I generally get iced coffee, skipping the milk and sugar, which is good. I came here since I was in the area and studying. Good sized location with pastries and tables for studying. Not the most tables or chairs available, although there are some outside- but it's smellpitas after all. Most of the people who come in are regulars. One star knocked off for my gross bathroom experience here, literally feces on the outer rim of the toilet bowl and floor. Yep, you already know I told the workers. There are many here who do their work here, and you can easily spark a fun conversation with the baristas. Like the many others, I got the Vanilla Latte (~$5). What tastes odd to me was the taste that it was similar to normal coffee with a lot of sweetener in it. I can tell it's well made, hot, and had the milk in it but that feeling is still present. Their gift cards remain active for an obscenely long time. I found one that had been lost to the depths of my purse. They checked it. It was still active, and I could use it to purchase my delicious delicious caffeine. I'm a SB member for many years, so I frequently that stores rather than Peet's. And since there are not that many Peet's stores around, I can't say that I am a Peet's fan. However this morning might change my attitude toward Peet's, as I was greeted by Mina at this store during my crave for a simple cup of joe. I used up my Peet's giftcard (given by a friend), and still owed Mina 5 cents. I didn't have any change handy, and a trip to the car was long. So Mina put that nickel on the house. A simple gesture (that could Mina in trouble with the boss?) but meant a whole world. And this cup of coffee at Peet's is flavorful, and the place where I got my sugar, half-and-half dairy was filled with stuff that I no longer found at some SBs: pot of honey, cinnamon, cocoa powder, etc. I believe SB is growing too large and some locations just felt too much pressure to treat their valuable customers. Here at this Peet's I have rediscovered what a SB used to be. Salute Mina! Salute Peet's. I'll be your fan from this day on. For all the actual coffee drinkers (not those frappuccinos and latte drinkers), Peet's hit the spots w/ their Italian roast.. dark roast, slight nutty and caramel in aroma, mild acidity, and needs no enhancements. I usually add a Splenda to my coffee but I can drink it black if the coffee is brewed correctly (not watered down), not gritty due to the grounds, doesn't carry a burnt aroma or taste, and definitely depends on the type of roast is being brewed as well. This Peet's is located next to Safeway.. there's a Starbucks kiosk in there. There are seatings inside and out and I consider this location to be rather huge and it serves a great place to study, mingle and catch up w/ friends, or simply to enjoy a little downtime by yourself w/ a good book. Parking is a little crazy at times due to Safeway shoppers. read more

I think the baristas here are wonderful and this is probably my favorite Peet's because I always come away smiling after visiting this Peet's. The baristas are not only friendly, but they're very engaging and conversational. They like to share tips and random notes about their coffees and/or just in general share their experiences with you even if you're waiting there for a minute for your latte. I've learned so much about their teas and tumblers just from standing around or looking curiously at a sign that they have up. They also have free-wifi here is that's a huge plus. The store is large, well lit and spaciously configured with lots of tables, chairs and couches. I would definitely come here to study if they were open later or open super late night. I love this place a lot! i go here all the time for a reason. I used to go to Starbucks before till all Starbucks drinks started tasting like pure sugar. At Peet's, it actually taste like coffee. This can't be true right? Especially for a coffee shop... but it is... I'm sure a lot of people get disappointed that their drinks are not as sweet but obviously everyone and their mom's are so used to the taste of diabetes, that when they drink an actual an actual coffee drink, they make a thizz face and throw away their drink. I am a long time Peet's customer. I travel frequently for work. Today, I stopped in for my fave Jasmine Tea. I needed to use their restroom and was disdainfully told ,"It's out of order." When I asked if there was another nearby, they said, "Well, you could try Safeway, if they haven't shut theirs down too." I get Covid 19 is changing our world, but to not let your customers use your perfectly functioning restrooms is unfriendly, rude, and clearly demonstrates a complete disregard for your customers. Peet's coffee just does not do it for me. Service is great, nice and helpful but the coffee I just don't like. Every time I drink Peet's it like drinking watered down coffee. This is what I order from this location was the Carmel Macchiato, it taste like watered down Carmel. I just went today before 15 minutes of closing. We had a quick order and needed to use the bathroom before we head out driving 40 miles back to get home. We wanted to use the bathroom but this guy who was cleaning the bathroom told us the bathroom is close because he just got done cleaning and did not waNt to deal wit I it again. He blocked the whole door way with chairs making obvious. I told him we really needed to go because we had a long way back home he said " we can go to safeway." Worse customer service! Whenever i can avoid The Evil Mermaid, I do everything within my power to do exactly that. I was in dire need of caffeine as my friend needed to be in Milpitas super early and I was elected as the driver. Here we are in a foreign country, we know nothing about anything, we need coffee and food and decided Peete's was the best option. They were offering the India Peaberry blend, which apparently is a 3 week only super important event. Side note, I recently finished a pound of Peaberry Kona coffee, so knowing that Peaberry is top notch, I decided to try it out. It was a bit watery and didn't pack the flavor punch I had expected. However, it definitely packed a knockout blow of caffeine and I really should not have ordered the 2nd cup. The staff were super friendly, very chatty and were busting their humps to get lots of drinks out for lots of thirsty customers. I've been only going to Peets coffee (unless I ABSOLUTELY have to go to Starbucks, which isn't quite often), and I absolutely love everything about it. I believe I first started going here my Junior year of high school. I started off with the sweet drinks -- Freddos and Iced Lattes. Anywho, back then when you ordered something, they gave you an hour of wifi. Back then, I didn't really care, and even now I still don't (but trust me, I love the free wifi now). I love Peet's environment so much. All the drinks are made with the utmost care and precise touch, and the employees at Peets are all so friendly and generous. There were times where I would stay at Peets for hours at a time to just study or relax with a cup of coffee. It's that amazing. I also recommend those going through a hard time to just get a cup of your favorite coffee, a journal, and a pen and just write away your thoughts. You can do so much here and I feel as though Peets has helped me through not only academic challenges throughout high school, but also everyday mental and emotionally troubles I go through. Now that I go to UC Irvine as a 2nd year, I always look forward to coming back and getting a medium Iced-Coffee (no room). Stay here for a bit and get a refill for only a buck because it's definitely worth it. I'm here almost every day, if not five times a week until I go back to school on 9/18. Feel free to look for me and we can have a great conversation together. I love meeting new people. Anyway, thanks, Peet's coffee, for being my go-to place for every thing (including delicious coffee) the past 3-4 years. This location of peet's is great. The baristas gave me wonderful suggestions and I enjoyed my gingerbread latte. They also have a great selection of teas I'm constantly tempted to buy! The only thing is that I think the music can be a bit too loud. Although it's just instrumental, it can get really loud and distract me from my reading or I can hear it even with my headphones on. I've been to this Peet's location a few times, but only when I'm in the area. My boyfriend and I were here last night, about 30 minutes before closing on a Monday night. Our drinks were made quickly, but my boyfriend's cold brew fog latte seemed to be on the bitter side. Also, my coffee javiva was a bit on the icy side. They were out of the flat plastic tops.
