Pat's Pizza makes a good pie. the sauce is good and plentiful on the thin crust and the sausage was tasty (sliced links). The people that work here are friendly and make you feel at home. It's on a little side street and not as crowded as the rest of town. read more

Pizza? If you like greasy top and a cracker-like bottom, then please come here. The service is great I must say the staff is top notch, but a place called "Pat's Pizza" should have amazing pizza. I guess if you come from a college town (the original is in Orono where the University of Maine is) you need to focus on a much less discerning clientele. I am not sure why this place is below 5.0 stars. We went here for a lunch and ordered Partenopia, chicken strips and fries. According to my wife this is the best pizza she ever had. And she is very tough to please! I love the pizza as well, it was very flavorful and not greasy at all. I normally hate fries and think this is the worst food you could possibly consume, however the fries and chicken strips were amazing, not over-salted, too dry or too greasy. So relieved we found Pat's on our first night on the island! We were well-attended by a pleasant, easy-going staff. The outdoor seating was comfortable, and separated from the sidewalk. (We tasted it before she lost her appetite from the applesauce). Chicken- broccoli Alfredo calzone was good, but then coated with greasy garlic sauce. Thin crust pizza was very good, excellent pepperoni, but again had a bit of excess grease. Our server was pleasant and brought beer samples when she didn't know what brewery/brand of ale they carried, but never brought my salad nor asked if everything came out ok. This place was okay. The staff seated us and then seamed to forget about us. I was not only able to decide what I wanted to drink but also what I wanted as an appetizer and dinner before the waitress came over and took our drink order. This is very unusual for me because I am that person who will ask a waitress to come back multiple times. The food was alright, but it didn't have any distinctive pizza flavor. We ordered 2 pizzas to bring to the hotel. The cheese pizza was delicious and the kids loved it. It had a lot of really good tomato sauce and plenty of cheese. The Grazia pizza was amazing. My wife said it was one of the best pizzas she ever had. The pizza was covered with tons of fresh artichokes and tomato slices. The pesto had just right amount of flavor without overpowering the other toppings. The crust was not doughy since it was thin crust but it had a certain sweetness that combined really well with saltiness of the toppings. We picked this place because the reviews were good. I have eaten at many Pat's Pizza places in Maine and they have been amazing so, when my family came from Georgia, we visited the one in Bar Harbor. Horrible. Our server was either on something or half lit. There was no seating inside and so they put us outside. This was fine till the sun went down and then we realized we were sitting in mostly dark. There was a security light illuminating the patio with a pair of discarded socks by the table. The coffee was Luke warm and the food was pretty bad. I got the rest of the napkins and the salt and pepper by walking in and asking the girl behind the bar. Not a good experience at all. read more

Late lunch after a hike up Pemetic Mtn. Son loves plain breadsticks and these delivered; the sauce was tasty. Had a meatball pizza and husband had the Hawaiian. Both were really good. After a VERY long day of hiking and mountain biking in Acadia, the last thing we wanted to do was go out to eat, so we did take out. (We stopped in Bar Harbor for a few days before heading to Nova Scotia for vaca.) The hubby and I went, sat at the bar and had a beer, ordered a pizza and cornbread to go. Got everything back to the motel and it was time to eat! Pizza was great, very fresh ingredients, and the cornbread was perfect for the next mornings drive to Halifax. Highly recommend!!! read more

The food here is average. We had pizza, and a cheesesteak. Nothing worth four stars. I would have given an average 3 stars, but this place didn't measure up to average. The ambiance teeters toward "dive" and the food does not help tip the scales favorably. As for service, it was the worst of all other service we experienced in Bar Harbor. That's not a good thing because every eatery we've been to in Bar Harbor has given pretty poor service. At Pats Pizza, the waitress made a mistake with the checks, and her first response was to blame the customer. The food is okay. The service, not so much. read more
