section of Main St. and we had no problems finding street parking across the street. Checking in, we were immediately seated. The dining room has about a dozen tables with an open kitchen with bar seating for ten. Our waiter greeted us and mentioned the special of the day. We placed our orders and we were first served House Baguette and Dipping Oil - nice artisan baguette that came with a dipping oil that had balsamic, garlic, pepper flakes and cilantro. Golden and Red Beet Salad of baby greens, goat cheese, almond slices in a red vinaigrette. Fettucine with sautéed chicken breast and prosciutto in a cream sauce. Flavorful with good amount of chicken and prosciutto. The chicken was overcooked, so it was dry and not moist. Lamb Shank with Mushroom Risotto - Had a taste of the lamb. Very tasty and the lamb was fork tender. Linguini - Had a taste and seafood was well cooked. Large amount of shrimp, clams and mussels in a wine white broth. Flourless Chocolate Torte - this was like a thick chocolate mousse rather than cake-like. It was good and creamy. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious with good-sized portions. Service was friendly. read more

Last night we had dinner at this restaurant. The food was great. I had a salad and linguine. I brought home my left over linguine. When I was about to eat it I found an almost an inch stone among the clams. I thought sea shells are meticulously checked before cooking but apparently was not. It's a good thing I saw it before eating. I could have rated 5 star if not for the stone in my food. read more

We've eaten at pasta Prego several times when in the Napa area. The food is always delicious and served with a smile. I had the braised lamb shank over mushroom risotto. The shank was falling off the bone, juicy and tender and well seasoned. My husband had linguine with seafood and shellfish. He was very pleased also. I like how they've put curtain panels between tables to give a sense of privacy and safety. The service is good, attentive but not intrusive. This is a great restaurant to go to before a show at the Blue Note a couple of blocks away. read more

Second time visiting and very pleased both times. The establishment is very small, but comfortable and intimate setting. Located in a quiet neighborhood. We made same day reservations with no hassle. They seated us promptly after our arrival. Our server was very attentive. I ordered the risotto which I guess changes daily. Tonight it was saffron risotto with prawns and veggies. So delicious. Veggies cooked perfectly. Soft, but still crispy crunch. My husband ordered the chicken marsala. Definitely recommend and will return again. read more
