Can't figure out when they are open. Love their food, especially their potato salad. Beef brisket is very good, too.

Stopped by here for lunch after snagging a deal on Groupon, $12.50 for $20 worth of food (2 $10 vouchers). I ordered the rib sandwhich which is served on a soft, pillowy bun with pickles, slaw and sauce; also comes with a bag of chips. In addition, I ordered a side of smoked mac n cheese (because why not) and a side of peach cobbler. I really wanted to try the banana pudding but there wasn't any available so I settled for the cobbler. I'm not a fan of cobbler but theirs was good. All of this was right at $10 bucks or so. I may have found a BBQ gem! I recently heard about this BBQ place, although they have been open for about a year and a half. Well anytime I hear BBQ my ears perk up and my stomach starts to growl (see my Yelp Profile). So on this cold windy Friday I stopped by to checkout PBs BBQ. Located in a small wooden shack on the side of Jordon Lane in Huntsville, Alabama I found PBs BBQ. I walk up and was politely greeted by the cashier and I told her I needed a few minutes to look at their menu board since I was a first-timer! No problem, she said. I chatted with two customers waiting for their orders and they suggested the spicy sausage. Well I love spicy sausage, so that was my first menu item to try on my first visit. I ordered the spicy sausage sandwich, a bag of chips, and a soft drink. The spicy sausage wasn't too spicy, it had the right amount of heat. The bun was very good. Looks like they didn't "cheap-out" on the buns. I expect these were not the cheapest buns they could have ordered. The bun was very fresh and good. Good choice PB's!!!! Good bun + good spicy sausage = good spicy sausage sandwich. I learned this food math in the 3rd grade!!! The cashier was so pleasant that I wanted to hug her. My overall experience was very positive and my ticket was $7.50, not bad for a quick lunch. There are many items on their menu that I want to try on my next visit to PBs BBQ. read more

We chanced upon PBs , hungry and lost, and we were thrilled with the food! Very pleasantly surprised by excellent BBQ, everything from brisket, sausage, to smoked Mac and cheese and BBQ beans were tasty and hearty and exactly what you want from a BBQ joint. While PB's was not our first choice for BBQ in the area, none of us regretted it, as we ate in silence enjoying the savory and unexpectedly good food. I asked "what do you think?" And got a few nods and grunts from my group, I then realized I was talking too much, interrupting both their and my meal, and proceeded to enjoy every last morsel of the meal. Easy 4 stars, my only go-back is that they have like 2 sauces, whereas I personally crave variety in sauce. I look forward to going back read more

The best thing about this place, in my opinion, is the cute shack and the very polite and nice ladies who work there. They have a wonderful presence about themselves that just makes you happy being there. The food, though, is average, and in an area of exceptional bbq, I'm just not going to return here, unfortunately. The potato salad I got last week was inedible. My husband, who eats anything, agreed, and we threw the pint out. Baked beans, pork, everything just average. Loaded potato screamed, "don't eat me when you can get a way better one at Lawler's. It had very little cheese, sour cream, and bacon bits, and so little sauce that after 3 bites, I stopped eating because it was so dry. I'll keep an eye on future reviews of PB's and hope their product improves, because I'd like to support a small locally owned eatery with such nice owners. read more

I stop by to grab a quick bite for lunch one day. The sandwich was good. The meet was not super smoky like I like it. Having said that they did put plenty of meat on the sandwich and it was a good value as far as that is concerned. The lady at the window was very friendly and that goes along way as well read more

To start with, I am a fat guy and BBQ connoisseur, I had heard that this was the best new BBQ shack in Huntsville from a friend who's opinion I respect particularly when talking about Q. So I stopped in and tried it, nice place with a walk up and order window. I was hungry because I had skipped lunch so ordered the two meat plate with the Alabama staple of pulled pork and not an Alabama staple beef brisket, I got this because I like it even though it's kinda sacrilegious to serve it in Alabama and it's very hard to get perfected so I thought this will be a good test. First of all this place is pricey, $13.63 after tax with no drink for two meats, two sides and a piece of toast (untoasted white bread). I will assume that one of the reasons I was a bit let down is because it was so late in the day (3:30PM) I'm sure the meat that had been in the warming tray in a large Ziploc bag had been there from well before lunch time just soaking in all of its fat juices. the pork was tender but was a bit greasy and didn't have enough of a smoked flavor, needed more rub, smoke or something and less grease. Now onto the one think that's hard to get right, the brisket, this was cooked OK but tasted very greasy which may also have been partly due to the fat cap that was still on there, it too needed more flavor, it was tender but so are most beef roasts cooked in a crock pot which is what this tasted like. Now to the sides, macaroni and cheese was seemingly baked and was OK but a bit too greasy as well. Finally the one saving grace was the potato salad, this was awesome stuff and reminded me of my once favorite BBQ joint in the Huntsville metro area and that was Thomas Pit BBQ which closed recently, I thought I'd never taste any like it but this is as close as you'll get. I'll be back just for the potato salad but the BBQ was just OK and needed more, flavor, smoke and less grease. read more

Tried their pulled pork sandwich today. The meat was really excellent, and the side of potato salad I ordered was fantastic! The only negative I found was due to the large amount of meat on the sandwich, it really needed more BBQ sauce than they gave me. Other than that, first rate BBQ! read more

They were great when they started, but quality has gone downhill. Expect dry meat with little seasoning. They are stingy with sauce - filling the thimble sized cups only half full and charging for more. Half the time they are out of what you want anyway so it's a waste of time to stop over there. Despite the convenient location to my home and work this place is worth driving by and finding better food. read more

Drove 15 miles on a Sunday, thinking of good ol' BBQ all the way, only to find them closed. NO "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" hours to be seen. Came back another day to a great surprise. Nice people, good menu, and nice picnic type area outside. And, the spicy sausage and BBQ sandwiches were super! read more

The beef brisket was fatty and greasy; the pulled pork was dry and flavorless; the Texas toast was actually "Texas bread" because it was not toasted; the potato salad and beans were nothing to "shout about". I passed by this place several times and decided to stop by and check it out. I ordered the whole chicken...it was disappointing to find out that it was DRY, overcooked and no flavor...I think it stayed on the smoker maybe 30 minutes more than it was supposed to be smoked for. I ended up throwing out the other half in the garbage because I couldn't swallow the dry meat. My mom makes better chicken than that...am not sorry to say that. Ordered well over 30 minutes ago. My husband and daughter got their plates only for my husbands to not be what he ordered. 45 minutes I finally get mine. My son and my daughters boyfriend still don't have theirs. Finally an hour after ordering we get the club sandwich that should've taken about 15 minutes to fix. My son got the ribs which are like eating shoe leather. Would not recommend this place. Good thing we are only passing through. And they were not crowded when we got here. read more

brisket was interesting. very dark and smoky. not the texas style i'm used to but decent. smoked mac and cheese was a little too peppery but fine. the lady running the place was very friendly and the cook checked in on how we liked the food which was nice. read more
