We've been going to Patti's for years and have always enjoyed their delicious food and over the top portions. Lately when we've eaten there, we have an heightened respect for them and their actions with Covid -19. EVERYONE must wear a mask when they enter or they're send away. The tables are sectioned with partitions for safety. The tables and condiments are sterilized after every customer leaves. Couldn't be more pleased at their love and concern for EVERY customer. I'm here for the first time with a friend visiting her father. He decided to take us out to breakfast at his regular place (where everyone knows your name). On the outside looks like a hole in the wall restaurant. However, the place was jumping inside. We only waiting a few minutes for a table. The busser was cleaning tables quickly. We sat down and the busser got us water and coffee immediately. The owner, Sarah, greeted us and greeted Bill by name and welcomed his daughter in again, knowing she is visiting her dad. She greeted me and welcomed me. I asked which omelet she recommended, I got the Spanish with buscuit and gravy. She told Kim about the lemon french toast special which came with bacon or sauage. Bill got his usual. The food came quickly and the portions are huge. The food was amazing. The biscuits an gravy and moist and delicious. The bacon, thick and we asked for crispy and they were perfect. The lemon french toast were to die for. I can't rave about this place more. Definitely will come back when we visit again. read more

Our rollerderby team invaded Patti's Kitchen in full force, with 15 of us. The staff was super attentive and accommodating, that seemed to be a running theme throughout Southern Oregon in general, they had a table ready for us in under 10 minutes! Coffee and water were on the tables before all of us had even sat down. The first thing we noticed was the incredible-looking pie case in the front of the restaurant. Wow! Next time I am in Southern Oregon, there is no doubt I will be back for a taste of Pattis' pie! The menu was surprisingly large and is subsidized by two big boards listing the specials. There were a number of creative and delicious offerings including breakfast enchiladas and pancake sandwiches. After ordering, we were able to take our coffees outside and enjoy the sun at Patti's outdoor tables while we waited for food to arrive. Food quickly arrived and all was delicious, the biscuits were light and fluffy, the country gravy was very flavorful with lots of sausage, the hashbrowns golden and crisp, the buttermilk pancakes were bigger than my head and very tasty. If you want a real breakfast served by real folks, Patti's does breakfast the right way! It's hard to satisfy 14 women at the same time but Patti's staff and food kept us all extremely content during our visit there. I can't recommend them enough or construe to you how accommodating and gracious the staff is. We found a magic breakfast stop that kept our entire team happy and we all plan to come back the next time we are in the area! read more

Patti's is a no frills diner that offers great food and service. The server knew most of the patrons by name, so it was clear that Patti's is a favorite among locals. When we walked in around 6:30 on a Sunday morning, the place was already filling up. We seated ourselves in a comfortable booth and were attended to right away. We both had scrambled eggs with a biscuit and gravy. Paul had sausage with his and I had ham. Portion sizes were large, but not monstrous. The biscuit and gravy was the star. The gravy was perfectly peppered and the biscuit just soaked it up. Good stuff! read more

We eat here for breakfast every time we go to Medford. The food is good and you get a lot of it. This time we had the polish skillet plates. If your not a big eater, split it with your partner. Most every breakfast item we've ordered is good. Can't say anything for the other dishes i.e. Lunch and dinner. There are so few GOOD breakfast around Grants Pass we tend to find a good one and stick with. I cook everything organic and from scratch so I find very few restaurants that can live up to home cooking. Patty's Kitchen fills the bill for home cooking but I doubt they cook organically. read more

Heard rave reviews about this place. Moved to Gold Hill. Went looking at the food and it looks great. But from order to the food being served it took over 45 minutes. Then they brought out the wrong food. To their credit at first they offered to fix it. But when I pointed out I didn't want that plate and waiting another 45 minutes was not an option. She told me I ordered something different. The cook and either owner or manager asked what was going on and told him that I waited 45 minutes for the wrong meal. Bland, except for the biscuits and gravy, which is what we came for. Sorry, no pictures this time. When we walked in, everyone stopped and turned to look at us. Um, uncomfortable. We had to wait a couple minutes for a table to be wiped down. Ordered iced tea and water. I noticed frequently someone was around topping off coffee; that was really nice to see. Our iced tea was only refilled once. I got the small Denver omlet with home fries and sourdough toast. Small vs. Large omlet is 2 eggs vs. 4 eggs. The veggies had no flavor, the Ham chunks rubbery, like it was off a processed hunk of lunch meat, potatoes no flavor. They were just deep fried. Toast was great, tasted like homemade bread. Companion had some big omlet that was covered in gravy, and then skipped the potatoes and toast and got biscuits and gravy. They complained about the Bacon, looked overcooked to me. BISCUITS AND GRAVY IS SOOOOO GOOOOD!!!!!! Update to my omlet: as I'm enjoying my leftover omlet and slice of sourdough toast, I bite down into egg shell. That makes me gag. I'm so done. read more

