Great service. Very friendly. Unfortunately, chicken was over cooked and the fries tasted heavy and greasy.

Highly disappointed with my experience the last 3 times I have come to PDQ. This time was my last. It started with a lack-luster girl that took my order. We could barely hear her, she didn't smile once, and she took down my order incorrectly. She honestly looked new and like she was already miserable with the job. Then we move to the window to get our order. The girl was pleasant, however this is the third time in a row where PDQ has missing giving me part of my order. Today, it was missing an order of fries as well as the sauces we asked for up front. All of this would have been fine, if when I turned around drove back and brought it to their attention they were even the least bit apologetic. They took my receipt, looked irritated that I brought it to their attention, handed me my food and walked away. Not a sorry about that, I don't know how we missed that, here you go and sorry. Nothing. When PDQ first opened the service was amazing! These last 6 months or so have done a complete 180. The employees are not personable, they look like they are being bothered to do the work, and the overall experience of "People Dedicated to Quality" has been completely erased. This will be the last time I visit this location, as I tried to give them 3 tries over a 2 month period with the same results each time. I am totally, completely, and utterly in love with PDQ tenders. I've never been disappointed at any location. They taste so delicious and fresh to me and just have this special quality that I don't taste in other tenders. Their milk shakes, DELICIOUS and creamy...it doesn't have that fake taste like McDonald's or any other fast food. It's very comparable to Chic Fil A shakes and I would even say maybe a bit better. The other item I love is their cookies. Now BIG no-no is that for some reason this location doesn't have PDQ's special made cookies. I have no idea why, and it is disappointing because this is now the closest location to me and I can't enjoy those yummy chocolate chip cookies. They still sell cookies but they are prepackaged and from a completely different company that I can't recall the name of but have seen in stores before. Not fresh and just prepackaged. This location lacks the quality of some of the other locations I've been to. I also recently placed an order Uber Eats and added that I wanted both Honey Mustard and Cheese on the side. When I got home I only saw one sauce. I shrugged, dipped my chicken in it and it turns out they MIXED both honey mustard and cheese into the same cup. I just ended up laughing it off. I don't blame them entirely though, I'm sure they were just confused and read it as if I wanted both. All and all, the food is still good but it's not the best location. read more

Since the quarantine, I have not been going out to restaurants much but I was in the neighborhood and started craving those wonderful fries from PDQ... And that garlic sauce! So I stopped by. The place was immaculate, all the staff was masked. They were all incredibly friendly and personable. I felt very welcome. I ordered and sat down. The lovely young lady at the counter brought me my food and ... no fries. Now they serve these "waffle fry" things. And the garlic sauce has changed... there was barely a hint of garlic to it. I can't taste garlic in my mouth now and that taste used to really linger. Actually, the dipping sauce had almost no flavor... not sure what it was even supposed to taste like. Not ranch, not buttermilk and not garlic. Just... I don't know. The waffle fry things were nice and crisp but really the only flavor was an undercurrent of ....well, oil that has gone off. I only ate a few of them. They just did not get better. The chicken strips? Well, I guess they were OK. It's a shame that they decided to change what was a great product and now it's just .... meh. I now have the perfect stop on a Sunday when Chick-fil-A is closed. PDQ, has a great concept of fried chicken, and salads. I've been here two times for lunch once thru the drive-in, which was actually pretty slow the day I was here, and another time walking in at lunch time. Their fried chicken sandwich is delicious. The shoestring french fries are also pretty good. Definitely a good choice for fried chicken. read more

I got food from here for the first time and it was just ok. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. I also got a side of their broccoli. The chicken was really dry, almost choke-down. I was really disappointed because I've had the tenders from a different location and they were delicious. I was trying to be healthy but it was not very enjoyable. The broccoli though...really good! I will def get the broccoli again maybe with a couple tenders. read more

I have been to the PDQ before, and I was not that impressed. This PDQ location was much better. They were Busy, but nothing too busy for them to handle. We were quickly greeted, our order was taken, everything was perfect what more could you ask for? The dining area was clean. They had the Coke freestyle machines, with plenty of options. I really did like that they did have green tea available in a dispenser. They also have fresh lemonade, but we did not get that. They have lots of sauce options, which was really fun to try different sauces. We opted for the zucchini fries over regular fries, they were delicious! read more

