Sam was great to deal with! He was kind, friendly, patient, and cheerful despite having to fight through rush hour traffic from Lago Vista to North Austin. He explained all the services relevant to me and particularly noted the clogged dryer vents he'd seen at other houses. Even though it was probably already past his regular work hours, he was still willing to add the dryer vent cleaning to my order. He searched the perimeter and roof to locate the vent and had to climb up there several times as the sun was setting. I'm neither knowledgeable nor experienced with houses and very much appreciated his enthusiasm and patience in showing me the clogged vent. He also noted my dryer vent was narrower than typical ones so it would need to be inspected more frequently. He showed me how to inspect and even clean it myself to save money. Sam also pulled out the heavy dryer, painstakingly reworked the dryer duct to a more direct path, pulled off the old duct tape, and attached the duct with the correct tape. Then he had to maneuver himself out of the tight spot needed to ease the duct into a straighter position. For the other work as well, he showed and explained the procedure and final results. Sam rocks! I would definitely recommend him to others. You can request technicians, too. Peace Frog has such a high level of customer satisfaction that its appointments are often booked several days in advance. If you need their services, try to book as early as possible and also pick the earliest appointment in the day. I had an awesome experience with these guys today! Shot out to the service tech CHAD, he's a super nice dude and did a great job! My dog likes to perch on the head cushion of a chair I recently bought (brand new btw), and within a short amount of time, she managed to stain her favorite spot on said chair and caused a lingering urine stench from constantly scooting on it (I know ). Since all of my living room furniture is brand new, figured I'd have it all cleaned at the same time and why not scotch guard it while I'm at it!? Since the 1st call, I've experienced nothing but great customer service and professionalism! I called Monday and they were out here today to complete the treatment! I found peace frog through Yelp (thanks helper yelpers) and their service is definitely 5 star. Jacob was very polite and attentive, showing me spots on the carpet using a blacklight where my dog seemed to favor. The urine smell is gone now thank God! My living room carpet looks practically new and I'm so glad we don't have to replace it. I asked for a quote on rug cleaning as well and they were very thoughtful about the care needed (synthetic vs wool, size, color leeching, etc) that they determined my best bet for protecting the rug would be to go with another company that provides a different cleaning method than they do. Wow! There was a technical difficulty with one of the hoses that wasn't really an inconvenience to me (plans for the day= lazy bum status) but they literally had a new van in the area within 20 min. and got the job done quick. I have always been somewhat leery of carpet cleaning firms because of the inevitable hard-sell. With Peace Frog, I got none of that and the carpets look outstanding. Jason was a great tech, and explained everything he was doing as he did it. He took the time and effort to address concerns with wood floors and really did an excellent job. Peace Frog was also really great on the front end. Everything to be done was explained both on the phone and in follow-up emails. Upon arrival, Jason was able to make an on-site adjustment to the quote that was much appreciated and ended up saving us money. He was also honest and up-front in the appraisal that some areas of the carpets were too badly stained to likely come perfectly clean (which I knew already). I wanted to get my carpets cleaned, so I turned to Yelp to help me find someone. Seeing the great number of positive reviews for Peace Frog, I figured they were worth a shot (and the cute name and logo didn't hurt either). They offered a great number of services, and I wasn't sure how it would work for my house so I scheduled one of their free in-home estimates. James came out, answered all of my questions, provided a breakdown of the various services, and I had a printed and detailed estimate before he left. James was a little schmoozy (only give the mugs to cool people? go on and butter me up...), but nothing was bad here. They are certainly trying to make the sale and earn business, and I can't blame them for that. Overall I felt everything was cheerful and professional. I reviewed the estimate, opted to not get a few things, then called to schedule the appointment. I will say that the Peace Frog folk are very responsive to communication, and work hard to be pro-active at ensuring you know what's going on, when, and so forth. I appreciate the high-level of communication. On the day of cleaning, our technicians, John & Sam came and handled everything quickly. I work from home, and they were sensitive to my work needs and worked to minimize disruption. Everything was done with an earnest smile. My wife and I were satisfied by the work done, and the customer service we received throughout the process. It's obvious Peace Frog works