Been coming to Patty's since I moved to Seattle from LA almost 2 years ago. In that time Patty's in Mukilteo has never let me down food-wise or personality-wise. If you know any LA people it's easy to say we don't mince words, are very serious on food & will let you know when something isn't up to par. I've loved everything I've ordered from Patty's Egg Nest: Bigfoot Steak, omelette, July 4th specials, the Reuben, etc. the place makes the salad dressings from scratch & the OJ is always fresh squeezed. This location has great, comfortable, easy seating & is well lit with plenty of windows. Food is the most important factor here so I'll leave you with this; for the price on a great quality of food and an excellent portion served, it doesn't get better. read more

So I touchdown with the Dukes (the parents) and we were famished from the flight from California. Looked at the places to eat in Mukilteo and seen Patty's. Looked like a quaint joint. The ladies inside were nice and the food looks . Dad ordered the 'Joe's Special', probably because his name is Joe. Go figure!? Mom ordered the eggs benedict flourintine. Me I ordered the Dixie Chic. Eggs, hashbrowns, fried chicken, and a biscut with sausage gravy. Dad said his was alright, and he like the wheat toast with what looked like homemade jam. Plus! Mom liked her eggs benedict. She said it was one of the best she had, but it was a bit salty. She is some what an eggs benedict aficionado, so i trust her opinion. My plate was filling and the fried chicken was good, the eggs were nice over easy, and the sausage gravy with busicuit was DE-lectable! We all agreed that the hashbrowns were greasy, but soooo good! Pros: -Dixie chick was bomb, Mom said eggs benedict was good. Hearty...check -Quaint place with good atmosphere -Waitresses were nice -Service was quick -Place was clean Cons -I could see this place booming and the parking lot being a hassle. -This is not a place to go eat if you are try to eat healthy or are not very hungry. If you have ever watched Kitchen Nightmares, this place would be a perfect candidate. We visited on Tuesday with our daughter before the lunch rush. The carpets were dirty, not vacuumed. The restroom was disgusting and I had to tell our daughter NOT to touch anything. The restaurant has not been kept clean and the tables and menus were sticky. The menu had a very large selection which should have been a warning in itself. How could such a little place keep so many items FRESH? The answer to that question is that the food is not fresh. On top of that, many items that we requested were out of stock. Apple juice? Nope! Fresh made chili? Nope! sweet and sour dip for the chicken strips? Nope! The substitute for the chili was a potato salad which arrived to the table as mayonnaise salad with a little bit of potatoes. We nicely asked for that to be exchanged at which a bean soup that was bright orange arrived at the table, pretty alarming. The chicken strips seemed to be a safe selection and they arrived overcooked and without flavor. The chicken was displayed on shredded and nasty lettuce. The best thing on the plate was the french fries which are pretty hard to ruin. The fruit that topped my daughters single pancake for $8.00 was not fresh. We did not order drinks and kept the water which was served with what appeared to be recycled lemon wedges! The bill was over $30. First recommendation would be to take a good look at the entire facility and clean it up! Fix the lights, clean the floors, clean the bathrooms, make the place smell fresh. The second recommendation would be to shorten the menu and concentrate on great tasting, truly fresh food instead of mediocre (at best) food on a larger menu. We will not recommend this place, nor return. In fact, if this location is a representation of all of the locations we will not be visiting them either! read more

I've been here a total of 10 minutes and so far I've been ignored twice by the waitress while my husband has had his order taken.....we're sitting at the same table! The "fresh squeezed" orange juice had a bug floating in it. When I told the waitress she asked if I still wanted it, when I said no she took it and walked away. She didn't ask if she could replace it or bring anything else, just walked off. She only has 3 tables with customers so I don't think she's so busy that she forgot me. So far, terrible service! Worst breakfast I've ever had. I ordered the fresh strawberry waffle with the side substituted for hash browns. The cream was missing on the waffle which was burnt and dry and the side was just completely missing when I picked it up. I will not be going here again. read more

This place was so good... everything was super fresh and the service was spot on. I had the veggie omelet with easy mozzarella instead of cheddar and it was perfect. The husband had the loaded omelet which looked amazing. Coffee was hot and fresh, their sour dough bread is to die for, and seating and service was super fast. I was disappointed the first time I went here due to a mix up with the bill, but with return visits I had no complaints. The staff is friendly and the food tasty. My favorite is the strawberry waffle when the strawberries are fresh and in season. The last time that I ate at this location was in 2014 due to moving to a different town, so can't say for sure how it is currently. But if I get the chance I will return. read more

