Pretty darn good chicken sandwiches. My husband ordered the limited time BBQ bacon ranch chicken sandwich. He enjoyed it and especially liked the crunch that the slaw added. I ordered the limited time pimento cheese chicken sandwich and it was divine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy. Their crispy chicken breading is very flavorful. The pimento cheese was full of flavor as well. We got a side of the zucchini fries, and they were alright. Not a lot of flavor here, but better when dipped in creamy garlic sauce. Walking in, we loved to see the menu on the big new screens. But it changes so fast to advertisements that you can't really read it. Then the counter girl should at least be able to tell us what PDQ sauce is like. Dirty tables everywhere. And the soda machine spit ice all over me, then soda too. So it's been a bit of a disaster. This was my first visit to PDQ. Based on my personal experience with this visit, I am somewhat surprised with all of the favorable reviews here on Yelp?? I really appreciate they have tried to create an atmosphere of quality and 'fine' fast food dining. Stainless steel prep surfaces in an open kitchen style and staff wearing crisp, white chef's coats. My first sensation upon entering the restaurant was the high ambient noise level. The dining room was mostly full of diners. Between table chatter, the lack of acoustic absorbing materials and a man on a microphone announcing orders ready for pick up, it was quite the audio spectacle. My ears were actually begging me for peace and quite after a very short time. I soon felt like I was in a robo-food eatery. All of that gleaming metal. The staff going about their business so methodically. There seemed to be way too many workers stuffed behind the counter, crowded in and banging about. Not a true inter-active, relaxing or personal experience for me. Now, for the food. I ordered the 'Handheld Thanksgiving' style Grilled Turkey Sandwich meal. Overall, it was decent with that hint of cranberrry. But, I felt the meat was just your run of the mill processed fare. It certainly did not remind me of any fresh carved turkey that I have ever had the pleasure to consume. My son ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal, with just mustard. His sandwich came with mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle and no mustard. He refused to take it back up and get what he had ordered. I don't blame him, as there was typically a line at the register and we didn't feel like waiting. The fries? Greasy, greasy, greasy! Points deducted immediately for the huge pile of grease leaking out of our fries. Nothing further to be said on these. My overall impression is mediocre, at best. About a year ago, I stopped eating at Chick-fil-a. PDQ fills my fried chicken sandwich cravings. I love the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. **Update 06/23/2018: Was contacted very shortly after writing my review- they said that the Operations Director would reach out to me to discuss our experience. Still waiting to hear. They don't set any limits with clientele! Ate here on 06/08 in the afternoon. A man and woman came in with a large black dog. The dog was leashed, but what we saw them do was nothing we had ever seen before in terms of animal etiquette for even service animals-- The couple were allowed to let the dog eat PDQ food from an open PDQ wrapper off the floor. It's one thing to allow service dogs- But the management allowing a dog to be fed PDQ food indoors from an open wrapper off the floor was disgusting. We have to think twice about returning to this location, because as good as the food is it for sure cannot be sanitary. The people should have been told to feed their dog elsewhere- even outside on the patio. If the manager wants to challenge the occurrence, check your video. read more

I go here at least twice a month or more. I not only eat but I do work there sometimes. I like it because of the big tables and the food. One of my favorite features, is the hand wash area outside of the bathrooms. I like this because of convenience. As a fan of authentic Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches I think they got close, maybe the closest to what I've had outside of Buffalo - but it still wasn't perfect. They toss the chicken in the sauce instead of treating it like another condiment. This is so important to achieving an authentic Buffalo Chicken experience. 2. The blueberry coleslaw was great. I love a stronger taste of each in a traditional Chicken Finger Sub, and combining them mutes them both. - The chicken is a little too thick. My son loves this place! It is always his first choice when we are grabbing a meal on the go. I personally am just not a huge fried chicken tender person but I do love their new spicy chicken nuggets and enjoy their Greek salad as well. I find the quality to be consistently good And the food is always hot and fresh. The only time that we had a tiny issue was when we first used the new app and ordered the food for pick up. They forgot to call our name for a bit and it was sitting in the locker. We have used the app several times since and never had an issue. PDQ is a hit or miss chain. This location is just okay, as the quality tends to fluctuate. The chicken is steadily on point. The fries have been served up pretty stale, and the salad was a mess. I will say the customer service is excellent. Every cashier I've encountered is very pleasant. The drive-thru line moves fast enough. Location-wise, there's a u-turn involved when I leave but it's pretty low key in the afternoon. While out looking for lunch the other day my sister and I decided to stop in and order some PDQ and I am so glad we did. After looking over the menu I ordered the crispy chicken tender salad with honey mustard and my sister ordered the 3 strip chicken tender meal with fries also with honey mustard. The food came out quickly and extra hot (and my salad was chilled just right). I liked how they had already cut up the chicken for my salad and placed it on top. It was a very good meal and the honey mustard was so tasty! My sister's meal was good too-I think their 3 strip meal is just enough to feed 1 person(possibly 2 depending on how hungry you are). The only complaint that we had was that the fries were a little wilted, but nonetheless we still enjoyed them and used the HM sauce as a great condiment to enhance the flavor. PDQ really does a great job with their customer service, efficiency, and food items. Next time I am home visiting I'll be sure to come back and try something else. read more

Mostly chicken based...good strips..good nuggets...good sandwiches...good salads. Shakes are superior and one is always seasonal (get the apple pie shake if they have it...comes with a large straw so the chunks of apple can be add with the scrumptious ice cream). Always quick service and very friendly. Two of the fancy soda dispensers. Also highly recommend everyone of their sauces, although order extra because they've reduced their container size (they are free). I consider PDQ the "answer" to Chick fil a. The food comes out hot and fresh...also tasty! I tried the fries which are thin, crispy and seasoned. I also had the nuggets which are white meat and cooked perfectly. I also tried the honey butter sandwich which is by far my favorite. Oh, and I love anyplace that has a coke freestyle machine! I had to knock off a star for two reasons. First the wait is way too long. While I appreciate the freshness of the food I'm not really sure I'd consider it to be fast food. I cannot say enough good things about this PDQ, or any of them for that matter, but this one in particular! My son has Autism, is an extremely picky eater, and PDQ is his favorite!! We eat there a lot. Jason, one of the managers, always makes us feel welcome, fist bumps with my son, in fact he even saved him a PDQ shirt one time. They are patient and compassionate with people with special needs. The food is fresh, fast, and delicious. They are always offering free samples and once our whole meal was free when their computers malfunctioned. Mike walks around and picks up trays, always with a kind word, and remembers our names.