I ordered the fried nuggets with zucchini fries. The fried were still drenched in grease. I had to get a stack of napkins to soak off as much of the oil as possible. The nuggets are not hand battered. They look like the frozen kind you buy already covered in breading. The lemonade is great. I wanted to find a good spot on gulf to bay other than chick fil a. But this does not make the cut. The customer service is amazing and they're very fast getting the food out to you. Inside the store is very clean. BEST PDQ location. I live about 8 minutes away, so it's incredibly convenient for me to pop in every now and then! The employees are literally every single time, so polite, sweet, and professional. Food comes out fast. Hot. Delicious. I've never once had an issue with my order. Their autumn menu is insane by the way! Addicting!! I also love that they remember your name and read everything back to you at the second window- it's the little things like that that make a difference. You used to have dressing cups that would hold enough dressing for your whole salad and now you have tiny cups so people have to ask for extra. This is basically overpriced fast food. They attempt to straddle the line between a made to order sit down restaurant, but fail. The food has obviously been sitting in warming trays for too long, while the prices are much higher than chick-fil-a or other fast food places. Meanwhile the general manager seems to be more interested in having his staff suck up to him and laugh at his jokes than in serving fresh food. Either save your money and go to a real restaurant, or save time and go to a lower priced place like WaWa or Chick-fil-a. read more

At this location, I believe they are relatively new, the store was really clean and the service is good. The chicken tender was good but our mistake was getting the BBQ chicken bowl. The sauce was way overpowering, almost make it inedible, took a few bite and have to stop. Trying to pick the chicken off and they are still covered with that nasty sauce. 3 hours ago The PDQ restaurant in Clearwater could use some customer service training. We pulled into the drive through about 8:50 PM. There were two cars ahead of us and no one behind. When I reached the order window and began to open my mouth to order, the girl said "we're closed, it just termed 9". It had literally just rolled over to nine. I asked her how she could have us wait in line and then tell us no food. Perhaps the menu signs should turn off before nine. Please give to customers some warning. We had to back up to be able to get into the parking lot. If this is the culture of PDQ, I can certainly get chicken many more places which we did. Maybe you have so much business it doesn't matter. Stopped by on a whim for a quick dinner last night. I'm not a PDQ expert, I had only visited the St Pete location once or twice before. However this seemed as though it'd fit the bill for something quick, tasty and not too pricey I like the environment here. The lighting is relaxing, the patio seating is enjoyable and inside it has a nice feel that seems a bit upscale for a fast food restaurant. The service was great in our experience. The cashier was helpful and friendly and even hooked my kiddo up with a chocolate Yoo-hoo AND regular milk! If my kids happy, I'm happy I got the Thai peanut bowl for myself; kids chicken tenders for my daughter and the fruit chicken salad for my mom We all enjoyed our meals. They were freshly made and no funky mystery meat was anywhere to be found. I like that they make all their sauces in house. First time eating at a PDQ. Good variety of chicken entrees to choose from. Ordered the BBQ Ranch chicken sandwich with fries. Sandwich was delicious. Orders come out quickly and good service. I like there is a Fountain cleaning station where you can wash your hands before and after. I would definitely come here again and would try something different. read more

Multiple complaints...Ordered pick up, didn't have anything not the drinks ready after I arrived even though I got a notification that it was ready. It took another 15-25 minutes to get my order. After my order was ready, no salad dressing for the two salads I ordered, asked for multiple different t sauces because I ordered a few different meals and only got honey mustard. They didn't give me one of my three zucchini fries that I ordered and the ones I got were pretty much all breading. On top of all that when I ordered though PDQ website somehow it made me order through Post-mates and they up charged me on every item. Worst experience I ever had at a fast food place. read more

