Stay away !!! Went to the Northeast Maryland Pats Select Pizza. No Heat, No signs Stating no heat, should have know when the girl at the counter was rubbing her arms with her hands. she was rude as we order not helpful at all. We asked if there's a waitress , she said no you have to come up here and order. So we paid, we sat down and noticed ,it wasn't getting any warmer seems to get colder, our hands were freezing , body shaking. Eat little bit of my sald then we ask the waitress counter girl whatever you want to call her, for two containers. We just couldn't stand it anymore. My daughter who is from there told me that a lot of people complain how cold it is there!!! Crazy is that really how you want to run your business. We will never go back again. Pat's Select in Elkton is a high class pizzeria restaurant. The eating area is very clean and very nice decor. The staff is young but very polite, courteous and friendly. They have a variety of food and they give big portions. I get the salads, appetizers and pasta dishes which are all very good. It may take me a couple servings to finish it all. Overpriced and bland. Ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and the Southwest Chicken salad (pictured below). I placed the order last night for pickup today around lunchtime. The fries that came along with the wrap were undercooked and cold - clearly sitting around for awhile, which was disappointing considering it was $15. The salad was good.. and somehow cost less than the wrap! We ordered extra dressing and it wasn't in the bag so I had to walk back in and get it after the fact. 9-10 time we are pleased but tonight I was highly disappointed. I made the mistake of of trying to something new ... I got the brisket sandwich and it was so tough and stringy and did not have that slow/ smoked texture. It tasted over powered w liquid smoke and was thin and like shoe leather . I got the slaw on the side opposed to on the sandwich only to find it had no flavor . Gave that to the dog thinking my bad for trying something new and thought I'd fill up on sweet potato fries ... they were cold and under cooked in the middle so my dogs ended up w all of my dinner . My other family members were happy w their food burger and a cheesesteak egg roll and the strawberry cheesecake dessert . The one young woman at the counter had an attitude that I was slightly confused by the set up of ordering at the counter and then a server brings it out. However the first night we get down here is always a Pat's night. So like this weekend was Friday through Monday. Meaning Friday was Pat's night. Now I might not have picked Pat's on my own but it's the home owners go to. And it's great. It has never let us down. I've had most of the menu here in the last decade. Terrible service. We called when we arrived and asked to have our food brought out. After 10 minutes, we went in and our food was sitting there, and the place was not busy. We ordered no sauce on our son's meat balls amd my wife called after we got home and discovered the error. She called the manager, who basically said, if you want them you have to come in to get them and refused to have a delivery driver drop them off when he was available in our area. Ummm I have never really been impressed or honestly liked the food from this Pats until last night. I ordered the crab cake sliders because I really wasn't sure what to get, but I wasn't expecting much. I figured they'd be the typical frozen & heavily breaded crab cakes but I was sooo wrong!! Like I am literally in disbelief. Huge lumps of crab meat, barely any breeding. They were cooked right & with the buns they were literally perfect. Ordered takeout today around 9:30pm, asked the lady on the phone if they were still selling slices which she responded yes but there was one left so she'd make more. When I went to pick it up the place was a lot nicer than I expected so that's a plus, but the actual slices were the smallest slices I've ever gotten at pats, not to mention they weren't the normal square shape they usually are. I was a little annoyed but I can deal with that, however I ordered a rustic chicken sandwich which comes with Dijonnaise and I was given the sandwich with absolute no sauce whatsoever. By the time I got home and opened it to realIze all off this it wouldn't have been worth it to go back or to call. This review is not about the food or service. The other day I picked up a take out order. It was raining and the concrete area in front of the restaurant was very wet. When leaving the restaurant I immediately slipped and fell. The seal on the concrete when wet is worse than walking on ice. Note I had rubber soled shoes on and had a had a hard time standing back up. EXTREME caution to all!!! Fortunately I did not break anything, just a very sore hip. I clearly am not the only person this has happened to. I was sharing the incident with a contractor at my house and he named the restaurant before I did!! read more