I have come here a few times but today was by far the worst. We sat down and waited patiently for someone to come and bring us waters, ask if we had questions whatever. Not a single person stopped by our table. Then they set up a large party right next to ours and was brought waters before they even sat. I was there with my young children who were hungry. Every time I have been there the service is slow and lazy. They don't seem to care. Overpriced. And I wait tables for a living! I know what service standards should be. I would like to raise the star rating on this establishment. I come every other week or so on my day off. Mid morning breakfast in order to find a parking place. The service is always very attentive and pleasant and the food rarely disappoints. The cooks are quick and consistently good. There are some wonderful specialty items available. Our family has always had a pleasurable dining experience and a delicious meal at Patty's. The breakfast and lunch meals are excellent and the owners are very personable and almost always make it a point to talk to their customers at their tables to find out how their food tastes. The portions are huge and the food is just "greasy diner" good! Ron (the owner) turned us on to onion rings with Heinz 57, seriously, the two go together like peanut butter and jelly. The Elvis Special is the BEST!!!! The place was always jam packed until the Mukilteo Speedway Cafe opened up across from QFC. Our family has gone to both places to eat and we prefer Patty's because the food just tastes better and we like the small diner atmosphere. Ate here yesterday for breakfast. Close by hotel that we were staying at. Food portions are huge. 3 eggs for regular meals or 4 eggs for the omelets. Hubby ordered the gyro omelet which needed the tzatziki sauce as a side. We had asked and they did provide. Son ordered loaded hash browns with meal but they only brought regular. Waitress realized mistake when brought out so she brought out them as a side so he did not have to wait for his meal when we had ours. read more

Finally got around to writing a review of Patty's Eggnest in Mukilteo. To start, parking is horrible, now on to the good stuff. The egg dishes are good, however, they are not WOW. At their prices I would expect their food to have a little more pizzaz. I had some Spanish/Mexican type egg dish, it was good, but it really didn't impress me. The eggs were a bit over cooked and their wasn't much of the salsa they mentioned on the menu. Need a bit more cheese as well. This breakfast place has a huge menu but I have found that they don't cook anything really well. The food is basic and simple. Go here for breakfast at breakfast time. Large portions but lunch they don't do well and I think that a different chef comes in at lunch hours and can't cook breakfast foods. My daughter's scrambled eggs were rubbery and over-cooked. My greek gyro sandwich was a mound of feta and sour cream with a few pieces of tomato and cucumber over a pita. Um, feta cheese and sour cream? It was odd. Go here early and get an omlet. Not really sure what happened to this place. It used to always be amazing. Stopped in for Father's Day brunch. Hubby got corned beef and I got chicken fried steak. I opted for the lunch version so that I got fries instead of hash browns. Seems like the recipe changed. Even my husband, who is not picky, said it tasted blah. The French fries were soggy and had a hair!!! I pointed it out and they didn't charge me. My hubby loved his meal though. Not sure if I'll go back to this location... Since Under New Management I'm sorry to see a lot has changed and not for the better. My husband has gone there twice since the new owners. The first time they gave him a salad and he had to wait a half-hour for his Burger. Second time he found two hairs in his food and again had to wait long time for it. He's too nice of a guy to say anything so I am putting this to let people know to be careful and look at their food. The previous owners were great and the food was amazing but now we will not be back just want to put this out there to bring awareness on food safety. While the food was great, the European American waitress getting an attitude almost completely overshadowed this. She "miscalculated" in her favor and when asked to breakdown her hand written check she completely tried to sidestep the fact that the items and the listed total were inconsistent. Then I asked another waitress to address the issue and she acknowledged. The 2nd waitress then asked the 1st waitress about the check discrepancy and she immediately got an attitude and raised her voice saying I should have asked her about it before (really tho!). Patty's Eggnest in Mukilteo used to be my go to breakfast spot. However, I will never be going to this restaurant again. I put up with the over priced items because the servers were so great and I like the thought supporting a locally owned business. However, yesterday after placing my breakfast order I watched the owner loudly berate both waitresses about my order. Yelling at them for an extended period of time for allowing me to order half portions. Never once did the owner come over and speak to me about his problem with my order, even after asking who it was for. I was sitting at the counter watching and listening to every rude thing he said about me, my order and the waitresses. When he wasn't satisfied that he had humiliated them enough he went back for a second round to yell at the cook. This is something I will not stand by and watch. I confronted the owner outside in the parking lot regarding his behavior. He told me "I don't give away food for free". He also stated that he didn't know the order was for me. As though that excuses his rude behavior to his employees and his customers. Everyone in the dining room could hear what he was saying. I paid $24 for my breakfast not including tip. No one got anything for free. You're a horrible owner and I will never come back to your restaurant! Shame on you. read more

Hard pass for me. I used to love this place but had started frequenting Speedway Cafe for breakfast more often in recent years. I returned today, and it wasn't great. It's crazy cold inside due to the door, which is often randomly propped open by other guests despite it being frigid outside. I ordered the Elvis French toast, which used to be delicious. Today they dropped the ball. It tasted like plain toast fried with no cream and minimal peanut butter. Weird. Maybe they just forgot a step? I ate half and put the other half to the side, figuring I could salvage it for my kids with extra cream and syrup at home. They threw away the second half instead of boxing it up for me (!), so I paid $17 for toast, most of which I didn't even get to eat. Lovely. They did the same to my friend, who didn't eat more than half of her food either. Not impressed. Speedway Cafe is much yummier and cheaper and has a much nicer atmosphere. My experience was still lovely simply because I had amazing company; food and atmosphere here is a solid pass though. read more
