MY favorite place for fresh GOOD coffee. I like that most employees know me by name are are all very friendly.

Typically I am a Peet's fan..... but why... oh why!! Did you not give me soy?!??! I ordered a Soy White Mocha... to which i got a non-soy white mocha... and boy did I find out the hard way. Please pay more attention to requests like soy. Some people cant take milk very well. read more

I was the only person in the store and the barista took forever to make my drink. Her and the other employees were complaining about their 8 1/2 hour shift. I'm sorry but 8 hours is not something they should complain about. It nearly too 10 mins to get my drink :( read more

I was surprised to see the reviews aren't so good. I have been to this Peet's several times and service and coffee is always great!

I enjoy Peet's coffee, bolder coffee and better priced than Starbucks. But, after getting an iced coffee this morning at this location, I probably won't be going back to this one. When ordering my iced coffee I asked for non-fat milk... After ordering the barista rudely says, "Just for future reference, there's a condiment bar with milk and sugar over there. I don't mind doing it, but others might," as if this is my first time visiting Peet's. Sorry to put you out, Barista, but some Peet's only put out Half-and-Half, and I end up asking for non-fat from the barista anyway! You have a thing or two to learn about customer service! read more

Love the roasted beans here. Coffee done right. I love a deep roast and make my own blend. The staff here always get it right. They also make a great pulled espresso. If you're not sure about what to drink or what beans might brew your type of joe they've got the knowledge to help. Places to sit can be scare at times so come early or after ten if you wanna kick. read more

The guy who waited on me in here today was nice and did a great job. I went in for a gift card for my sis-in-law and ended up with some tea too. Winter solstice tea just delicious and smelled like holidays. Oh and they have simple syrup on the condiment bar. Not sure what you'd put it in, I don't think they make old fashioneds in there, but for what it's worth, they have it. Pretty sure I saw a "free wi-fi" sign on the door. read more

The guy at the register was welcoming and such a cheerful employee. That was a nice surprise. I used my $1 off coupon for checking in to order a chai latte. There's a passcode for the restroom, which the guy at the register gave me. While I was waiting, another employee who was working on the floor asked me if I needed the passcode. I told her that someone is inside and the guy who took my order already gave it to me. But it was nice of her to check up on me and kindly ask. Not sure why some reviewer do not like this place but I come here at least twice a month for ground beans and get a drink while I am there. The staff is so very friendly every time. The ground beans to go for make at home coffee is the bomb (French Roast). Even my expresso drink to go is always great. I used to go to the competition and got the jitters from their coffee. Peets does coffee right. Parking can be an issue when it gets close to lunch or dinner so I go in the am. read more

I really love Peet's coffee. I have loved it for year's since way before they expanded. This particular Peet's is also great. My running group meets there often and have a coffee afterwards. I have never had a bad cup of coffee and I like this nice large size of the cafe. This place is always busseling and busy, but not ridiculous crowded. They are quick with getting drinks and occasionally I have an odd request after a long run and they are very accommodating. If you like yummy coffee, a nice atmosphere and friendly service, then this is a great place for you to check out. read more

Its funny I worked at Starbucks for 3+ years and was always more of a Peet's fan. Even though Starbucks is more convient and yes I still go there, I enjoy Peet's coffee and flavor a lot more. I live about a mile away from here so I usually only go on Saturday/Sunday mornings so I can walk there and get my coffee treat. I love their sugar free vanilla syrup so much more then Starbucks and their iced coffee isnt watered down. Peppermint mochas are my vice right now with the holidays around...I hear this sea salt caramel drink is good because everytime I go their sold out. read more

My favorite coffee shop in town! Yes I know it's not small town coffee shop but I love the coffee and the service I get here. Majority of the time the staff is quick getting the coffee order out verse many other shops. Conveniently located in downtown you can't be this place in the morning while on a stroll or headed out for errands. read more

How much do I love Peet's? A whole fat bunch. I'm a straight up Peetnick, and although I no longer have time to sit (at my favorite spot at the big window) and enjoy my coffee on site, I pick up a pound of freshly ground Colombian weekly. The people who work there are alway warm and friendly, and typically the line moves quickly. When I have a prepared drink like a latte or a cappuccino, they're always perfect and delicious, and I generally prefer them over Starbucks. I reserved one star because they can sometimes be busy and the place isn't as tidy as I would like. My favorite place to go for (as a dear friend would say) hot goodness. read more

I love Peet's; so much better than Starbucks. The quality of the espresso is world's above the other guys. I really love the decor and color scheme. The deep, rich browns and references to primitive cultural art (African kuba cloths, Maori tattoo designs, etc) really evoke the spirit of the place. This is Berkley hippie culture made for the modern world. This particular Peet's location has everything you could want except... parking. Honestly I can't imagine how much better business here would be if one could easily park nearby. But this is a pervasive issue for downtown so it's true of all the nearby establishments. I guess the best compliment I could pay this joint is that there used to be a Starbucks one block away near the theater that rolled up shop a few years ago. But Peet's? Still pulling shots and serving up coffee for coffee lovers! read more

