I had a major craving for a smash burger and had recently seen this place on social media. So, decided to try the place out. For some reason, I thought this place was near Downtown--I thoroughly deserved being slapped with the reality of a 30 minute drive given my lack of preparation. The restaurant is out near Henderson basically, in a slightly sketchy looking area that I'm not entirely sure I'd feel comfortable venturing to at night. The staff at the restaurant seemed to all be young kids (college aged), and they were pretty nice and helpful with explaining the menu. There was no one else in the restaurant even though I came around 6pm. A single burger and side of fries cost me nearly $20 after tax and a small tip--although I don't know how I feel tipping for fast food... The fries were pretty good, the beef tallow and coarse salt were what really sold me on the fries. The sauce was also good--it's similar to what you might get at a famous chicken fingers fast food joint. Without these things, the fries looked (and tasted) like standard frozen food distributor fries. The bun was good and the patty was perfectly smashed. The onions weren't actually caramelized though. If I have to be honest, I finished the burger feeling unsatisfied. It was good enough that I considered purchasing another one...but then I remembered the price tag. They're good but not the best, and I'll stand pat by that. Pats Patty's - yes, that appears to be the official spelling - is a former food truck turned brick-and-mortar. For this endeavor, they chose a pretty nondescript plaza with some other small restaurants on the order of Tropicana and Nellis, which is not far from where Henderson bleeds into eastside Vegas. Owing both to social media hype and their presence on Yelp's Hot and New Restaurants, I stopped in about a couple months after their static store debuted. I placed my order at the counter, then asked for a cup of water. The cashier said the best they could do is a cup of ice, but then offered me a drink on them for my first-time visit. I tried the Barrilitos fruit punch ($4.00), and it reminded me more of artificial strawberry than anything (although pineapple is supposed to be present too). It was also not as carbonated as American sodas, which I was a bit disappointed in. My order was ready soon enough, and I dug into my Double smash burger ($16.00). The soft potato bun was good, the overhanging beef patties were heavily smashed and browned, and there was enough grease that some of the excess ended up in the paper tray. The cheese was melty, and the pickles were fine but maybe not as detectable as I would've liked. The patties were actually prepared in a way similar to Oklahoma onion burgers, and I think this is the first time I've had this style. It was nice, but I was expecting twice as many onion pieces. I didn't really get the sweetness you'd expect from enough caramelized onions. On that note, I was also a bit disappointed by the secret sauce. It was a lot like colored mayo and could've used heavier proportions of one or two sweeter components to add that note to both the burger and the fries. I semi-fixed it late in the meal by adding a little ketchup, which you have to ask them for at the counter. However, without food hacking, their sauce recipe doesn't match up to what some famous fast food chains have to offer. That leads me to the Fries ($6.00), which I can understand why people like. The width/shape, somewhat pale color, and chewy interior reminded me heavily of McDonald's fries. The flavor was not the same, especially due to their usage of coarse salt. The result was that some bites were heavy in salt flavor while others were a bit bland. Chewing enough fries at once helps to even it out, which is perhaps a good strategy with the huge portion of fries that could easily be shared by 2 or even 3 people. I enjoyed my meal, but I had to ask myself if I would recommend Pats Patty's over other smash burger spots which I've tried. The only way I would is if you live much closer to here than anywhere else, or maybe if you love McDonald's fries but it's not hockey season so the special Vegas-area promo is unavailable. The burger is not significantly better than other small business smash burgers, if at all, and it's easily the most expensive one I've tried, especially by not including fries in the cost. Price is an obvious tiebreaker and a real factor, as other recent reviews have demonstrated. read more

Decided to finally make my way southeast of Vegas and got to try the brick and mortar of this food truck. I heard so many great reviews and I'm on the hunt to finding the best smashburger in Vegas. as soon as we walked in, it was completely empty and the workers were just cleaning. However, because we came close to closing it seem that we irritated them by coming around 8:30 PM even though they close at nine. I could understand that irritation prescription so I apologized and tried to eat my food quick. I ordered a double and a single burger to compare the two sizes and an order of fries. The total for this order was around $35 before tip. For me, this was extremely pricey after seeing what came out. The patties were smashed perfectly, but the single was overtaken by the bun and definitely need another. The double had a good ratio of meat to bun. The burgers were delicious however, I would not say this was my favorite. The sauce was a bit offputting and unfortunately, I did not like it. The fries were crispy, but not really wow or amazing. Definitely not worth the $6. It could've been fried a lot longer and were a bit pale. I probably wouldn't make the drive for this place again, but I was happy to try it read more

