Be warned, though, even their "slider" size sandwiches are pretty big. I opted for two sliders, one being a Philly cheesesteak, and the other being a pork with a Carolina mustard sauce. Both were well-prepared, large, and tasty, with the latter being thoughtfully fried before it is assembled into a sandwich. The portion size for the fries is quite generous, with one tray being sufficient to feed two normal humans. Beverage offerings are self-serve water, which seems curious with the given pandemic state, as well as lots of bottled options. I was really happy to see New York seltzer on offer, and I opted for a black cherry. This location in a small, old building, with a small dining area downstairs and another small dining room upstairs. I was a little shocked by how much the 20% tip was after I did it but thought ok I'll just text myself the receipt. after looking at it I see a new 10% service fee and a .50 fee for my order being to go. I look up at the counter don't see a sign at all. I feel like if your going to charge additional fees you should have a sign or at least tell the person before you go right to the tip screen. Wow! I was blown away. Wonderful and Amazing is how I would describe it! So I had been to the Division location a few times always yummy! So on this day we decided to try out the new location. I decide on the Guava Margarita, A house Special Slider, and the Fremont! It was pretty busy outside and I could see people were inside dining and enjoying every minute. I got a number and picked a spot. There was a nice empty spot right up front off to the side over looking the street to the entrance. Oh Yay! Now I can people watch too! Haha Our food came out fairly fast considering. It was hot and looked great ! My friend got the garlic Parmesan fries I think? Those were so good! Now for these sliders!!! These sliders were fantastic! I've had PDX Sliders bookmarked forever and my bestie who lives in Portland had raved about this spot. So when we told her we were visiting, we had to check out PDX Sliders as our first stop! My bestie let us know that PDX Sliders in the Westmoreland neighborhood was open for dine-in. Sweet! We came here right in time for prime lunch hour on a Saturday, and the place was soon busy. Fortunately for us, we were one of the first parties to arrive to grab a group table inside. By the time we left, we saw that people were waiting around for a table to open up. This place gets busy! And I can see why. You order the food at the counter and then pick a spot where they deliver your order to you. We ended up splitting a few sliders: the sellwood, the fremont, the broadway and the hawthorne. Truffle fries for the side/win. To wet our whistle we each got a margarita, as they have a handful of different flavors, in addition to beers and wines for your boozy meal. The food didn't take long to get and everything was delicious! The sliders were pretty hefty. I mean, I got full after two sliders. If you're cool with sharing, I recommend sharing a few sliders with friends to try different kinds because the menu has a lot to choose from. One of my friends ordered the special, which was the Nashville fried chicken, which I told myself I'd order after we were done with our initial sliders. And yeah, I was too stuffed. But damn it looked good! Of all the sliders, I actually liked the sellwood the best, which was the most simple of the sliders we ordered. It had bacon, Beecher's cheese, butter lettuce, caramelized onions and aioli. The mini patty was super juicy and flavorful. I was also surprised by the spice that came through from the broadway slider, which was comprised of pulled pork, peppers, spicy aioli and arugula on a ciabatta bun. I liked it way more than I thought I would. And also, truffle fries should be the default for all fries. If you don't like ketchup, they have plenty of different condiments to choose from. The only negative were the margaritas. I first ordered the guava strawberry margarita, mostly because I loooove guava, which is a flavor you don't often find. But sadly, the guava flavor did not come through at all. In fact, I only tasted strawberry. So it was weak sauce on the tequila too. I tried a mango margarita for the second round, which was better since I love mango. But it was light on the booze. Stick with a beer. But since you're really coming here for the sliders anyway, you'll have a lovely time here since the sliders are money. You can get a full size of any of the sliders or make any a salad. So I was excited, like super excited that I drove 52 minutes to try this place..I was unimpressed and slightly disappointed. My family and I tried a multiple of food items, which included... 1. Sellwood Burger; average, yet delicious. 2. Philly: as a full burger it lacked flavor and definitely needed more salt 3. Hawthorn; this is an absolute must. The strawberry jam and goat cheese were AMAZING! Would come back only for this burger. 