Discovered Shorty's Gourmet while looking for a quick but good early dinner tonight. We came from the beach and wanted something light but quick and tasty. The strip mall where they are located is at the very far end so we nearly missed it. So glad we gave it a try. You go through their deli and grocery section to get to the tables. Nichole met us and answered our questions. She recommended the Po Boy sandwiches (shrimp or grouper) and also the Reuben sandwich. Two of us had the grouper and my wife had the Reuben. Super delicious everything. Maybe we were just hungry but we cleaned our plates. Their fries are home made and highly recommend them for the table. They have seating inside but we sat outside where we got to see a beautiful rainbow as the skies opes up. Suggest eating outside. Service was fast. They have all kinds of beer and wine that you can pick out and take to your table or ask for it. They also serve breakfast all day!! Will definitely be back there. What a gem of a discover, shhh. I walked into get a salad and when I walked up there were two people taking orders for customers. I was next in line and when one of the order stations. Eva me available the employee walked off and wouldn't take my order. The other employee fumbled with the customer they were working with and as I stood there for well over 10 minutes the other employee did busy work. It was so obvious I was profiled and ignored by this employee. They didn't greet me, they didn't hold on someone will be right with you. The service was shit. I even walked out and while doing so they watched me leave and didn't bother to stop me. I really love their food but this location needs work in their customer service. read more

Surprisingly yummy chicken strips! This is definitely on my quick eats rotation from now on. Strips/nuggets and fries with several options. Sauces were good. Not at all impressed and will not spend money here again. Fries were soggy, not hot. Chicken sandwich was dry and did not have the extras I ordered and paid for. Maybe they do better if you eat-in. So happy they have opened a new PDQ near my place of work so I go here about every other week since I figured out it was here. It's all fresh food, which is awesome for a fast food joint! If there is anything that you must order, it is the zucchini fries. They are the perfect type of crunchy and taste just like fried green beans. I am not sure what the dipping sauce they come with is but I don't even care it's so good. Dangerously delicious. ;) The chicken nuggets are always cooked just right! Never over cooked crumbly burnt things and they taste fresh too. The chipotle sauce is a personal favorite but i haven't tasted one I didn't like. The staff at this location have always been very nice. When the line outside gets long they actually come out with little cups of lemonade! How cool is that? Stopped here during a lunch rush one day because the food is usually great and the atmosphere is top notch as far as fast food goes. While in line I overheard an employee state that their system was down so they were asking for patience. Fair enough, that explains the line. When I placed my order I was informed that since the system was down, they wouldn't be able to charge anyone and so the food was free. Just randomly drove by this place 2 weeks ago and decided to give it a shot. I've never heard of PDQ before, nor have I been to one before but of course I spot them everywhere now. Within the last 2 weeks I have been here 3 times and that's mainly because of these reasons: - a good price value - fast and friendly service - delicious food!!! I usually try to avoid fried food as much as possible, so I tried their salad, however I saw all these people ordering tenders so I got the salad with tenders on it and absolutely loved it. On my second visit I got the grilled chicken tenders and zucchini fries, both of which were very tasty. Chicken tenders, chicken or turkey sandwiches and salads make up the PDQ menu. They seem to have a larger variety from the big chain chicken place down the road. PDQ is a great place to stop for a fast lunch and not feel as guilty as you would at another fast food restaurant. From the chicken tenders to the huge selection of dipping sauces, there is almost something for everyone..unless you have a kid who is a vegetarian, then you're out of luck here. I know, I know.. what kid doesn't like chicken nuggets right?! Well my kid doesn't and since PDQ is mostly about chicken we have to get a kids meal elsewhere. I paid 8 bucks for the crispy chicken salad. It was pre packaged lettuce with about 6 bites of breaded chicken on top. I ate the chicken and picked at the lettuce. Not satisfying at all and uncreative. Also got the zucchini fries- they tasted good but they weren't fresh. I love PDQ and enjoy it as often as I can since I live only a few minutes away. I went on Saturday evening and was greeted at the first window pleasantly but when I got up to the second window, the young man seemed to have an attitude ? Or maybe just having an off day? Not sure but I asked for 4 creamy garlic sauces and he seemed bothered that I asked for 4. Usually I love customer service from PDQ and their employees, but Saturday was lackluster.