The best little café in the valley. I try to order something different every time I go there so far I've been successful even though everything is amazing. So far my favorite has to be cinnamon French toast. But I'm always so surprised when they ask about bread choices, "do you want wheat bread or homemade wheat bread"? I've yet to hear anybody order "the funky bread in a plastic bag", of course homemade; it's awesome. I think they just like seeing peoples eyes light up when they say homemade. I will have to say the food gets the five stars. I have been a long time customer to Patty's kitchen for many years and have enjoyed Sarah and her husband and Sherry their helper they're great people however today May 4th when I went in to have breakfast and was sitting there enjoying my breakfast I could hear the cooks in the back talking with profanity coming out of their mouths I mentioned it to Sherry and she says it's been told to them several times so I asked her to send one of them out here to see me so that maybe if they heard it from a customer it would make a difference however it didn't I told him that they need to be careful and talking so loud because you can hear that them out here and I heard them cussing it wasn't really good for business and the person I spoke to I didn't get his name but I guess he's the father to the kid that does the dishes said something in the fact that well yeah well that's the bit about owning your own business in referencing it doesn't matter what people say because he owns the business he can do what he wants. I wasn't too happy with that and I'm sure Sarah and her husband wouldn't approve either I know Sherry didn't that's not good for business I hope you guys can get this rectified before I come back next time as I don't come too often because I live further away now but when I do come through this is where I choose to stop. It's a bit of a drive from Medford but I'll do it anytime I have an excuse to go there. The portions are huge, The selections are endless, creative, unusual for a restaurant of this size hidden away in a small town. It's not on the menu so ask for Country Benedict. My husband and I live locally, and we go to PK often. Yes, it's not spotless, but then neither is OUR kitchen, or house. We have never had a bad meal there, the breakfasts are awesome, and so is the French Dip w/Au Jus. We have NEVER had a problem from eating their food, other than being too full!! That's my only complaint, the portions are HUGE, and if you ask for say "1/2 the amount of fries with that", you still get enough to feed a small country. The prices are awesome, and I would pay the same, I just hate to waste food!! (And fries don't heat up so well) We will continue to go there, quite happily! read more

This is a smaller, beautiful Oregon town...and this is "their" diner. It is real. We are passerbys, guests. I absolutely loved it. Sure, nobody was chasing after me with a mop, but it was gritty, wholesome, safe and real. the conversations from the pregnant lady at the counter boasting that she was finally having a daughter to grandpas with his granddaughter having breakfast with with all the pride of a king reining over a kingdom. This is a hometown,local kitchen at its apex, a crescendo of down-to-earthiness and reality. If you want to compare it with your local diner that even hopes to capture in theory what this place puts into practice...have at it. Patti's was clean and the restroom emasculate...had to use it twice because of my ice tea consumption so I am and expert. Michiru got ham and eggs, the slice of ham took half the plate, no joke. I had a Ortega burger which I decided to add jalapenos and have it lettuce wrapped which they gladly did. It had a great kick and came with a salad which I had to take to go. I really loved this place, and the characters who played a part in making this a most memorable meal were so cool. We were on our way to Crater Lake, and this was our gate way. The only thing that could top this off was that we need gas and stopped at the gas station next door. I have never had a bad experience at Patti's. The food is always delicious and service is always excellent. My grandparents live in Gold Hill and we occasionally get the chance to have breakfast at Patti's. Their country fried steak is divine and their gravy rarely needs more than a little extra salt or pepper to taste. The breakfast burrito is massive and packed with goodness. There's enough to take home for lunch or second breakfast! I'll keep going to Patti's as long as they'll let me in the door. read more
