As a rule, I enjoy Peet's coffee (and tea) far more than Starbucks' products. Their baked goods are classier and tastier (in my opinion) as well, but that's not so much of an issue--they're coffee shops, not bakeries. This Peet's has particularly talented baristas, which is one of the reasons I'm even posting this review. I ordered a half-pump raspberry mocha, expecting the same subtle bittersweet medley of flavors that the order usually begs and not much else. However, the drink (in a to-go cup, no less) arrived at the bar with the most spectacular foam art that I immediately snapped a picture and sent it to all of my friends. The art of presentation seems to be majorly lacking in coffee shops these days (with understandable reasons--presentation isn't really the goal when you've got a line out the door, which this Peet's often has) but it seems that these baristas are trained to take a little extra time with the drinks when possible. Coffee is such a social, artistic drink that I feel time, creativity, and energy are necessarily part of the equation--especially when I'm paying so much money for a single drink! I might as well make my coffee at home. I order specialty drinks at these places for the "special"ness of them, and it's always something of a let-down to get a drink that looks so rushed. The only reason I will not offer this Peet's a 5-star review is that their seating is so dismally limited. If you're looking for a reliable place to be able to grab a comfy armchair for a prolonged stay, I highly recommend re-locating to the Starbucks in the lot just across the street. I like this location. The setup for covid is okay. The entire staff is really friendly. One employee stands out to me as she is always very friendly when I come here. I don't know her name but she has short hair and tattoos. Every time I come here she is very friendly and I have seen her dance around the store. Glad to see employees having some fun at work. Since upgrading the staff to faster, smarter, younger, more energetic (mostly) girlies, it's gotten WAY better. Of all the Peet's locations I've visited, this one is the best. Good parking, friendly staff, outdoor (covered) seating. Great place to grab a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. It does get busy in the morning (around 8am) and the line snakes out the door, but they try to get people through as quickly as possible. I like the fact that their baked goods span the range from sickly sweet to semi nutritious. I can grab a bear claw or a bran muffin depending on my mood that day. I Love this store. I also love the Cambrian Park store. Doug is lovely. He has been serving/working at the Los Gatos store for years. He is always delightful and incredibly helpful. The staff always seems to be so personable, so happy and helpful. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it well. This Peet's location is a little out of the way for me -- but it's definitely worth the trip. Peet's has an excellent deal going on -- $2.00 Medium Freddo Fridays (every Friday in July) So, I'm sad that this is the last week to enjoy this July special. Great store, quick service :) I think people who are complaining about a lot of foam should ask for it FLAT instead of complaining that it was made CORRECTLY (with 2in of foam). if you don't like foam, go to starbucks :) Also, if you complain about long lines shouldn't that tell you something? its GOOD SERVICE AND PRODUCT. Spend a lot of time at various Peet's locations but have found that many of their locations charge different prices for the same thing being ordered. Recently ran into this at the Los Gatos store and when I raised the issue, the employee was pretty rude. Luckily, I am the editor of a consumer artist newsletter and will be writing derogatory articles on Peet's until they change their practices. read more

Went to Phil's first because you can get what you want, but the line there looked to be at least 30 minutes. The line here was much faster. Peet's gets a low rating because it took a long discussion to try to get the coffee I wanted: iced mocha with more coffee than milk. Didn't really get what I wanted when it was all said and done. The coffee was OK. For what these places charge for coffee and considering they are made to order, I should be able yo get it how I want it. read more

I love Peets but I was so shocked when my husband and I got our drinks and they were basically all foam! Did I order a cappacino??? My goodness I was just so shocked. I use to be a barista and I would feel wrong for handing that out. My husband had my drink till we got to the car so I had no clue how light it was or I would of said something. Also I used the restroom which needed paper towels. I probably won't be back. read more

Everyone has there favorite coffee shop. I'm usually a mom and pop'r, but this is my favorite chain, and favorite chain store. They always do a great job of keeping the line moving. They treat everybody like they are a regular. They take pride in their work. I've never walked away from this place disappointed and I go here multiple times a week. It's awesome. read more

The baristas are awesome! My drinks always come out perfect! The shots are pulled at the right time and the foam is on point! I would give this location more stars if the cashiers were friendlier. Out of the past 3 visits, 2 of the cashiers haven't greeted me. For example, I went in the evening yesterday and asked the lady at the register "How are you?" She said, "Yeah. What do you want?" Not sure what her problem was, but I know she is not a reflection on the service that I normally get at this location. read more

I must say, I really like Peet's Coffee! It was my first time trying Peet's, and the flavour is definitely better than Starbucks (which I have been drinking for 15 years across multiple states and countries -- they got me with the gold stars and free drinks!). We all got the Black Tie Iced Coffee, and it was great. I'm a fan! I'm actually a bit disappointed I didn't get the great gift card Costco was recently pedaling. Woops... Next time. :) read more

I love this Peet's location! Super baristas, wonderful staff that are always friendly, helpful and somehow remember my name, even if I haven't stopped by in awhile! It's the little things like that that make the difference in my day when I get to the point where I need a fatty pastry and three shots of espresso. The line does get ridiculously long sometimes, but they work efficiently and the line moves along, so it's never that long of a wait. They're also really good about providing recommendations when I come to get beans. Friendly service, good beverages, and free WiFi...definitely deserving of all five stars. read more

I live nearby and this is my place for a consistently strong latte on the go. If I'm out running errands and need a quick pick me up...I know this place will do the trick. Also, they are quite prompt and usually pretty friendly. Another yelper mentioned that coffee is just coffee, but I beg to differ. There are many good things about this location and I would have given it 4 stars if it were not for the consistent sour and apathetic customer service I've experienced. Let me say some things good about this place. First, the new remodeling has done wonders for the atmosphere and open seating for the customers (although I suspect the worker's space got a bit smaller--but that's not my problem). It's much nicer now. Secondly, there is excellent outside seating, in the shade. Thirdly, while there is frequently a steady flow of customers you are not likely to wait in line for very long; also, you'll probably always find a seat. Thirdly, the patrons here are not groups of high school students but more adult and mature. So, there is less noise and drama. Here are some bad things. On more than one occasion I've stood in line, being next at the register, and I'll be watching three employees doing various things behind the counter, including laughing and joking with one another, and time will just keep on ticking, and not a one even bothers to acknowledge my presence. All it would have taken was a simple, "I'll be right with you" but no, have never gotten that one. Then, when someone finally ready to take my money--not serve me as a customer, but just take my money as a consumer--they never apologized for the wait or even genuinely smiled. They would often be talking to other employees while I'm at the register ordering and handing them my money. Seriously bad customer service. Lastly, the patrons, being mostly middle-aged and retirement age people leaves the atmosphere something to be desired. No artists, no philosophers, no chessplayers, no intellectuals, just business people talking their ridiculous business-ease, and old people with their dogs. read more

I have been buying coffee and tea from this Peets for about 20 years. I have to say that this location has always been great but, last 5 or so it has been a total pleasure to frequent. The manager is an amazing guy and really does a great job of getting everything done and having fantastic customer service. The drinks are always good and if there is an issue, they fix it, no fuss! This Peets is quite possibly the best coffee place I go to regularly. I always get a warm welcome and a genuine smile. The whole staff is amazing, they really know how to pick the right people here!
