Parking here is very difficult and I think most people who come here live nearby enough to walk. You gotta hope to get lucky with some street parking as they have no designated parking areas. I've had several odd cashier interactions where I am met with blank stares and no dialogue as I order. Today took the cake, however. When I ordered, the cashier looked at me confused. I picked up their menu and pointed to the item one I wanted. The cashier had to come find me again after placing my order to confirm it again. They have a seasonal chai listed and 'can be made into a pumpkin chai by request.' There was confusion around it coming with a shot of espresso and because my stomach has been completely wrecked since I had it, I think the they must have put two shots into my drink. In the past 5 hours, I've used the restrooms 4 times and eventually projectile vomited. I don't drink coffee often and had this in ONE sitting. I realize this is a unique experience as I do not drink espresso often but wanted to share so you all understand how strong their coffee is and seeing as how its across SCU, it DOES make sense why so many people come here. Upset is the least of what I feel right now and can confidently share I will not be back. Shits fucked up. No pun intended

Since Peets doesn't take complaints serious... On March 20 around 4pm my business partner wanted to meet here for a meeting. I tried to persuade him not to because of the bad customer service but had no choice. I avoided ordering my drink from the gentle man who iv had bad experiences with. (Anthony i believe) While observing...I noticed yet AGAIN.. him yelling at an employee and showing frustration and anger.(Very uncomfortable) This time it was at a young lady with black hair and braces. What is wrong with this guy? And why is Peets allowing him to tarnish their reputation! Wow Peets just hires anyone these days!! I wrote Peets a month ago about a similar complaint and have had no response. Maybe someone else can fix this problem Hello there I wanted to inform you about an experience I had at your Santa Clara, Rivermark location the other week. While browsing for beans I noticed a young Asian man yelling excessively at the employee Sammy. At first I thought they were just playing around but then I noticed his voice started to go up and he seemed really aggressive. This made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, especially when I over heard the other employees speaking about being scared. Does this happen often? I asked one of the other employees and they said yes. I asked what his name was and they said (Anthony) Is this the kind of employees Peets hires now? Enraged, uncontrollable individuals filled with anger? Unfortunately I decided to give this location another chance and was let down On Feb 25, I came from 3-330 and was wrong up by this individual Anthony, He seemed extremely stressed out and angry. Store layout was a confusing. Pretty much Order and Pick Up share the same counter. So you have to squeeze yourself into a big crowd of people who are waiting to order to pick up your drink. It got worse when you are not sure if it is your drink because they don't call your name. They don't give you a cap, so my drink was spilled and the cup was sticky when I tried to grab the cap while a couple who were waiting for their orders and chitchatting and totally ignored they are standing in front of the counter where you get straw/cap/napkin...The women looked at me when i tried to grab the cap and napkin behind her and looked like I was invading her privacy... this is what happened when it has super strange layout and pick up counter. They don't give people enough places to sit and arrange all the seats near to the bathroom....I am never a huge fan of Starbucks but now I officially am. read more

I've been to this location quite a few times. A reliable place to go for a nice drink. My experiences there have been pleasant. The staff is diverse and friendly, and I haven't had a bad drink there so far. I have to admit that I've overheard several workers talking to each other about how they don't seem to favor their district manager, and other such complaints. Which makes me wonder if there are unpleasant things happening behind the pleasant coffee atmosphere. Awesome coffee, brewed with a rich and bold flavor yet not burnt which is more than I can say about other coffee shops I've been to. I used to work at sfo airport and the peet's Coffee I ordered daily was extremely watered down. The ambiance here is pretty nice as well. There isn't much seating as it's moreso a booth connected to one of the entrances on the first floor of the Nordstrom store, but there's a good amount of seating around the entrance that you could use instead (though do keep in mind that this is Valley Fair and as a result the seats may be taken already). The service has also been friendly from most of my experiences here, so that's a pleasant bonus too. The drinks seem to vary a bit in quality, though I imagine it's probably due to my own preferences rather than the fault of the coffee bar itself. My favorite so far has been the Lavender Chai, which had a unique flavor that I don't think I've ever encountered at any other coffee place before. The flavor of the chai is also distinct, which you can also taste in the spiced chai. Some of the plant-based lotus energy drinks have been good as well, though whatever they're using for the lotus energy part is REALLY strong and has resulted in me being unable to sleep when I drink it later in the day. I would advise only ordering this drink in the morning, especially if your caffeine tolerance is a little weaker like mine. Their new Dirty Sodas have been a hit or miss. The Strawberry Shortcake and Mango Passion were both decent, but the Vanilla Berry and Cake Pop Dirty Soda were a little disappointing. I haven't bothered to try the others, but I'm not interested enough in soda to try I would, however, NOT recommend their matcha drinks. The matcha is on the weaker side and when you have Matcha Cafe Maiko just one floor above and only a short walk from one of Nordstrom's second floor entrances, it just seems smarter to go there instead. Staff is friendly, they serve great complimentary coffee and are generally quick to help you out. Also, I love the that it's a chill spot and there's places to sit. I rated it down one star because the mall is always packed and parking can be challenging. Otherwise, great place to pick up your pods and sample new seasonal varieties.

There are way too many staff members at this store. They were hovering over me, not giving me the…read morespace to look and shop, making me very uncomfortable. When I walked into the store, a staff member with a tablet asked me what I was in the store for. She also told me up front that I needed to "get on a wait list" to go to the cash register to check out and asked me if I wanted to put my name on the list. I had only made it two steps into the store and there was literally only one other customer in the store...How ridiculous is that to ask. Then when I made it to the back of the store to pull the sleeves I wanted, another employee stopped me and asked me if I need help. Like let me look around please, geez!! This store feels beautiful inside but they are trying way too hard to act premium when the store and the products should speak for themselves. I've tried a few times to like this store, but like another reviewer said, it makes me want to ditch the whole brand altogether.

I also love that they use heavy cream, which adds such a rich, smooth depth to the coffee that you just don't get everywhere else. Ordering through the app is super easy and convenient, and the staff here have always been friendly and welcoming. The only downside is the parking, It can get pretty packed in this complex, especially during peak times. But aside from that, I absolutely love having Philz so close to home. Definitely a new regular spot for me!

I only order a creamy cream + sweet Estatic, and each time, the flavor fluctuates (depending on all the baristas I guess). One day it'll taste super yummy, spot-on to when I order at their downtown or Sunnyvale location. The next day I order, it'll have literally no sugar or hardly any cream. Very odd that they don't have a consistent formula down for this one drink. Also, if I get a large, it'll feel watery, too. SUCH a hit or miss and very disappointing to be so inconsistent!!! Literally never know what type of drink I'm getting.

Its primary ingredients include fresh orange juice, frozen peaches, frozen bananas, and their Daily Vitamin + Zinc boost. This used to be a great location because it was close to Mercado Theaters. Though, since the pandemic, theater attendance has affected Jamba's business also. But, I still like to get smoothies, etc from them. Support your local business.
