Garden burger combo with fries.
Ericka S.

Another local favorite and part of our food rotation. It's definitely worth it and the food never disappoints. We usually order takeout and pickup within 20 minutes. I always order the garden burger combo, no onions or tomatoes, add pickle and extra sauce! The veggie patty is so hearty, delicious and filling. You can actually see the veggies in the garden patty. I wonder if they are homemade or ordered, either way they are top notch. The hubby orders various plates, but really enjoys the gyro and pastrami. When we do dine in, the service is good, fast and the dining room is spacious and clean.

Carne Asada Burrito, Sweet Potato Fries, Fried Zucchini, and some burger I didn't try.

The only thing I regret about Paul's Place is that it took me this long to try it. The restaurant's interior is the same of most diner style restaurants- welcoming and cozy. But it was the menu that made me realize I made the right decision to step in. The menu is split into American brunch and Mexican food. Hot dogs, burgers, burritos, salads, and tacos are abundant. I got the Carne Asada Burrito to play it safe and paired it with sweet potato fries. I'm glad I did, because it means I'm coming back to try everything else! The serving of the burrito was generous. Meat and beans with every bite, what more could one ask for? Sweet Potato Fries were sweet. They were also potatoes. And they were cut into fries. You get what you ask for in this case, and I'm glad I did. Zucchini fries? The crunch from the outside paired with the texture of the zucchini is an interesting but welcome experience. I suggest it. The staff offered salsa and large servings of ranch with the food, all of which were great additions to the already flavorful dishes I tried. I don't know Paul personally, but I'm glad I went to his place. Maybe if I meet him one day I can invite him to my place and he can teach me how to make good food, too.

Good food, they have really good everything. I just wish their burgers would be a little bit warmer. The burgers are really good but every time I go, I get a cold burger. I've even asked for well done and I still get it cold. Their chicken burger is amazing. Their pancakes are amazing. They even have Horchata. They have Mexican candy grilled hot peppers. I frequently weekly. Ambience is laid-back chill homie

Its hard to find a place that's consistent in what they do and won't break the bank. Pauls place is my go to for good reasonably priced food. Some favorites are the grill cheese, club sandwiches and zucchini's are to die for.

Lots of cozy booths..they serve brisk fast lunch and dinner always...I had chicken taquitos ..it was complimented with salad, rice, salsa, sour cream and cucumber slices. My sister had roasted chicken (like half of the chicken was served...with rice and salad.. A very nice time..stayed as long as we wanted..staff took your orders upfront and called your name to pick up...seat yourself.

Paul's Special combo, so good!

One of my favorite spots in north county for lunch. Always clean with a friendly staff. Gyro salad with lamb is a favorite, along with the Paul's Special burger combo!

Great food, great service! The lamb gyro is the best I've ever had. Paul's is worth the visit if you're in town.

Parking is shared with nearby businesses, but there were plenty of spots. The dining area has lots of tables, though it's a little tight on space. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. The food was delicious across the board. I ordered the Molcajete, which came loaded with refried beans, chorizo, avocado, potatoes, a sunny side up egg, carne asada, grilled slice of cheese, and pickled purple onions. The portions were huge -- I couldn't finish mine. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I added shrimp for a little extra and it was absolutely worth it. Others at the table ordered the chilaquiles, which come in red, green, or a combo, and can be customized with chorizo, short rib, or other proteins. The feedback was positive, though the portion size looked a bit small compared to other dishes. The very berry French toast was a hit with my daughter. She loved the sauce -- flavorful but not too sweet -- and the bread was perfectly toasted on the outside with a soft center. The burritos were generously sized. The surf and turf stood out, with perfectly cooked shrimp and meat. The sauce had a bit more kick than expected, but it was delicious overall. The carne asada fries were also a great size, with fresh, quality ingredients and great flavor. A few things to note: there are no fountain drinks, and the agua frescas don't come with refills. The menu has a great selection of Mexican-inspired café drinks -- café de olla, Mexican hot chocolate, lattes, and more.

Oh MAN I've only got good things to say about this place…read more They're open late, the staff is lovely, and the food is divine. I always opt for the chicken and rice bowl with white and hot sauce, but they've got a very vast selection of different food as well. Would recommend!

PREMISE: I went here on a Sunday evening with 3 other people; but, I've also ordered from them via…read moreDoor Dash too. WAIT TIME: Very short wait time. We got our food really quickly but it still was warm when we had got our food. FOOD: Different styles of getting your food, whether you want a gyro or bowl. I opted for the bowl but my friend got the gyro. The gyro slightly fell apart due to the integrity of the wrap but otherwise, it still was good. I got the combo for my protein (lamb and chicken); I would suggest the lamb because it's not super gamey and it's very flavorful. As for the chicken, I thought it was okay. It was a little dry for me to be honest, even after with the addition of the white and green sauce. I also got the fries there and they came out fresh, hot, and crispy. Seasoned simply, but it still was very flavorful (way better than basic plain fries from a fast food restaurant). SERVICE: Service was simple/fine. We just had our order taken and that was it. They did bring our food to us rather than having us go to the counter which I thought was kind. PARKING: Parking is all free! It is in a busy plaza, but there are plenty of open spots all over the place. INTERIOR: The interior was fine, nothing fancy or extra. COMPARISON: I would definitely recommend this place over Halal Guys by a LANDSLIDE. I have always gotten stomach aches from Halal Guys despite going to several different locations. I have had Naz's twice now and I haven't disappointed by what I've gotten. They also have a buy 1, get 1 free deal on DoorDash that seems to go on every so often! TLDR: I would recommend this place, especially if you're craving this type of flavor/cuisine. It's open late, quality is consistent, and the price to portion ratio is great.
