I prefer Peet's coffee because it tastes better than what I can make but I gotta tell you about their tea. It's wonderful. The leaves are curled in tight little balls and once you pop them in the water the leaves uncurl and its wonderful to watch. We had good weather then bad then good so my mood was like that too. Last week when it was raining and gloomy I took myself to PEET's and just sat there sipping my tea, reading my newspaper and I was happy again. The store is clean and not crammed, not as busy and noisy as most other PEET's or Starbucks. I live here in town and will make it a weekly habit to come and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Oh, the staff are cute and friendly. Try their scones, awesome!!!! read more

I realize now that it was simply outrageous of me to drop by unannounced and politely ask for a pound of your Colombian coffee. Looking back I feel ashamed for using such inflammatory words as "hi," "please" and "thanks." It was quite right of you to look at me with the utter contempt I deserved for such devilish behavior. Best cup of joe in town, and probably the bay area in whole. I'm a dark roast kinda guy, and that's what Peet's does better than anyone else. Service at this location is great and even when it's busy they do their best to keep the line moving while being pleasant and cheerful to all the customers! I've tried a lot of drinks here, from the frappes, to their house coffee, to their chai lattes. I have to say their house coffee beats Starbucks's (not hard to though), and their frappes are amazing on a hot day. Their chai tea is a little bit too sweet, but in genearl still really good. Not overly crowded. Got a good parking spot and a good table spot. They let me reuse my cup from the drink I got at Peet's yesterday which makes me feel less bad about buying coffee out instead of making at home. I love their chai, tastes like a gingersnap cookie. read more

She kept staring at me the entire time, and it made me feel very uncomfortable. It honestly felt like seeing a father out alone with his young daughter was somehow unusual to her. To make matters worse, they handed me the drinks and the snack separately without even offering a bag. I was carrying my daughter in one arm, and it never occurred to anyone that a bag would make things much easier. The only reason I'm not giving this place 0 stars is because that's not an option.
