I love this new location, it is so convenient. It's on my way to work and people are friendly. I go to this location regularly and they always make the drinks right. Until yesterday, I ordered a hot matcha latte with soy milk. I saw the barista poured soy into the container. However, when I started drinking the latte at work, my soy latte had a very strong milky after taste. I know the fact, the barista used soy milk, so I ruled out the fact that they used the wrong milk. And then I realized that the barista was using the same container to stream regular and soy milk. He didn't rinse the container properly from the previous drink before he streamed the soy milk. So there was a cross contamination. I'm slightly lactose intolerance. Luckily, I didn't get sick but I did had bloated feeling after. If imagine, a person who is lactose intolerance and had a cross contamination milky soy milk drink . They would get really sick. Hopefully, Peets will train their staffs properly how to rinse the milk containers. Also, hopefully, no more milky soy milk flavor drink next time. read more

We originally intended on checking out the new California Fish Grill, when we saw a soft opening celebration for Peet's next door. They were offering free drinks and pastries from 9AM to 2PM this past Saturday (1/20). An employee told me they were officially opening on Monday. This is the nicest Peet's location I've ever visited. Bright, roomy, and tastefully decorated. We were told our free drinks would be a 30-minute wait, but we only ended up waiting for 15. While waiting we got to try samples of different limited edition blends. I ordered a Green Tea Mojito tea infusion, and thankfully it was not too sweet. Just the right amount of tartness from the lemonade they add in. Another great addition to the Serramonte plaza. I'll be back to try other drinks! read more

Don't go here unless you really need a coffee fix. I wanted a simple white mocha or a chai tea hot. Poor service. Too busy to help or answer a quick question attitude. I asked if they had chai tea counter person said wait then left to do other things. I am not happy with this location. There was a short line of 3 people behind me. You'll need your cup of coffee after the frustration of trying to find parking at this location. Very ideally located by lots of shops, I enjoy having a warm drink while doing my shopping. The cashier, I believe her name was Amanda, was exceptional. Unusual ambience however, it's extremely quiet so I wouldn't recommend going to this location as a "hang out", rather just a study spot, it's so quiet you could hear every paper rustling. The smell is lovely, location is very clean, staff is attentive, drinks are delicious, and the pastry's are to die for at very reasonable prices. read more

Goes over to make my beans, but a man (notice a pattern here?) walks in and says he wants beans. But I thought she was already making mine. My goto place for good strong coffee. During pandemic, it's hard to gauge how to order your coffee; online or in person. Sometimes they're fast, sometimes they're backed up so you'll never know if you'll get your coffee hot or cold. I sure jipped today! After picking up my mobile order it was only 3/4 full of coffee. Love this new Peet's in DC. I didn't realize we didn't have one in DC until this opened. Fresh coffee, and good service. I ordered a carafe of coffee one time, and they were on time when I picked up at 6am with all the sides stuff, sugar, milk, etc. I had thought that they would at lease offer me a free cup of coffee on the road since I ordered the carafe, but they didn't. Your barista Ryan told me he made me a Large almond Latte, he said it's large but he gave me medium. I asked him again and he said YES. He's a Liar. He thinks I'm stupid? I started coming to this Peet's location about a year ago, usually on Sunday afternoons. The staff appears friendly and the lattes taste great, so this has been my go-to coffee location. I stopped by this Monday morning and ordered my usual because I'm in the area. After I paid for my order and the cashier gave me my scone, I noticed that my scone was not warmed up so I asked her to warm it up for me, but she said that can't be done because my scone has frosting and "it is the policy" that they don't warm up items with frostings. That's my first time hearing such policy anywhere, but ok. After I picked up my coffee, I asked another lady if my scone can be warmed up just a tiny bit, so it is not cold and hard. The lady said the same thing and then referred me to the "head" and he said the same. I was not challenging them if they know their bogus made-up policy or not, but it would be nice to act like they care and offered an alternative that could be warmed up, or a simple "I'm sorry" instead of a flat out "no, it is the policy". What kind of policy is that anyway? What would the problem be if they warm up something with frosting? Maybe nothing, just wanted to be difficult. So, I just put the scone in my microwave for 10 seconds and warmed it up myself. I'll still give this location a four-star, all because of the friendly staff on Sunday afternoons. read more

I have to give the workers that were working at 8:30 am on Friday 4/3/20 5 stars.... I would give them more if I could. First of all they are staying open during the crisis. On top of that... there was a situation where there was a line of 6 plus people forming when a man comes to pick up his order of over 20 drinks. Not only does he put these guys out but he then brings the manager out to complain for what seemed like over 5 minutes about how each drink wasn't labeled. It wasn't reasonable of this customer to expect that during each one of his drinks would get labeled during a high traffic time. And if this customer cared so much... he needs to get out a pen himself and mark it as the people are giving them to him. This customer was being super inconsiderate and the management kept his cool during the whole time... although I think it wouldn't have been rude if he cut the guy off and asked him to leave... there wasn't going to be a way to solve it unless they remade each drink and then labeled it... which would have been ridiculous. The workers were also level headed and tried to keep the line going as best as they could even though the guy was taking the attention away from one their staff. I left a $20 tip!!! You guys deserved it after dealing with that nonsense. read more

The best almond milk latte I've had in SF and Daly City. Yes, better than Blue Bottle, Ritual, and Starbucks. I was surprised to discover an almond milk latte that actual tastes good! I keep coming back because drinking an almond milk latte from Peet's feels good. (I've drank so many almond milk lattes and thought to myself, "It's good for me even though it doesn't taste good.") The staff is so nice, especially when I order my complicated drink! I ordered an iced chai tea latte with half iced coffee and half coconut milk, instead of full milk. Surprisingly the male cashier was interested in my drink rather than judging me or getting annoyed with how complicated it was. The coffee is always great, and the espresso shots never taste expired. First time here Seemed comfortable with the pillows and everything. Took them awhile to make my drink. Probably some are still training, but it took them about 20 minutes to make my drink when it was not busy. While i was waiting, there was a corner table that was really messy. No one came to clean it after about 40min-1hr since i was there. There was this woman at the register area who organizes the bread and everything, but i never see her wash her hands. When i went there, a guy with green hair is very enthusiastic. Good job. He clearly knows how to handle with customers. The woman at the register wasnt really trying. All i saw her do is walk around with a broom and dust pan, and sweep areas that were already clean. I love peets coffee, but this place was a disappointment. read more

I'm usually skeptical about visiting new stores but I work nearby so I've been making frequent visits to this establishment. I love the ambience and the friendly workers. This time around I ordered my usual iced mocha with almond milk and whipped cream, which always tastes great. The downside of this visit is my fault bc I happened to spill my ENTIRE drink all over the straw counter. I gasped and tried to clean it until a manager or supervisor I assume(wish I got his name) ran by QUICK and kindly reassured me to not worry about the mess. He and his staff were right by my side with towels and a mop. They were even so kind to ask, "can we please make you a new one?" To which I exclaimed, " yes that'd be great!" I know it's normal store protocol to make new drinks if a guest doesn't enjoy it or drops it in plain sight, but the way the staff handled this situation was beyond what I would've expected. The manager/supervisor even managed to make a joke out of the situation to make me feel better. I work in restaurant so I know how spills and messes can sometimes be annoying, but the great staff made light of the whole situation :) I'll definitely be here again soon!
