With a feral toddler, we needed some place she could run around outside and PeeWee's came up on a quick search. When we arrived, we tried multiple doors before finding the front entrance and kind of awkwardly stood there until someone told us to seat ourselves because there was no signage. We asked to sit outside because of the noise levels, and after we were told how to get there we found a table on the patio. Because they didn't open the outdoor seating until after we ordered. The place filled up quickly on a Friday evening, and the service definitely slowed when more parties arrived, so I wouldn't recommend it when you're in a hurry. But the prices and food were good and portions were big. I forgot to take a picture of our Tater Skins, but they were delicious. Will definitely be back eventually, maybe for breakfast next time!

Local favorite place of mine. Stopped in for some of their chicken bites, Buffalo style, which were tender and juicy. I had sweet potato fries as a side with mayo that I mixed with hot sauce. My son got a burger and fries which he loved! The service was slower, as they were a little short staffed, but very apologetic and kind. Same great customer service, as always!

This place is unassuming from the outside. Interior was rustic. The menu was large with lots of choices. I had the ribeye steak on rye with sweet potato fries and hot bacon slaw. The steak was thin with two slices of red onion. The sweet potato fries were hot and tasty. The hot slaw, that is hard to find except in Kentucky restaurants, was vinegary and loaded with almost too many bacon bits. My sister had the Kentucky Hot Brown. Instead of morney sauce it had queso sauce. She said it enhanced the hot brown. The grilled vegetable pasta with shrimp was chosen by my other sister. It came with the salad bar. The pasta was plentiful. Overall a good meal. I probably would choose a different entree if I went back.

While in northern Kentucky, my wife and I stopped at Pee Wee's Place to have dinner. Pee Wee's offers a relaxed, family-friendly bar & restaurant. They have sand volleyball pits and a large outdoor deck. We started with the Twice Baked Skins. This dish has potato skins filled with mashed potatoes, bacon, cheddar, and sour cream. The skins were crispy, and the creamy mash needed additional seasoning. The cheddar cheese melted well, and the bacon bits were crunchy and added much-needed salt. On the side was a generous amount of sour cream to dip the skins into. I had the Bacon cheeseburger, to which I added an egg. The burger came with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo on the side with fries, and I also added molly mac (Mac and cheese named after the owner's daughter). The fries were undercooked, causing them to be chewy, and they lacked seasoning. The Mac and Cheese noodles were cooked well, but the dish was under-seasoned and dry. The cheese flavor only came through with the melted sliced cheese on top. The bun and veggies were fresh, and the pickles were cut thick. The burger was cooked well with good seasoning. The cheese melted well on the burger. The egg was fried over hard; the creaminess of the yolk would have added texture to the bite. The bacon was crispy and salty with a good chew. My wife tried the Philly Cheesesteak with Molly mac. Her steak was cooked well, but it was under-seasoned. The bun was fresh, the provolone cheese melted nicely, and the veggies had a slight crunch. It was a decent bite, but I needed that salt to improve the dish. It was the same issue with the Molly Mac as before. Pee Wee's has an extensive menu. They offer breakfast until 2 pm. There was a large assortment of starters, sandwiches, salads, burgers, pasta, and dinners. The staff was genuinely friendly. They also have a full far and beer on draft. The Fat Man says that Pee Wee's Place is NOT Fat Man Approved with 0 chins.

We had a great family breakfast this morning at Peewee's. I was a little nervous about taking our toddler to what I thought was mostly a bar, but it was an excellent experience! The servers knew to bring our 2 year old a cup with a lid and his own small plate; I can't tell you how often we go out to eat and he's handed a large full water to spill. This sounds like a small detail, but it's so appreciated when you're trying to have a meal out with a little one. Our food was very good. My husband had been craving biscuits and gravy, and they definitely passed the test. Their goetta and sausage were also really good.

Happy Hour $3 well drinks and outdoor play sand.

