The staff is young, upbeat and fun. They are always friendly and patient as I hem and haw over my order. They have great outdoor seating and an awesome coffee shop atmosphere inside. However I do not like their coffee. It always tastes burnt to me- but I've had it so many times I think that is just how it tastes, and so many people seem to love it, so I think it's just a preference. Not actually anything wrong with it. Sadly I think I'm partial to Starbucks. I DO love their tea coolers they have this time of year. Also their freddos are yummy, and when I'm feeling sentimental the hot chocolate is delicious. They have a great Pastry case with delicious fatty things. Their muffins are the best. WAY better than Starbucks. Can get crazy busy on a Sunday morning, but I'm not complain about a wait when I walk in and see a line to the door and choose to stay. They make a nice cappuccino here. We shared a focaccia bread, spinach, and egg sandwich and it was 'ok'.

Nice people work here BUT they don't have any plug outlets. Not cool when your cell is dying.

I make it a point to get to this Peet's Coffee once a week and would go daily if I lived closer. The staff is consistently top-rate with their customer service, friendliness and attention to delivering an amazing latte every time. I also appreciate that I can always find a parking space in the parking garage next door. This is NOT the case at their Bridgeport Village location so I've stopped going to that one altogether. I come here often because it has all the right ingredients: welcoming staff, loose leaf tea, good vegan pastries that aren't expensive, music that doesn't drown conversation. You can walk down to view the lake afterwards and on Sat mornings the farmer's market is a few steps down the street. This peets sucks. The workers barely pay attention to the customers. And the barista just got my order wrong just because they got a tiny but busy. Get it together! I've been to Peets all over the west coast and this is probably the worst one i've been to. The one at Bridgeport does a much better job. read more

The best thing I can say about this coffee shop is that they have Nikole behind the counter. She is a ray of sunshine. She is friendly, professional, and knows exactly what she's doing. Plus her smile is all you need to make your coffee taste sweet. They should hang onto her before someone steals her away. read more

I'm a regular here and the Chai Latte w/Almond Milk is my drink of choice. Always made very well. The service here is hit or miss. Sometimes super friendly and other times it seems the team is stressed out. That's when you realize every business, even the coffee biz, must have some residual stress. It is a busy place located in a wealthy suburb so maybe that attributes to the uninviting feeling at times. I do think this particular location has some of the best baked treats among all of its competitors. I hope to feel more welcome in the future so I can give this location 5-stars. Hopefully my smile will be more contagious in the weeks ahead. read more

I am well beyond the age when it matters whether people like me or not, but respect is something else. A deliberate insult delivered by a barista who has no idea who I am, and who delivers it with a cunning smile, when all I am doing is trying to engage in friendly conversation, crosses the boundary. If I want bad attitude, there are any number of coffee houses in the Portland area that I can frequent: I don't expect it, however, from Peet's. That said, the customer service in this store, but for one, is excellent. read more

This particular coffee shop is the best for me. I travel many different places in the world every month, but never found such a place having a perfect combination of wonderful staffs, excellent coffee, friendly atmosphere and beautiful neighbor. Their latte is something special I can not enjoy at other Peets. You should stop by here for relaxing for a moment, which pays off. read more

Good coffee and LO farmers market is fun. Peets is very noisy, and we found the staff loudly gossiping or calling out drinks, which added to the less than relaxing environment. Staff person went around cleaning and would drag chairs, adding to the noise. read more

I typically stop at the Starbucks down the street but thought i would try Peet's. I am an early morning person and arrived (now on 3 occasions) at around 6am. The coffee is fine but the service is marginal at best. Never have i received a "thank you" from any service provider in the shop. I expect little and that is exactly what you get. If you are a regular you receive the niceties but no acknowledgement if you are a newbie. So, back to Starbucks i go. read more

Nice place, typically very good service by young and pleasant employees. No grousing about early morning. Just smiles and personal acknowledgement. The ONLY rub I have is they open at 6am and that is late for a coffee shop. When I am in a hurry and early I have to go to Starbucks...yack. If they move the open time to 530am they would have a much larger crowd as Starbucks is packed at that time and i am confident many of those folks would move a block down the street. read more

Only two stars for Peets L. O. today. Oatmeal made so badly it looked like clumps floating in a water bath. Had to ask for a remake from a different Peets person. Also first server assumed a huge cup size for tea and put both bags in it. She appeared to be more interested in friending the room than in doing the work. Peets demands $1.25 to make oatmeal with milk instead of water. This has been my first negative experience with Peets since the 1980s. Rack it up to poor hiring judgement. read more
