Drove 15 min to return two sliders and all they could muster was 'oops' (after I spent 5 min on hold because the person answering the phone 'didn't understand the register') and finally hung up and just drove back. This is THE BEST BURGER in the Portland Metro area. They should call their burgers Mary Poppins burgers because they're magical and "...practically perfect in every way." I had the Sellwood Burger. Burger, bun, and onions were grilled to perfection. Every bite was flavorful and a perfect blend of elements; butter lettuce, beef, bacon etc. Oh, and the fries are a must have. They're like McDonalds if McDonalds had flavor and herbs..ok, they're not like McDonalds. I ordered through DoorDash but I will be there in person after I get my Covid vaccine. There are both good and bad things about this place. Good: Lots of variety! I like that every burger comes in either a "regular" or "slider" size-even the veggie burgers. They give you a LOT of fries. One order could probably be split among up to 3 people. They also serve a very yummy Caesar salad, if you're looking for a lighter option. The best place in town for Sliders! I love how you can order two different sliders and fries and that's a good meal. The sliders give you a chance to taste multiple choices rather than just one kind. There's nothing for me to say that hasn't already been said. The sliders here are outstanding. From the bread to the beef patty, everything is cooked exactly how I would want it to be. Soft, toasted bun. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside patty. And toppings that were exploding with flavor. The fry's I could take or leave. They were on the salty side, and while delicious when they first came out, they lost their satisfying crunch rather quickly. It didn't bother me too much though...as I am not here for the fries. Disappointed to say I don't recommend eating hear during the pandemic at the least, but can't tell you if I'll come back at all seeing at least one person that I could see from the cash register In The kitchen was wearing their mask on their chin not covering anything and talking fairly loud don't want to say yelling but strongly over food that was being prepared. Probably one of the best burgers I've had. I don't really know how to describe how the sliders are so good, but everything is just right. Definitely worth checking out. The one problem I had was the wait and the fries. We came during lunch, and it wasn't that busy, but there was a long wait for the small amount of food we ordered, and two of the fries had not been cooked properly and were still somewhat frozen. They are somewhat picky eaters, but totally satisfied with the kids meal (basic burger slider with fries, milk and a treat), and my husband and I like the variety of tasty sandwiches on offer, so we all leave happy. Omg, what a juicy delicious yummy burger! So, I started my morning with a kale smoothie and I was trying to have a healthy day of eating and take a walk around the rhododendron garden. Well kale smoothies do not keep one full and I got the craving for a burger and found this spot. I thought to myself a slider would be perfect to help me feel like I didn't overdo it. It's located on the corner in a house, with plenty of outside seating. I went inside and was bummed that I was planning to drive more so I could not try a mango margarita. I ordered the Portland slider and pdx fries. The server gave me about 4 napkins as I was taking it to go. I thought that was a lot. But after I bit into the juicy little burger and it oozed cheese and meat sweat I totally understood that all of the napkins were needed! I am so surprised, I completely forgot to leave these guys a review. Although their Yelp page kinda speaks for itself, this place is an easy 5 stars. PDX Sliders is my favorite food cart of all time. They have some of the best burgers in the world. Literally. I've been to many places and they don't compare. I think their only true rival would be 8oz Burger over in Seattle. The reason this place is one of the best, is really simple. QUALITY. These guys use house ground patties that melt in your mouth, and are always cooked perfectly. Everything from their brioche buns to their Beecher's cheddar, is top notch. Not to mention the guys who run the truck are also some of the friendliest dudes ever. The food is really greasy but it makes up for the good burger I guess. The atmosphere is good and not stuffy. Staff is fairly decent attitude. Kinda awkward I just walked into someone's house that turned into a restaurant. Nice transition but it's not great walking up and down stairs into a front of a grandmas house. I went with 4 other people. I saw all their burgers just fall apart on them. I felt oily just watching my friends eat their burger to mine. Space is small that I just felt like saying excuse me so much getting around the place. The restroom is upstairs so go before you eat. Next time when a customer says their fries are cold from 3 feet away from a waiter you should really attend to them. I'll have to start off saying that this place is pretty darn good! The Sellwood is awesome!! It's was soooo juicy and full of flavor. I could of easily eaten about 4 of those. For being sliders they were actually pretty filling. I'd have to say however; that I am pretty disappointed with the Morrison, I believe it was. It was the grilled chicken with arugula and some type of pesto sauce on it. Not good at all, the chicken was lacking flavor and seemed a little under cooked. The sandwich itself was pretty dry too. The bun was a little harder than the one used on the Sellwood. Big difference! I won't ever order that one again, even my husband thought the same thing. The beef was for sure better than the grilled chicken. We also tried their frys and liked them! The guys who were working on the truck were very friendly, fast and full of energy. They were either related or really close friends, my guess is related. We actually got there time the truck opened and were able to snag seats on the benches right in front of the truck but it definitely started to fill up fast! We will return. There a few others I want to try!! Overall I really liked it, I'd still have to rate Killer Burger as my top burger place in PDX still. Though I haven't tried them all, it's #1 in my list and I've had quiet a few burgers around town. Super excited it's burger week!! read more

My fiancé and I are from out of state and are staying in Portland for a week. We were craving some good burgers for dinner and found this place on a whim on yelp, and are we SO glad we did! We both agreed that these were the best burgers we've ever had, hands down. My order - Sellwood slider and Marquam slider with an order of fries. The sellwood slider was out of this world. Beef was perfectly seasoned, aioli was just the right amount of savory, salty, and tangy, the cheese was amazingly smooth yet sharp. All together the perfect combination for an outstanding slider. Now, the Marquam. Salty, peppery, bold flavor. Aioli tasted a little different on this one. I could be wrong, but it complimented the corned beef perfectly. Sour kraut was perfect. Not too sour, just delicious. Great slider if you're wanting something other than beef. Overall, if I had to pick one, the Sellwood definitely takes the cake. The fries were great. Not the star of the show, but probably as good as fries can get. Very salty, but great flavor. Perfect addition to an order of sliders. My fiancé's order - Steel burger with an order of fries. The burger was great. For being just a standard burger, it's the best damn standard burger standard can get! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for some great burgers! Simply amazing! Between me and my wife we tried 4 different sliders and all of them were some of the best burgers/sandwiches I've ever had. The Sellwood and Hawthorne were my favorites. Every bite was overflowing with flavor. I recommend getting 1 as a snack or two if you want to make it a meal. We also ordered some truffle fries and they were extra crispy with just the right amount of spice and alot of fresh garlic. The staff was friendly and fast. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because there's not a warm, dry place to sit down and eat. You either have to eat in the cold & rain at a picnic table or take it to go. PDX sliders has been on my list to visit for some time, because Yelper friends found it. They make slider-sized-right-sized-right-priced sandwiches which don't skimp on flavor or quality of ingredients. I had the fried chicken on a ciabatta with a cabbage slaw and their house-made barbeque sauce. The chicken was bigger than the bun. It had a medium build breading with a black pepper flavor, but not salty. That might be good for those reducing salt - most fried chicken has tons (and we like that, personally) so Sliders lands on the low salt bland list. But the house-made barbeque sauce is not bland, it has vinegar and the sweet tomato brown flavors, not too thick, not too thin. The slaw was fresh, crunchy, just the right consistency of dressing and included purple cabbage. The ciabatta; it's one of those lovely crunchy artisan buns which needs a steam oven to make. Portland Sliders is mobile for catering too, with a spiffitronic bright red Grumman step van which could easily grace a neighborhood or event. Looking forward to trying their other sliders! read more