Friday night met a friend for dinner at Peewee's. Our server was Tracy. She was quite friendly and eager to help. The dinner special was prime rib. Peewee was cooking. Yes, there is actually a PeeWee'! The prime rib was excellent, the service was excellent They had entertainment, which was a solo guitarist, and he was quite good also. All in all, very good experience. Great food great service fun place to be very casual. Places like this are hard to come by. This hospitality is unique. If you want to drop back into life in the 1950s and americana, this is the place to be! And they have a great selection of bourbon. read more

I was looking for a diner in Covington KY and came across PeeWee's. After reading reviews and the fabulous menu, decided to try it and so happy we did on a busy Sunday! Friendly guests greeted us in the lot and we felt warm hospitality as soon as we walked in. You could tell the owner, PeeWee loves what he does and that customers love him back. The corned beef hash special was excellent and all of our selections were well prepared and flavorful. What a hidden gem!!!! read more

If you are looking for great food AND the friendliest owner/staff/fellow patrons anywhere, this is the place! We came for a late breakfast and I'd recommend the potatoes and the cinnamon toast. The gotta is an area exclusive, so try that as well. However, they have a great bar with a large selection and it was 12:00 somewhere, so my husband had a bourbon with his breakfast. Great draft selection too. I would give this place ten stars if I could. They went out of their way to make our day better! read more

Peewees is a must hit spot, walked in was instantly greeted and felt welcomed. After we sat down PeeWee himself came over and hung out with us making us feel like regulars from the get go. He asked if our table had ever tried geta since we are visitors. We hadn't so he brought us a sample and it was absolutely delicious, along with the rest of the food. This place is homey and delicious. 10/10 would PeeWees again. read more

Our service this morning was stellar! Went in after graveyard shift for some good hearty breakfast, and good fellowship with co-workers! Drinks of Bloody Mary, Mimosa, and Baileys with coffee were enjoyed at the table, and our server was patient allowing us time to enjoy our drinks, but attentive enough to know the pace with which to get us fed! French Toast and Goetta, Biscuits and Gravy, and the Crows Nest were the fare chosen by our ladies. My main standout was super crispy hashbrowns! PeeWee even stopped by to say hello and share a joke.....I won't spoil the punchline! read more

I was always a PeeWee's regular when I lived in the area and try to stop in whenever I'm passing through. Great food at reasonable prices. However, at some point in the last few years it's gotten extremely religious and conservative. There are bible quotes up everywhere and even the staff members wear really bizarre uniforms with Christian references in them. No major complaint here other than the uncomfortable environment it creates in a bar setting. Other than that, food is still spot on. read more

The owner greeted us and upon our first visit we could feel how special this place was. Everyone knew everyone and the food was delicious. They have so many fun things around the restaurant that make you smile. They had a bowling game and connect 4 that the kids loved. When we left we felt like we were leaving a friends house. Our waitresses Emma and Tracie did a great job and the owner felt like an instant friend! Thanks for the great food and servic! We hope to come back one day soon! read more

Love their food so much especially their boneless wings with ranch and it's a great price but their service usually leaves something to be desired. Just make sure you have a long time to wait to get your order taken, receive your order, and get a check - this isn't a quick lunch location. They seem to have regulars especially at the bar that get most of the attention but when they do coke over they are nice just slower. Seems like they are in "Hawaii time" lol. read more

Wife and I came into town from Seattle for our grandsons 1st birthday . We wanted wings so my sister in-law googled best wings and PeeWees came up.Man they was they right . My go-to in NKY. Don't let the lack of curb appeal fool you. Nothing fancy, just good food-huge menu of selections from wings & burgers to Liver & Onions and everything in between. This place is like the "Cheers" of northern KY. Truly a family run restaurant. Kitchen open for breakfast (get the crows nest with eggs over medium, and Goetta, add grilled onions) lunch and dinner daily from 8a-8p. Bar stays open later. Very kid friendly. Outdoor covered deck, outdoor patio for smokers, and kids play area outside as well including Sand Volleyball court. League. plenty of TV's anywhere you look. My personal best is 4 different times in a day eating/drinking here. read more