4. Pork Belly; they have a special right now and it is a Korean inspired meat with pork belly. We are really making an effort to try as many local restaurants as possible for take-out right now, so while on a regular weekend "try out a new park" outing, we decided to pull over and call in something to PDX. We ordered and sat in the car waiting outside. The girl seemed pretty rushed on the phone, so not surprisingly we had one item wrong. But, the food was prepared fast and...other than ending up with 2 sliders instead of 1 slider and one regular sized...correctly. We both opted for beef Sellwoods, one without lettuce and the other without cheese or bacon. Luckily we decided on just one order of unsalted fries, because it was a load of fries. As for the fries, i found them flavorful even sans salt. My hubby loved his burger, even though smaller than he desired. I liked mine too, with only one caveat...although the aioli was tasty, it was quite watery which resulted in a mushy bun that started falling apart. My hubby's bun didn't though, so I'm assuming that it was because I'm a slower eater. Overall we really enjoyed the meal. Came here for my lunch break. First time at this location and it's pretty nice. Very homey. Downstairs was pretty busy but they had more room upstairs. They also have lots of space out back. Our food came out quick and was fresh and warm. I now forget exactly the names of my burgers but one was a Carolina pulled pork with slaw and the other was a beef Patty with garlic aioli and jalapeño on it. Both were really good. This place has been on my bookmarks since the first time I visited Portland a couple years ago, and I finally had the opportunity to try it out as I was passing through. I went to their Division location which has some street parking and also some neighborhood parking a little further away. I wanted to try a multitude of burgers so I ordered sliders instead of the normal size. SELLWOOD BURGER (slider $6; full size $12) - this is your typical classic burger and even for their classic burger there was so much flavor. The beef flavor is really prominent and I love the aioli. 4.5/5 HAWTHORNE (slider $6; full size $12) - the goat cheese gives the creaminess and the strawberry preserves give that sweetness. The beef and bacon would normally be really heavy but the tang of the goat cheese really stands up to them and gives a balance of flavors. There was a variety of flavors and really was delicious. I'd highly recommend this one! 5/5 TILIKUM (slider $6.50; full size $13) - the chicken is nice and crispy and it's like a BBQ chicken sandwich. I personally thought the beef sliders were better but if you prefer chicken this is a good choice. 3.5/5 PDX FRIES ($4.25) - the fries are nice and flavorful. They are thin and perfectly salted that I didn't even need ketchup. 4/5 The flavors in the burgers and even the fries on point and I totally understand the popularity of this place, even when they were just a food truck. Unlike the Division location, this one is inside an old, retrofitted house. Still has that classic four square look on the outside, but tables and chairs although the inside. My wife raves about this place, so I figured I'd give it a shot. We got in right before the dinner rush and orders 4 different sliders so that we could try an assortment to get the full experience. The Sellwood and the Portland were very "normal burger." The Hawthorne was a bit out there in my opinion. My wife loved it, but it wasn't my cup of jam. Speaking of jam, the Hawthorne does feature Strawberry preserves and goat cheese. If you're into that kind of thing, I'd give it a shot. The Tilikum was a chicken slider with chicken dipped in bbq sauce and slaw on top. I'm typically not a slaw fan, but this one was the best in my opinion. We just got an order of regular fries. They have loaded fries that came coming from the kitchen. Every time they went by, the regret that I felt in my heart for not getting them would grow. Anyway, if you a planning on not coming here because you're like, "Why would I want a mini burger?" I'm here to tell you, that they make 'em in the full size variety too, so now you have no excuse. PDX sliders has some of the juiciest burgers around! Voted best burger in PDX and top 5 burger in America, Portland is spoiled and privileged to have this in our midst. This time I got the fried chicken sando which I felt was a little dry but the delicious fries made up for it! I believe the are tossed in truffle oil with just the right amount of salt. The best thing about this place is that you can order regular sized burgers as well as sliders. Have eaten here three or four times now plus at the one on Division. Hands down my favorite burger in Portland. Service is always nice and the seating options are extensive and fun.
