Love the service , fast friendly with take out. Had all the utensils needed . The food was good. The pizza was strong and close to an East Coast pizza. The garlic knots are huge and could feed everyone with just them. The pep and sausage pizza was really good.

Have had a grab and go slice before, but stopped in to grab a pie and salad after OSU game. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little pizza shop in downtown Columbus. You can eat in or get carry out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is ample seating throughout with TVs to watch various games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a really nice beer selection and also offer cocktails. They also offer "slice" deals for lunch if you work downtown and want a reasonable lunch. Got a 12" pie with pepperoni and mushroom. The fresh mushrooms were amazing on the pizza. There was also a generous portion of cheese, but not a lot of sauce (which is fine with me). The crust also had a great flavor. Service was very good. Pizza was ready quickly and the staff was very pleasant and polite. I will definitely be back as they are a great pizza alternative to the CBus staples we all get tired of eating.

A friend who lives in Columbus told me I must try and review this pizza. We were NOT disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere: We drove all the way from Canton and was able to walk in and get our pizza that we ordered ahead about 5-10 minutes before they closed (they closed an hour early for Easter). So I didn't get to look around much on the inside but the street view is very nice. They seem to be on a busy road, they are very inviting from the street and had a warm, welcoming ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The young woman working the cash register (and I believe she is the same woman who took our order) was a delight. She was very nice, asked us what brought us to try their pizza and where were from. There was also a gentleman there who was very friendly as well and had good conversation. Food: While standing at the counter chatting with the two workers, I could smell the fresh mushrooms through the box. I knew that these mushrooms were going to be phenomenal. We got back to our hotel, opened the box and started salivating immediately. It was perfectly cooked, the crust was airy, had a good mouthfeel to it and the toppings were second to none. Overall: Anytime we come to Columbus this will hands down be our late night pizza fix. The pizza was delicious and the staff was just so friendly and you really don't get quality food AND service often anymore. That means a lot to me from a business.

10/10 experience! First of all, the double mushroom pizza was perfection! Perfect amt of mushroom, deliciously fresh mushroom. Will 100% be ordering this pizza again! Highly recommend. The cheese bread was also amazing! We went with a huge group (there were 11 kids and 10 adults) and the staff were so kind, patient, and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was overall, such a great, fun, relaxing evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a big long table in the front of the restaurant, lots of bar seating and more smaller tables in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was my first time since the name changed from Cafe Napolitana to Aracri Pizzeria on Gay when they moved from High Street. I was not disappointed because it is still the same set with counter service at lunchtime and table service at dinnertime. Dee and Palmo Aracri are still the owners with most of the same staff that are great people. I had 2 New York style slices of Sausage and Pepperoni and washed it down with Diet RC. Diet RC is still mostly sold in the South and great cola that was different taste than Coca-Cola and Pepsi. It is still like I remembered when it was Cafe Napolitana when it was on High Street. My friends shared the Garlic Knots with marinara sauce and bruschetta. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ambiance has an Italian feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will have to go back to Aracri Pizzeria on Gay for dinner soon. Great food, people, and service at Aracri Pizzeria on Gay Street.

Cute pizza shop. Locally owned!!! Pronounced "ah-ROC-ree. The staff is great. Service is quick. They often also sell pizza by the slice. The slices are a good size--light and crispy.. which is hard to achieve. I recommend the mushroom if you like mushrooms. Delicioso!

Service: Excellent Wanted to try something new before a show at the Palace Theatre. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our dinner. Food: Excellent We went wanting by the slice NY style, but they only serve that during lunch. We ordered a salad and pizza to share. The Italian salad was huge and packed with meat - they didn't skimp on this! The pizza was thin crust but not too thin and was cooked perfectly. I love being able to see the kitchen. Ambiance: Great It's a smallish place but has plenty of seating if you want to find in. Much atmosphere, good music, and clean. You need to check out this place if you're going to a show downtown and want something walkable that won't break the bank.

We…read morespent over $80 on a to-go order that included two Gina's Gem, a big cheese pizza, and a salad. The pizza arrived cold but was still edible. Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

I tried half of the Licensed to Dill which was just okay. Pickles on pizza isn't really my thing. Pesto on pizza wasn't really my thing either, but having half of a an Ecto Pesto changed my mind. Perhaps the chicken and bacon on the pie was what I really liked, but the point is that it all came together surprisingly well. It definitely gave me hope for the more meat-heavy pizza options that I tend to prefer.

You ever walk into a place and think, there's no way something special is hiding in here?…read more Yeah....That was me. An old tavern in Columbus. Dim. Historic. The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.

When I arrived around 10pm on a Sunday night, the place looked like it was in transition to closing (chairs flipped over on tables, no patrons, staff members watching TV in empty booths). However, I was welcomed in to order by the friendly woman at the counter. She answered a few of my questions and when I asked what her favorite was, she immediately said, "Buckeye Garlic Pizza." I took her advice and was also able to add up to three toppings at no additional charge (mushroom, olive and sausage). I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes for my personal 10" pie, which came out hot and with a friendly, "Thank You, Sweetie." I ran the pie back to my hotel and opened up the box. The pie looked amazing. Perfectly crispy outer crust, six cheeses and garlic, along with my toppings. The pie was pretty damn good, with steam coming off the top. The six-cheese blend was interesting, with the dominant flavors being American and Cheddar. The sausage, olives and mushrooms were all fresh and plentiful. Definitely a good option to satisfy my hunger for a late night pizza in Downtown Columbus.

Zero wait because we went on a rainy Friday afternoon. There are picnic tables without shade/umbrellas if you wanted to eat on premises though. We placed our order and waited in the car. It didnt take long at all which was a plus, also. However I took a start off because neither of the employees (both men) weren't very friendly. I don't ever expect much, but I expect the minimum beyond getting my order correct. With that said, here's what we got and what we think! Veggie samosas: 11/10. Holy moly these are the absolute best samosas I've ever had. They outshone the very good pizza. I'd eat 50 of them! Seriously I will go for the samosas alone. They're big, perfectly fried, and filled with the best mashed veg filling, very reminiscent of mashed potatoes. The spicy dipping sauce was like a branston pickle (a spicy vinegary sauce). Half and half Paneer Makhani/Butter Chicken (regular spice level) with a side of Tandoori Ranch sauce: Solid pizza in every way. We both liked the Paneer Makhani a touch more. Neither was spicy at all - next time I will bump up the spice. I loved how chewy the dough is! I get why people say it is a bit on the unsaucy side because it is. That didn't bother me at all, though. The ranch dipping sauce was really flavorful and a nice compliment! Definitely want to try more pizza flavors now. They do have a special for any pizza with 2 samosas and 2 sodas for $26. Good deal if you ask me. You can upgrade to a mango lassi for a couple bucks more. I will try that next time too!