So, I called in an order for pickup yesterday. My order wasn't ready so I waited patiently for my food. As I was waiting, I was in view of the window area for the hot kitchen and saw two employees not wearing face masks while preparing food! Now, one of them did have on a mask but it was pulled down and not covering the nose or mouth and the other man I saw didn't have on a mask AT ALL! I asked the girl at the counter if the cooks wore face masks and she went to tell the manager "Nick" who did immediately ask the employees to put the masks on. The one who had the mask half on said, "I can't talk with the mask on!", leading me to believe that not wearing the mask is a common practice for him. The manager came over and explained that it gets hot in the kitchen and that they sometimes take it off to get a breather. IMO, they should step away from the kitchen to get a breather instead of talking over the food spreading possible COVID germs! The manager offered me $10 off my NEXT order! HA! I said to him so I have to order and come here to watch to make sure that your staff is wearing. Mask while making my food???? He didn't even offer a refund. I just took the order and left because I didn't want to embarrass myself any further by leaving the food there and demanding a refund. Had a late night at work and was driving by at 11:30 and was relieved to see there were people inside. After a quick look online and before walking in, their website said they were open until 12:00. Upon walking to the register, I was then turned away and said they were closing right then. So, if you plan on going late, you may want to call ahead of time to make sure you can still order. I usually am happy with Pat's food but a little frustrated that they stopped serving 30 minutes ahead of their stated hours, I could see if it was 10 or 15 minutes but not a half hour. read more

Inside is very clean, service is prompt and polite, one of the nicest of the pats chain. I work near by so there are a few places to choose from but i liked how they do business here! The kitchen is disgusting! Nothing relevant to Italian Cuisine, they don't know how to cook chicken breast, it was dry in buttercrumbs soaked in cheap oil. Spaghetti wasn't cooked well. Needed a quick lunch while traveling for work so I ducked into Pat's to see what it was all about! I'd actually never heard of this chain before so I went up to the counter and asked what was good if I was in the mood for pasta. The very friendly young hostess said to try the lasagna and so I did. It came out a few minutes later. It was gigantic! I didn't come anywhere near finishing it but it was tasty! Not an authentic lasagna but it hit the spot on this particularly rainy day. The breadsticks on the side were pretty good too. For the lasagna I probably would have stuck with 3 stars but with great service and an exceptionally clean place, I bumped it up another star. read more

Mama says mama Mia! This food is amazing. The building is uniquely designed and it is very clean. Everything was delicious. We had seafood pasta, crab soup, a cheese steak, amazing fries, and a rustic chicken sandwich. We didn't know where to stop because everything was so good. I can't say one thing was better than the other because it was all exquisite. To preserve this beautiful place, management should probably implement a no bathroom without purchase policy. Just went to Pats and was going to sit down and eat. The kids had Happy meals from the golden arches. The manager came and told us we weren't allowed to have any outside food. I told him I understood. When I went to order the waitress had a very poor attitude. She was surprised we would still order and asked are you "getting takeout?" I responded, "yes, of course, I understand policy." So when I go to order 20 wings, I ask for 10 flats and 10 drums. She tells me she can't do it. So last Saturday 05/01, we went to Chilis and they were packed with a (60) minute wait time. We had our grand daughters who are (7 & 8) years old with us, and they really had their hearts set on Chilis. But we decided instead to drive to Pat's Select Pizza in Elkton. We were quickly seated and promptly waited on as we then ordered the Whiskey Burger & Fries, Chicken Quesadilla, and from the children's menu, Spaghetti & Meatball and Mozzarella Sticks & Fries. First things first, the Whiskey Burger was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked with a variety of perfectly blended flavors. To which we agreed, that it was the very best burger that we ever enjoyed. I/we would put Pats Select Pizza/Grill Whiskey Burger up against the Red Robins Whiskey Burger, and the Iron Hill Brewery former menu Zues burger, all day, every day. The Chicken Quesadilla, again the very best we ever enjoyed. It was a minimum 1 inch thick of amazing goodness filled with the most flavorful moist tender chicken that we have eaten in the Tri-State area that I can recall, over the last (10) years. Now get this, a kids menu, Spaghetti & Meatball came out as I would describe it as an adult portion. The large meatball was placed perfectly in the middle of the piled high spaghetti, with just the right amount of sauce, and the appropriately layered flakes of fresh provolone cheese. So besides the food being so spot on delicious, it was also reasonably and fairly priced, and our grandchildren just loved the entire Pats Select Pizza experience. Our service was prompt and friendly, and additionally, Brian the restaurant manager spoke with us as we complimented him and the staff for giving us such a great experience. Now just from this experience last Saturday, we then grabbed a to go order on this past Wednesday and then today, we found ourselves making up an excuse to go there today so we could enjoy some more delicious food, great prices and service at "Pates Select Pizza/Grill Restaurant" Brian started at Pats Select Pizza, seven plus years ago in an entry level position and then worked his way up to a store manager. Brian is a perfect example of how hard work and sacrifice pays off, because Brian is an excellent manager, and besides the great food at Pats, Brian would be another reason for us to keep coming back!!! read more