One of the best little small hole in the wall bars in northern Kentucky. The staff, the servers in the owners, bend over backwards to make the meal and your food right the first time. What a wonderful experience. I will be going back to this. The Buffay in the afternoons is worth the price and is very filling. The cook Beto, is absolutely hysterical. What a great cook. Takes great pride in his work and takes a moment to make sure that everything is right for his customers. Great job, everyone ! read more

My Coworkers and myself decided to stop at PeeWee for lunch and just within the few minutes in here decided we should've been here all last week. I give this establishment five stars because of the following reasons; The owner offered us free appetizers, he was a very social and friendly. The food was delicious. Great place for family atmosphere! From sitting on the deck (covered or uncovered) to just relaxing with a cold beverage and enjoying a great meal, this place welcomes everyone! You can enjoy watching sand volleyball or chill at the bar with all the friendly locals. My suggestion is the Big Easy or the Blackened Cod Sandwich. Huge menu to accommodate all walks of life! Evidently you only get service at Peewees if you are "Great Friend". Stopped in for dinner at 7:30 Sat the table right by the door and the bar. Servers never got up from wrapping silverware. Not sure how they even earned the one star I gave them. read more

The inside was nice, a couple tables available if you decide to eat/drink your meal there. They offer a quick pick up service as well if that's more your style. My interaction with the employee was minimal as I just simply ran in, said my name, he handed over my food and I walked out. I got the smoothie and quesadilla combo meal that comes with a side. I got the Blueberry Bliss smoothie with the energizer added (extra charge) with the three cheese chicken quesadilla and a side of sun chips. Let's start with the smoothie: I personally liked it. It's very fruit forward like a smoothie should be and not overly sweet. The addition of the energizer supplement also helped me get through a long day at work! I was exhausted and after drinking this it helped bring me back to life so to speak. You also get a pretty decently sized portion for the price. I would definitely visit to get another smoothie here in the future. Now onto the quesadilla... epic fail here. From the photos and the price, I was expecting a quesadilla with a decent amount of filling, but I was sadly disappointed. The quesadilla was so thin and it only got worse. It lacked flavor and was super dry. It needs some type of sauce or something to help it out. The quesadilla was $7 (smoothie was $4.99 + the extra for the supplement addition), which means it definitely wasn't worth that. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Maybe their other food options are better, but I'm not sure I want to spend the extra money to find out. In terms of value, I don't think this full meal was worth the $16 that I paid for it, especially with the sad quesadilla. ($14 for the meal plus $2 tip) it wasn't very filling at all and Chipotle would've saved me a little money and made me feel full (similar healthy/fresh food marketing). However, I think the smoothie was good and fairly priced, so odds are I'll just stick to those in the future!