hard to make the sale, build their brand name, and build customer loyality. Not everyone may appreciate how they do things, but I get it. We just built a new home and wanted to keep the tile grout new looking for as long as possible, so we sent requests out for professional help. Not only was Peace Frog the most prompt at replying (som companies didn't bother to respond at all), but they squeezed us into their tight schedule with very little notice so that it didn't impact our move-in date. The technicians were prompt, courteous, and very detail oriented. They even pointed out irregularities with our tile work that can still be fixed under warranty. They worked hard, and our floors look fantastic! They also wore masks and used proper measures to ensure that both they, and we, stayed safe. The only time I used their service and they botched my driveway. The guy who pressure washed my driveway stripped the concrete and there is visible damage and discoloration. You would think since they are a professional company they would know to use the correct tools and the right amount of pressure. They were also unable to remove any soil stains. I talked with Sam and he was pretty useless with helping us, and instead kept insisting on sending the same technician who messed up our driveway. I always allow companies to fix their mistake but these people were weird. They didn't want to understand the issue. We moved into a brand new home about a year ago, and then we got a puppy... Well, needless to say our carpet needed a little refresher before our home started to smell like a dog and we started to become "nose blind" to it (thanks, Febreeze). Enter: Peace Frog! They were great to work with from the very beginning. I reached out for a quote via Yelp but ultimately ended up chatting with someone very helpful on the phone (I fail to remember her name, but she was super thorough). She gave me the full run-down of prices and details, along with all disclaimers/caveats/considerations UP FRONT, which I really appreciated since I always get roped into additional fees/taxes/surprises once I have both feet in. I managed to get my service scheduled within the week. Ben was my technician, and he was awesome! He was super sweet to our little pup who had created the need for this service in the first place, and he tended to everything in the house while I dog-wrangled outside in the backyard. He was super thorough from the time he walked into the house, checking on what should be moved/not moved and going over all services, to the time he walked out, having done a full walk-through with me and even giving me advice as to how to spot-remove stains (don't use baking soda, despite what the Interwebs tells you). Sam at Peace Frog got me all set up over the phone. He was super nice and the process went smoothly. Prices were way more affordable than I had imagined. Steve showed up to clean my couch and area rug on time. He gets HUGE bonus points for taking extra time to get previously mentioned, very skittish Great Dane to warm up to him and feel comfortable with him moving around our small efficiency. After my bad experience, the office manager called me and told me that they would not fix the carpet they messed up, despite saying they would on here and over the phone because of my yelp review. She actually said that. I'm no Yelp expert, but that seems like it should be against some guideline. If I hadn't been honest about my experience on here, my carpet would have been fixed by Peace Frog. When I reminded her about the 200% guarantee prominently displayed on their website, she said I needed to make an appointment with another cleaner and someone from peace frog would discuss the damage with the new company. In other words, I needed to jump through a bunch of hoops and take more of my time to get them to honor their guarantee and fix the carpet that they made stink. Still, I wanted it fixed so made an appointment with a new company. And I tried calling peace frog back to tell them when the appointment with the new cleaner was, but they conveniently did not answer or return my calls. Then, the owner showed up at my house with a refund check without any warning or prior notice. I was alone with two small kids asleep in the house and having this angry guy just appear at my door (He was also upset also about my yelp review) was startling. He seemed to think the refund, while genuinely appreciated, would finish things, but they don't just advertise a refund, they say 200%, and my carpet was still stinking, so I told him when my appointment with the new cleaner was. While standing on my doorstep, he refused to come in and look at (or more importantly smell) the damaged carpet just a few feet away. When I asked if he would pay for someone else to fix it, as the office manager suggested, he told me no, adding that if I had a problem with that answer, I could write about it on Yelp. Very clever, very unprofessional. But a helpful suggestion none the less. So now I am. My experience indicated that Peace Frog's "200% Peace of Mind Promise," if it actually exists, could use an Astrix by it saying something like *"only if you promise to not talk about how we screwed up on Yelp." In the end, I was left worse off than when I started, having to fix a problem that didn't exist before they came to my house. The only upside is that this experience led me to another carpet cleaner in town that does reasonably priced, quality work. read more

