Covid precautions: 4/5 I know that Orange County has less restrictions than LA County so they do allow patrons to sit inside, without masks and eat but there is no regulations to it, as if it's just normal. Staff wearing masks, there's plexiglass and signs to wear a mask and keep 6ft distance. The seating area is not regulated. Everyone can sit next to each other. The pop machine everyone has access to get their own drinks and people do it without wearing their masks. No sanitizer available to help reduce cross contamination of touching surfaces. Food: 5/5 I ordered then double cheese burger with fries and I did not expect for the sandwich to be as big as it was. I normally finish all my food but I actually still has about 2-3 bites left that I could not finish. The fries were pretty good. Nothing special, classic fries. Ambiance: 4/5 I mentioned a lot of it above. So I will not repeat it. Would love to see more hand sanitizer available and maybe a staff member handling the pop machine versus all patrons and staff touching the same buttons. I almost gave 3 stars but I went up to 4 considering it was 4 stars before CoVid. The drive-thru was very popular on the Sunday afternoon we came for lunch. They have a narrow patio & that's where we sat. We were puzzled as to why they didn't offer indoor seating. Their dining room looked as if it could accommodate that convenience as other OC eating establishments have had to do. Anyway, it was a little cumbersome but we did use the patio. We ordered at the counter & they called our name when it was ready. I got one of my favorites, The Broasted Chicken & my Boyfriend got the Fish & Chips. You usually have to wait 20-30 mins if you get the chicken but it's worth it. This time not so much. It was still good but the breading was kind of soggy instead of crisp & the pieces were a bit smaller than I remember. It still tasted good & you become somewhat dazzled by the amount of fries they provide. Love the fries! They're fat & tender. If that's not enough carbs for you they throw in a few Potato Wedges & really good garlic rolls. Oh yeah, and Onion Rings. Keto...this ain't! To help absolve you of your sins you have a choice of Green Salad (fresh & crisp) or Cole Slaw. The Fish & Chips was good but not great & that too came with fries, onion rings, bread, salad or slaw. So my first experience at Paul's Place was around 830p on a sunday. I arrive with intentions on their well known burgers and shakes. The person who helped me was all but enthused to take my order, when I asked for a double cheeseburger combo with a milk shake they replied " we don't do substitutions "! Never in my 56 years have I heard of any fast food or restaurant chain that won't let you have a milk shake with a combo instead of a fountain drink and even if so they would simply charge the bill accordingly. Nonetheless I still agreed and asked for a double cheeseburger, fries and a milk shake after which they replied "we're just cleaned out shake machine, no more shakes tonight" ... I left , I walked away and went to volcano burgers down the street which was PACKED and I got a great meal. Moral of the story, paul's place clearly is losing it. read more

Their version of a Cesar salad had iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, a boiled egg, pepperoncinis, and avocado. Nope, that's definitely not a Cesar salad. For lunch or dinner I get their hamburgers, French fries or their delicious gyro's and fried zucchini's. And the staff are always friendly and they always have a smile on the face! My favorite go-to is the Colossal Burger, which is a pastrami burger with fried zucchinis. The woman tells me that The burger itself is $10. So that means $6 for fries and $2 for a drink? lol She proceeds to tell me that despite wanting a plain burger, they still charge for the tomatoes and the lettuce.... wouldnt i be doing them a favor by saving them more lettuce and tomatoes instead of me just throwing them away if i got it in my burger? whatever. i asked her to remove the drink, she told me the new price of $16. she continues to awkwardly stare at me, giggle, and speak to her coworkers on the headset. I told her i was better off going to in n out where i could get a fresh burger for half the price of what they were trying to charge me. They changed their ranch dressing to some shitty generic type. Every time we've given it a chance now, at least one of us has gotten sick. Hey man Covid or not this place is terrible. I use to come here prepandemic and it was always poppin! But, the tables were clean and the workers were more helpful. Now though, it's a different story. Why is it that I am waiting more than half an hour for my food when there aren't any cars in the drive thru? Why is it that I have to clean my own table to sit down? Why is the floor dirty with food and receipt paper all over the place? Yelp said to consider that every business is doing their best during Covid.