First of all, I'm giving this location two stars not because of the taste of the coffee but because of my experiences. Peets coffee, hands down has great coffee but until recently many of their store locations lack good customer service. Today I went in and they had five people working behind the counter and only one person worked the register. A few minutes later the line got pretty long and if it weren't the customer calling out to a guy named Billy who was counting supplies we'd probably be waiting for a while. Nonetheless, I ordered two pumpkin spice lattes (one iced and one cold). The girl who rang me up entered the order but when she made my drinks it was wrong. I received lattes without the pumpkin spice. This is the third time that I've been here and various baristas have messed up on my order. I live in Livermore which is convenient for me to come to this location but I'd have to say that going forward the one off of Tassajara will start getting my business instead. If you are a person of color I do not recommend coming to this location. I purchased $30 worth of items and while waiting in line I asked for the bathroom code. I said excuse me 3 or 4 times and nobody even looked at me. After I said excuse me again, the lady making coffee snapped at me and said "he just told you" pointing to a man on the other side of the counter whom I wasn't talking to nor looking at. Sooo, love peets but I have to yelp them. Normally I'd give them 4 or 5 stars, but not today or the last week or two weeks ago have they gotten my drink or girlfriends order right. I love when they make my soy vanilla latte, extra foamy, it's heaven. But then, there are a couple of excellent baristas there, the blonde Casey is fabulous. I don't think its right to yelp a place you work at, but whatever. On the other hand when I order a soy vanilla freddo its either icy or watery or with regular milk. I think that the red head man and the brunette man need more training.... I think I seriously mighy die or at least explode when given regular milk, & very little coffee/espresso, like today. Service is great ! Ann is awesome !! Coffee is o.k. although they could not get the "grind" right for my reusable K-Cup filter for my Keurig coffee maker even after I descaled it. A little pricey. I never have a problem with Starbucks..................ground right every time. Just to clarify, Liz ground it to a #12 and a #13 and it still slowly dripped out of my Keurig at a snails pace and only gave me half a cup when it was finally finished. I visited from out of town a few weeks ago and came to Peet's for an iced tea and ended up leaving one of my shopping bags behind, thankfully the manager placed my bag in the back. Since I live almost 2 hours away I wasn't planning to go back to Livermore for a while and the manager was so very kind and generous to ship my bag to me! Very crowded on Sat morning which is expected, though line moved quite fast for order. Waited almost 20 mins before I grab my drink which is a bit longer than expected. Latte wasn't as strong as I would like but didn't want to wait longer so just took it. Tables were definitely not clean, we stayed about 1hour and didn't see anyone wrap or clean at all. read more

Love there Black Tie ice coffee drink. It's creamy Vanek a like cream on the bottom of the cup, strong brewed ice coffee with half n half on top nothing is better then cooling off with one these babys. For hot drunks U love there Vanilla lattce with wip. Way better then sbux. read more

Solid Peet's store! Product is exceptional with a stellar staff! This is coming from a long time peets patron.

I rarely get coffee, and to be fair since it's a franchise the coffee will always be the same. But I have gone to this Peet's more than any other place I'll ever review, so it deserves its own review too. I've ordered just about everything on the menus once just to try it out. Personally, I always get Oolong ever since they quit selling Ancient Trees. The staff is great, I like that they haven't renovated the interior to look like some of the newer Peet's, The service is great and everything is always very clean, so it's as good as any Peet's can get. Also focusing on all Peet's, Peet's always has interesting seasonal items. I rarely get them but they're definitely a little more unique than most coffee places, I recommend them if you haven't had the chance. read more

First I was charged for two drinks when I had a buy one get one free coupon that the cashier took. So I payed for two drinks, ten bucks... It was a rip off, especially when I got the drinks and they tasted literally like shit. Old milk and stale shots of espresso. Very disappointing. read more

horrible experience. i will not be buying peets from any location ever again. i ordered on doordash who did their job properly, but received a canceled order, so i called the store and aaron said they did not have an on sight manager to send me a gift card and that i can call the customer service line because there was a glitch in the system which is why they proceeded to put out my canceled order hence why my dasher picked up the wrong pickup which was peets store fault. the customer service did noy own up to their fault and kept making it about door dash refunding me which i already picked a bone with door dash but this was no fault of my dasher and completely the fault of the company "system glitch" and i am livid! yes its just coffee and yes its just $16 spent and regardless of doordash refunding me this is not a door dash issue its the principle of the fact that peets has no integrity and no intention of making it right. hell at least starbucks would have done any and everything to fix the issue. even if peets offered to have someone bring me my order i wouldn't care about a gift card but theyre basically telling me fvck me and my time that was wasted and my breakfast which was ruined and the inconvenience that they (not doordash) caused. and if the on site manager doesn't comment and fix this and make things right i will gladly spend my coffee habbit elsewhere because that is complete crap‼‼‼‼ own up to your bs and have some integrity dammit! just horrible and customer service number is a piss poor excuse pathetic example of what customer service actually is. shame on them. read more

Most of the time I come to peet's we have great service. Today was different... I do not know what her name was but she had blue/teal hair. Let's start off with the fact that I didn't know the name of the coffee so I told her what I thought it was and she said "I don't know, that could it" in an extremely snotty attitude. Continued to act extremely condescending towards me, and her snotty attitude did not let up. She hands me my drink and it is 80% foam. Her hideous attitude makes me never want to come to this location ever again. HORRIBLE. She ruined my life experience with her hideous attitude. read more

New Masala Chai Latte is DISGUSTINGLY SWEET! Loved the old RECIPE, this one literally turns my stomach. Tastes like the competition's gross premix that is sugary & milky & not very spicy. Their advertisement says "Our own blend of teas and spices, lightly sweetened, with steamed milk." So why is it gaggy sweet??? PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL RECIPE & LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU DO!
