PDQ to me, is kind of like a Chick fil a impersonator. They do chicken, specifically tenders. But you can also get a chicken sandwich or chicken on salad or chicken of the spicy variety. I liked it. The sandwich came with a big slab of lettuce which might have been too much green for some- but I enjoyed- along with tomato and mayo (#hatemayo). The fries were pretty good, comparable to McDonalds but not quite at that level. They also have those coke machines where you make your own flavors. My sandwich tasted fresh..it was very neat and well packaged. The lemonade, which is individually squeezed on property, BTW, was super tart and sweet. I watered mine down a little bit because it was too much for my liking, but maybe it's because I asked for no ice. Tip: Try all of the sauces! I think the menu is well constructed - the chicken fingers serve as a cornerstone, but there are also a variety of sandwiches and salads based on turkey or chicken. They are fresh, hot and great. They were pretty salty, but again I do not like too many fries. I should have gotten another side, but I don't eat coleslaw. Maybe next time I will get the fresh cut apples and toffee dip. Much better than any other fast food place. The lemonade is fresh squeezed and was BANGIN!!!! I'm sad to give this location lower stars because I'm a PDQ super fan, but this location compared to other PDQ's is definitely on the lower end of freshness. I've been to this location a couple of times. The first time the tenders and fries were hot, fresh and delicious. The next couple of times I went to this location, the tenders were good but not amazing and the fries weren't hot or fresh. It seemed like they were the remnant fries that were leftover after all the hot fries were served. The first time it happened I figured they were just having an off night, but after a second time of ordering the exact same thing (tenders and fries), I'm going with luke warm fries and not hot and fresh food is the norm. For a fast food joint, this is every bit four stars. Well organized with a focused menu, fresh cooking, and plenty of employees to help. Some of the tables sat dirty a bit too long, and weren't fully cleaned by the staff. A bit of training and oversight should solve that, though. As for the food, it was all really well made and served piping hot. Crispy chicken salad with blueberry ginger vinaigrette was exceptionally tasty and full of fresh lettuces and other goodness. The tenders were, of course, the hit-- especially dipped in the buffalo blue sauce: WOW. Freestyle coke machine for me and the wife and hand spun shakes for the kids.
