Dear this location. Why are you the slowest Peat's around. Staff is friendly but it's quite a wait for a cup of coffee. Also, when are you going to clean your sugar dispensers? Gross. Although I used to love Peet's --especially this location in Emeryville, I was recently turned off by their new tea selections. I love Peet's English Breakfast Tea. But I just learned that Peet's discontinued its own tea selections and is now selling Mighty Leaf Tea, which I can get from anywhere. I can go to Safeway and get Mighty Leaf Tea for cheaper prices. Peet's Teas had deep, rich flavors that Mighty Leaf Tea lacks. Without Peet's original tea selections, I will be visiting Star Bucks more often. I am giving three stars because I still like this store in Emeryville -- I just won't go there as often. read more

Whatever they've got in their espresso beans was some damn good sh*t. I got a non-fat white mocha here a couple of weeks ago and their coffee had me buzzing for a few hours after I finished it. I'm one that doesn't do well with coffee, but it perked me up without giving me the caffeine jitters. The only Peet's location currently with individual single cup pour overs! They grind one cup worth of beans and make your cup fresh from any of their larger than normal store bean selection. At $2 for a medium, it's a deal. I'm glad they're catching on to what Blue Bottle and other have been doing for years, although Peet's version doesn't taste nearly as good as Blue Bottle and aren't' even in striking range of Philz. Yeesh. Has it already been 10 freaking years since my first review? To the haters of this location, you're a bunch of whiny babies. The baristas and the staff on average are okay. Some are even nice. The coffee is decent. They have good seating if you're "working" on your shiny little laptops with the Apple logo. Remember, the staff here are probably not making as much money as you are, and they don't deserve to be patronized or looked down upon. I'm not going to talk about the coffee since it's about the same as any other Peet's. It always smells so good! Also, there is a ton of seating here and it's very spacious. I really like the location and spacious layout and decor of the Emeryville Public Market Peet's, but I've always had problems logging onto and/or staying on-line on their Wi-Fi. Please consider upgrading or fine-tuning the WiFi! It's been the flakiest out of all the Peet's I've been to! Otherwise a terrific place for a cup o' Peet's cofffee. I love this Peets only once did my white mocha come out as mocha which got fixed no problem. I work in the shopping center so I come here pretty much everyday sometimes multiple times a day. The staff is so nice and I never spend a crazy amount of time getting a drink, which is nice when your breaks are only 10 minutes long. Thanks emeryville peets for being awesome! read more

I like this place. I like it so much I stop by on my way to work every morning and have a medium brewed coffee and a pumpkin ginger muffin (low fat, thank you very much). I sometimes even stop by on the weekend. The staff, many of who know me by name, recognize me when I come in. That makes me feel good, especially early in the morning. I am only giving a 2 star rating because of how "slow" the service is. I loved going to this location but lately it takes forever to get drinks done. I had to walk out and go elsewhere a few times because the wait was just ridiculous. Now, I don't bother anymore, I just go to a different coffee store. It's disappointing! I've been drinking Peet's coffee since there was only one and Mr. Peet was there, late 1960s. I've been a regular at the Emeryville location for a while. The people who work here are great - friendly, helpful. The coffee is good - strong with a lot of body, altho they have variations for people who don't want it strong. They also have matcha (green tea) lattes, good chai, mocha, hot chocolate, and syrups if you want your coffee in disguise. The pastries are excellent - croissants, scones, muffins, cookies - and they now have a small selection of hot sandwiches - altho you can buy food in one of the shops in the Market Hall and eat it in Peet's. HOWEVER they just redecorated. It looks cute. If you just came to chat with a friend for 15 min. it's fine. But they got rid of most tables - it's just sofas and little side tables. So if you came to do homework, to grade homework, to work on your business plan, or to write the great American novel, there's no place to put your stuff. Well, there's a long table with a few uncomfortable stools but you probably won't want to be there long enough to get your work done. I'm looking for a new wifi-cafe to hang out read more

Cute place but the barista was really confused and unable to do what I consider a fairly simple order. I ordered a large black coffee with 2-3 ice cubs to help cool it down. He gave me a large cup of coffee that was only half full and a large cup of ice on the side. I threw out the rest of the ice and just drank the coffee until I got to an inch of coffee left then it had grounds in it. read more

Yes- the high ceilings, the long couch on the left and of all things- the custom-single-pour-coffee for that reasonable price?! All wonderful to us strong, black coffee enthusiasts. A word to the high-fructose corn syrup crowd: do continue onto Starbucks for that eleven dollar beverage with thirty separate ingredients. i really don't do the Yelp thing unless i have to,Today was my first time at this location. The service was fast and the cashiers were wonderful. I don't know, if this person was management or not, But I order a Strawberry Tart and a Large Vanilla Latte. Yes! I picked a pace off the tart and notice that it was still cold. I starting to walk back to the cashier and i notice that this person behind the counter was looking me and way that i felt very unwanted in the store. I then asked if i can get the tart warmed up a little more and i was told that since i took it i couldn't get it warmed up. Then my coffee was sitting on the counter and before i touched it, i asked if it was mine and i was told "is that what you order". SMH!! I don't understand why they were so rude to me, i don't want to say it was because of my skin color, but that was how i felt. read more

So as a tea drinker I was excited to try the Jasmine Lime Iced Tea for the first time from this particular Peet's. There's definitely a strong jasmine tea flavor paired with sweet refreshing lime. Very delightful for a a summer day. Huge bean bar if you're a coffee brewer. read more

I believe this is the right location as it seems there is more than one Peet's in the Emeryville Shopping District. This is my favorite Peet's. I had a really good experience when I went into it. The barista was really friendly and took me over the custom coffee station to make me a cup of really good Kenya. You can't get that at Starbuck's, people! There is plenty of seating and the vibe in there is just chilled, unlike other Peet's where folks seem all uptight and pretentious. I just left right now from peets and I left very upset. My friend asked the old lady at the register what do you call the Vietnamese style coffee they have. Instead of her just telling us which one it is right off the bat, she's like well "which one is it that you want? Black Tie or cold brew?" With the most appalling attitude. I own a business and I know with whatever is going on with your life, you come to work and don't give your customers an attitude for no apparent reason, or talk to me like I am an imbecile. And the nerve of her roll her eyes. I have empathy for customer service and this has no exaggeration which makes me upset because I know how important it is to make your customers happy in a business, and not make them feel upset leaving. It's okay. Typical coffee chain feel/look/service to it. The benefit is getting to leave the train station, which is right over the train tracks from Peet's. Just walk over the bridge.