P.S. Only when the service technician refused to deliver the service as promised by the owner MOMENTS before, did I slam the door, and yes, emphatically! When a company LIES and CHANGES PRICING at the last minute, such a response is merited. Today Peace Frog gets a #FAIL, and with good reason! No longer a good company in my view. 3rd cleaning with them... This time they tried to switch pricing on me at the door for the area rug over the carpet. My home is just 1294 sq ft. Their price $280. As always I requested (not demanded) that they clean the Olefin rug on top of the carpet, NOT the carpet underneath. The prior technicians did this happily and without question. This time they suddenly decided that would be $100 extra. No extra space to be cleaned so why charge an additional fee! Such IRRATIONAL INFLEXIBILITY and PRICE SWITCHING is a dreadful business practice. I'll use another company from now on. The online review, as you can see, was not threat; rather it was a promise. Had your guy just done things exactly as they had been done twice before, it would have been a positive review. You chose a negative review instead over a 100 sq. ft. rug. read more

Great service! Very professional and timely! Here's where the buzz kill happens... The service Matt was using to answer phones at the time was also doing quotes and the young girl quoted me a price that included carpet stretching. I compared the price to another shop and even though they were close, I went with Matt because I didn't have to wait for a call back with a quote. Matt did the work but not the carpet stretching. I was told that stretching wasn't part of the job and that a third party would need to be called out to do the work. So, NOW the price wasn't even with the competitor's quote, it was going to be about $180 more. I took my concern up with Matt who made a fair offer to help cover some of the cost of the carpet stretch, but my budget had already been strained for the cleaning by itself and I was expecting the stretching to be included. It ended up that I couldn't come up with the additional money to stretch the carpet, so now I've got a half done job. Moral of this story? Alway ask the worker to verify WHAT they will be doing and the expected TOTAL. If either one of those numbers don't match what you were quoted, then send them back to the drawing board. And if you are a business, the moral is "Make sure you review the quote with both your estimator and your customer (the person who you've been in contact with) to make sure neither are throwing you under the bus when it's time to get yer YELP review. ***UPDATE*** Matthew has GREAT follow up and really does what he can to make sure his customers are happy. I understand that he has taken measures to insure his answering service doesn't produce miscalculated quotes and that shows how much effort he puts into building and perfecting his business. Most professional company I've dealt with in a while. They are great about getting back to you, great with communication, and are there when they say they will be. Our technician was Jason and he was friendly and polite and worked so hard on our old carpet and dirty tile! The job took hours and he offered to come on Saturday if the job took too long (I had a dinner party I was hosting that night...busy day. Terrible planning on my part. But the job got done and the party was great!) The tile grout is night and day difference. I added that on later and I am so glad I did (there was a special for getting two services done on the same visit). I mainly called them for our carpet to try to get out some stains that were in the carpet when we bought the house. Unfortunately, these stains did not come out, but it was not for lack of trying (old pet stains and highlighter). He did let me know about a repair service PFC has and we may call about that. Or we may rip out all of the carpet and replace it. I hate carpet. He even tried to get out a stain I thought we had that turned out to be a shadow! :) Sorry, Jason! Ahem. Now the carpet there is very clean! We also used the free dryer vent inspection and I imagine we'll be calling them back when it's time to clean that out. In short, I think if these guys can't get out a carpet stain, nobody can. Everyone is extremely polite and courteous. They obviously really care about customer satisfaction. So the story begins with my boyfriend and me staying with a friend while we are in between leases. Our friend has been gracious enough to provide us and our very well behaved house broken dog a roof over our heads, while we look for a new home. Had these folks clean my microfiber couch. The couch was 8 years old and had never been cleaned. I for sure had some miles on it. The cleaning was a gift from my fiance who was concerned about the couch karma. This was understandable. The technician arrived on time. He was polite and courteous and explained the whole process. I have had the pleasure meeting Matt twice. The first time he came all the way out to Pflugerville to see if he could clean my leather couch.