Extremely salty burger. I don't know if someone was heavy-handed or if it was intended, but it really masks the taste of the high-quality beef they use. I also am not a huge fan of fries in general, but you can tell that they are fried in beef tallow you get that flavor. other than that they are pretty basic french fries, especially for the cost. read more

I'm an Eastsider so the location doesn't bother me as it did some other reviewers. It's in a strip mall at Nellis/Trop. The location is very clean when you enter as it is new and I hope they keep it up! The staff was clean and eager to greet you which is refreshing. I ordered the double smash burger and fries to go. With a $2 tip it was $25.84! Anyways I knew the price going in, but the reviews had me curious. I munched on my fries on the way home and still arrived home with a lot of fries so I liked that part! They were soft inside yet still crispy and really good. The burger is just pretty good. It has crispy edges from being smashed and lots of onions within it (Oklahoma style), but I'm not sure I see the appeal. Oklahoma style was created when beef was expensive during the Great Depression. They added a bunch of onions to bulk up the patty. So if that's the case why is the price of this burger so high? I also get they are using an upper cut of American Wagyu so that is most likely why but the taste just didn't match the price for me. I think I would prefer to really taste the beef in a regular style burger and then I'd be won over. I still don't understand the spelling of the restaurant either lol. Went on a quick date to Pat's Patties after seeing them on TikTok. We were excited to check them out since they started as a food truck and now have their own brick-and-mortar spot--love to see that kind of growth! As soon as we walked in, we noticed how clean everything was. The space looked brand new, and even the kitchen equipment was upgraded and spotless. The menu was simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate. We spent about $35 for two single burgers, a shared order of fries, and two Mexican Cokes. A little on the pricier side, but honestly? Finally! It's been awhile since I've had a really good food experience. Saw this place on social media, bookmarked it, and gave them a try while in town on bizniz. I had a double with fries. I liked that everything was cooked to order. I specifically requested 'golden brown fries, no yellow or white fries'. That's exactly what I got, nice and crisp and hot. I like that they give fry sauce. To me it's much better than ketchup. On to the burger.....they obviously take pride in the quality of beef they use.....America's version of wagyu beef from one specific supplier/ranch. Fantastic crisp grill charred super thin smash burger to intensify the flavor with a properly grill toasted bun, cheese, grilled string cut onions, pickles, and that special sauce (I think it's the same as their fry sauce). I wasn't that hungry, but ate the whole thing because it was so good! Hours are reflective of their previous food truck beginnings being 2:00 - 9:00 which misses the prime lunch time market. Do not listen to the 1-3 star reviews. It's insane the things people find to complain about. When Pat's Patty's was still a food truck, I had to see what all the hype was about because social media often blows things out of proportion. I've been a smashburger freak for years, always hoping that the level of perfection you find in LA would finally bleed over into Las Vegas. Plenty have tried, but none of them ever came close. Pat's Patty's is the first to truly deliver. The burgers here are exactly what a smashburger should be: thin, crispy edges that give you that perfect crunch. Because it's Wagyu the meat is packed with flavor, and toppings/sauce actually complement the burger instead of drowning it. When they closed their truck to open up the store, With Love Always stepped in and was so good, I forgot if Pats could compete. Sure as shit, when Pats reopened I went back just to realize that their hype isn't just deserved, it's necessary. This is the kind of burger you immediately start comparing everything else to. It's literally smashburgers perfected & done right. Service has always been quick and friendly, in both the truck and now at the brick-and-mortar. Their quality hasn't slipped one bit. If anything, it's almost like they've only gotten better. Prices are admittedly a little steep, but for the quality you're getting (snake river farms wagyu) it justifies it a bit. My first impression upon walking in was wow, this place is popular and very clean. It has an open kitchen which always makes me feel at ease. I visited on a Saturday at 5:30pm and every table was full. The workers were busy, and I had to wait for a bit standing at the register before one of them could come over to take my order. I noticed that only one of the seven tables had their food, so I prepared myself for a lengthy wait. After ordering, I waited about 15 mins for my food. Was it worth it? Oh my gosh, yes. If you know what Snake River Farms and Wagyu means to beef then you go in expecting this is going to be an absolute top shelf burger. And I'm happy to say it is! Is it cheap burger? No. But you don't get SRF Wagyu beef in a cheap burger. Their buns, cheese, and sauce are all phenomenal. All fresh, all top shelf. Everything together creates an absolute masterpiece.
