This is the company to go for. I had their #1 technician Jojo come over and he was very courteous and professional. He was able to assess the issue and provide a quote within minutes. He's very patient in explaining what a water expansion tank was and the difference between a water heater tank versus tankless. My family ended up choosing the tank version which come with a 6 year warranty and 1 year warranty for the labor. There are various pricing for various packages and we picked the one that was within our budget. He even gave us a senior discount for my elderly parents which is a bonus. Let me tell you this guy was superb. He was very professional and fun to chat with. Got everything installed and cleaned up within a few hours. Definitely a 10 star job well done. What amazes me is that his van has everything and is well stocked. So we were able to get the job done same day. What a relief! Friendly young man who walked me through my options. Though I'd done a lot of research and had already identified the model of water heater I wanted and there was zero upsell. The interesting part? After all of my research Tony's quote came in almost exactly what I'd expected to pay and highly competitive as well. We had a problem with our water heater leaking from overflow outlet on a Saturday evening We called the 800 number and were immediately connected with customer service who setup an appointment Sunday morning. They called early on Sunday offering an earlier appointment. When the technician, Joesph arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem with expansion tank and one intake value. No problems with actual main tank. The price was very fair. After the work was completed in a couple of hours, we checked the water pressure and found that the old water regulator was failing resulting in almost double the recommended in home water pressure. Our water heater started leaking three days ago, and we made an appointment with Payless for the first time. It was a no-show. When rechecking the automated text, whoever spoke to my dad had put 4-6 AM instead of 4-6 PM, which was the agreed-upon time. By 6 PM, we gave them a call, and they told us Oopsie, and no one is around at this time to help us. WTF! We were quite irritated at this point, debating if we should find someone else, but stuck with it since they were already on the line and most businesses were probably closed by now, not really leaving much of an option. Whoever spoke to my father at their front desk gets 0 stars for professionalism, but the guy who came to replace our water heater today, Carlos, was great. The 5 stars are just for him. He came right on time, explained things well, and was easy to talk to. I was surprised it was only one person working on this, as those things look heavy. He was able to promptly remove our leaky water heater and replace it with a new one. I did not feel like we were being taken advantage of price-wise, although water heaters are still expensive... it probably would have been more expensive elsewhere. I got a call from the company offerring a mainanence on our tankless waterheater. Since the waterheater is 6 years old I agreed. A technician came tried to do mainenace and fried the motherboard. He didn't know what to do. He broke our water heater and left us without hot water. I paid for the mainenace. The next day another technician came and blamed everyhing on a leak! Now they need to do more repairs and parts replacement charging much more ! The initial installation was also a problem. Another plumber noticed that the pipe did't have enough tilt that can cause a potential leak. Sure enough. Now I am blamed for what was installed incorrectly at the first place and now it became my problem that the technician fried the motherboard! Is it a scam to get more money? We had no problems with the unit before they started messing with it. I regret I belived them and agreed to do the work...
