I have used groomers for the last 20 years or so and this establishment has got to be one of the worse I have ever come across. I first called to schedule an appointment and was told by the owner, Troy, that he was on his way to the bank and he would call me back within 30 minutes so I could schedule an appointment. I never received a call back. Against my better judgement, I called the next day and was able to secure an appointment for my dog. When I dropped my dog off, I told the groomer if he ran into any mats or burrs to just shave it off and not to spend a lot of time trying to de-matt. I left, went home, and received a call about 15 minutes later and was told to come pick up my dog because he had too many burrs, and he didn't want to spend all day on him. Mind you, we both went over the dog before I left, and he did have some burrs, but it's summer and most all dogs get them this time of year. What??? He doesn't want to groom a dirty dog?? When I arrived, my dog was sopping wet, apparently they started to bathe him, and then decided to stop. Most decent groomers brush the dog out first before they even get them wet. Apparently, they did not brush him out first, just squirted water on him and then decided he was too dirty and then called me and said to pick him up. So I went and picked up a sopping wet dog. I should have never decided to give this place a chance and stuck with my regular groomer. I then called my regular groomer, who happily told me to bring my dog in. I brought him in and she looked him over and said, he's fine. Most dogs have burrs this time of year and that he was just a dirty dog that needed a bath and a clip. This is a dog groomer.. do they expect a perfect dog to be dropped off? If you actually have a dog that needs to be groomed, don't take them to this establishment. Make sure your dog is clean first and then I'm sure they will happily take your money. read more

I had my first appointment on Tuesday and they were very flexible. I had school that day so I had to drop my dog off at 8 in the morning and pick her up at 3 in the afternoon, that's 7 hours they had to watch my dog, making the process for me very convenient. I was very surprise that the price is so low, and I even got another 5 dollars off because this is the first time I go here. My pup, a Maltese mix, went for a haircut because she had all this knots I couldn't get rid off myself. She is a very hyper dog and I couldn't even get her to stand still let alone groom her. She came back with an excellent haircut with all the knots gone and nice hairfree butt. This is the first time I go to a pet groomer and definitely won't be the last. I've been taking my shih tzu to Paw Lounge since I've moved to the area, just never got around to writing a review. This place is great. They're always been very accommodating when it comes to scheduling. I had called in last minute to see if they had any openings and even though they were fully booked, they scheduled ChubChub in with no hesitation. Chubbs always leaves smelling fresh and the smell would linger on him for weeks. They even tie a cute bandana on him. Everytime after they finish giving Chubbs a cut, they would let him roam around (no cages here!). He would look so happy when I come get him! read more

Not too many recent reviews to check out. Now I know why. Although the "Open" sign is on, nobody is there. Hours for Saturday is advertised as 8am to 5pm. Came in last Saturday to get a nail clip on a Chihuahua and was told by the young lady there she was getting ready to leave and declined our business. This was at 12:30 in the afternoon. Came back today at 2:30 to try again. "Open" light is on. Doors locked. Nobody there. Guess we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

They let me make an appointment and come in on the same day, washed my dog quickly, did his anal glands, cut his nails, and even did a little trim around his face (since he had some fur covering his eyes) for $30! I can't say enough good things about this place. I love I am able to support a local business . And get excellent service. I have recommended this place to everyone and had a few actually go and become repeats. They are accommodating with nail clipping walk ins. But for full groom get that appointment in! I took Melia, my German Shepherd, to Paw Lounge today and she surprisingly LOVED it!! Normally she runs in the opposite direction when we get near the groomers, but this time she didn't. They were extremely helpful in answering all questions I had, but what's most important to me was the fact Melia left smelling and feeling amazingly with a smile on her face. I took our Siberian Husky to Paw Lounge and loved it! I'm really picky with his feet, since he tore a toenail, but the Paw Lounge did a great job clipping his toenails. When we went to pick him up he was not caged, just visiting with the other dogs and having a good time. I would definetly recommend this place and Arthur will be going back. read more

I'm not sure who's wiring these reviews that they actually have a 4.5 star rating, totally boggles my mind! My maltese was about 10 months when I took him in to be traumatized at this place. His hair had grown very long and it was summer so I reluctantly decided it was time for a summer cut. I brush his coat and clean his eyes daily so he is used to being handled and groomed and very cooperative and submissive when he is being groomed. When I dropped him off, I told them that he is used to being handled and will be very easy. When I picked him up, I was excited to see him that I just paid and left. As I was driving home, he was very clingy, literally with his paws wrapped around my arm trying to climb on me while I was driving so I knew he had been thru a rough time. When I got home and at closer inspection, saw how uneven his cut was... some parts cut super short while other spots had long pieces. I was like WTF and on top of that, he would take 2 or 3 steps and sit down. After trying to coax him to come to me, I went over and lifted his tail and saw that they had shaved the butt right to the skin (he hadn't been neutered yet) that his whole back area was raw including his little testicles (can I say that haha). He couldn't even walk properly for a couple weeks until the hair had grown out a bit. My dog and I were so traumatized that I am still reluctant to take him to a groomer. I didn't want him to look like he was groomed by a blinded folded monkey who got a hold of a pair of scissors and just went to town on my dog. Until my groomer trust issues are resolved, I'll be the blindfolded monkey. It may come out bad but at least he'll be cut with love. read more

I use to love this place until our last trip to the groomers. When our dog came home she had burn marks from the clippers and dry blood on her chest . We thought it was just going to go away but for the next week her whole chest was super red and the burn marks looked incredibly painful we ended up giving the dog medicine. Not only that but there were patches of hair not cut on our dog. It looks like they were in a hurry and couldn't be bothered with caring for this client . I'm not sure why this happened the last time. It's quite different than the other good jobs we've seen. My mom didn't want to complain but I think management needs to be aware of what happens. read more

I'm actually pretty disappointed that I couldn't even get a call back to get an appointment set up to try this place. I called yesterday, a Thursday, at 9:55 am (during business hours) to see if I could set an appointment. When I called, it rang for a while and went to voicemail, and to leave a message and that they will call back. I left my name and number, and never got the call back! For having 5 stars on yelp, I was expecting the service to be better. If you're running a business, it's not a bright idea to let the phones go to voicemail during business hours, let alone never getting back to a potential customer. Wasted my time waiting, but found another awesome groomer. Their loss is my gain. Really disappointed. read more

I brought my 11lb Maltese, Thor to Paw Lounge about a week ago and he still looks and smells great. I've heard from other groomers that Thor does not like being groomed and I should stay with him. When I warned Troy, he assured me that Thor would be fine. I picked him up 2 hours later and Thor's cut looked great and he was super happy hanging out with Troy at the Paw Lounge. I love Paw Lounge. We did mobile grooming for a long time and then decided to cut back and try a regular groomer. We went through a couple of groomers and we have found a home for our Golden Retriever Eddy. We have been going for a long time, I just barely got around to write a review. I have been having a mobile groomer come to the house since I hate the wait time of a dog grooming shop. My normal mobile groomer was booked for a few weeks and saw this place which is close to my house and decided to give them a shot. I was impressed by the shop, the friendliness, price, amount of time my dog was there and the excellent grooming. Guys here were spot on with the cut. I have taken my dog to about a dozen shops in the area. My husband and I both agree that we will not be taking our dog anywhere else but here. If you are like us, and consider your dog an additional child, you will fall in love with the Paw Lounge. The staff there treats our dog as if it were their own family member. The facility is clean, and all the dogs are always wagging their tails!!! Most the other places I have taken my dog, have left my poor dog locked up in a cage for multiple hours.