On top of that, our food came out incorrect and had to be sent back to be fixed. We were also told my child would receive a kids' drink with her meal, which never came. Unfortunately, this has become a pattern--each visit seems to bring poorer service and lower food quality, especially considering the prices. My son had the cheese pizza and enjoyed it. My wife had the country club wrap and a side salad. The salad was fresh. She enjoyed the wrap as well. Been going there for years and years and years... ""it's like eating and hanging out in your best friends kitchen and having a great time and laughs like you're never had before."" Staff is GREAT! Service is GREAT! and food is .... FANTASTIC. Have had almost all the stuff on the menu and always happy happy happy! It's where multi millionaires, electricians, musicians, politicians, athletes, (and some of those cool people who you know play outside the lines), go to GET REAL. Burgers, wings, sizzling skillets, grilled cheese, fries, quesadilla, Breakfast NEST, goetta, etc..all damn good and great portions. Be sure to try the CATERING. TRUE STORY: Every so often our gang might go to a 'fancy' restaurant. Yes, their food was great BUT there was not the cool atmosphere like at PeeWees. Funny how We always end up at PeeWees and have such a great time we need to UBER home....(if you get my drift). Volleyball in summer is a frigging hoot! Be sure you read the signs and posters in the guys room. Hysterical. side note: A few years back My Wife busted her ankle and was bed ridden...guess what, PeeWee himself showed up with chicken bites, a bottle of wine, fries and other fixins. My husband and I visited twice recently. The first time I had the spinach salad and he had the Rueben. It was hands down the best spinach salad I've ever had. Lots of bacon and a generous portion of piping hot dressing. My husbands sandwich looked delicious and loaded with meat. The second time I went with the simple grilled cheese and cup of chili while my husband had a fish sandwich and sweet potato fries. That grilled cheese melted in my mouth. It was so good and not your average grilled cheese. The chili was nice and meaty. It was a good cross between Texas style but with a taste of Cincinnati style to it - if that makes sense. My husband's fish looked delicious and his portion of sweet potato fries was huge. The service both times was very friendly and efficient. You can tell looking around and listening that this place has a lot of regulars. I can see why. We are looking forward to trying breakfast here soon. read more

I love going to Peewee's for a few reasons. The food is incredible and the service is great but the main reason I'll continue coming back is the atmosphere. PeeWee, his family, & the entire staff will treat you like you're family every time you stop in. If PeeWee isn't cooking your dinner himself then you can find him in the restaurant conversing with the guests and putting smiles on peoples faces. The guy has an infectious personality that catches on quick and he'll go above and beyond to keep his guests happy. Another face you'll see a lot of there is Lesley, the lead bartender and longest tenured employee. She does a great job of servicing her customers and will brighten your spirits with the charisma she brings into every shift....As a matter of fact I think I'm gonna head over to PeeWee's right now. We came to Peewees for lunch one day. Our server was Corey, he is a very nice and polite young man who was very attentive to our needs. The food came out wonderful, we had peewees famous cheeseburger with onion straws and a cup of chili. The burgers were top notch, probably the best we've had in northern Kentucky. The macaroni was made fresh and you could tell it was a homemade dish. The chili was similar to Skyline or gold star but it had much more meat and other ingredients, very Tasty. Our server informed us that Peewee's own mother Joann makes the chili herself and always has a fresh batch ready. Overall we were extremely pleased with our visit. The owner, Peewee himself, came out to tell us jokes and engaged in fun conversation with us while we waited for our food. What a great guy and what a fun and engaging staff. This was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had in a restaurant in my entire life. Period. I saw a server be accosted by a fellow server near the bar in full view of an entire dining room. I had my two young children with me and shivers literally when down my spine. It was so cringeworthy and there was no management anywhere to be seen, or at any point afterward. This occurred at least twice over the course of your visit (the second event happens with the same employee yelling at the other as we were paying to leave). I will never come here again if this is how this place is run. l live locally and have friends that have expressed in the past that they like this place. I will never join them again at this business. This workplace was so toxic and so disturbing to be around. Do NOT go or patronize this restaurant/bar. read more

This is a great family-owned and run bar/restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious! I like to try new things on the menu and I can honestly say that I have never had something I didn't like- which makes ordering a struggle each time I go back. Their food and drink prices are very reasonable. In addition, they have a sand volleyball league that my family and I have been playing in for about 6 years and love it. As a result, we are there at least once a week from roughly April through October. Often times they have live music for you to enjoy as well. With seating at the bar, indoor tables, the outdoor deck, and the picnic tables on the patio, they really appeal to any crowd. I always feel at home here and would recommend PeeWees to anyone! read more

Today, I had the pleasure of trying the pepper-jack potato soup, which PeeWee whipped up upon request for a favorite patron. As good as it gets, yes, in this price range. Friendly caring people who run the place transitions to the staff. The owner's parents, kids, wife, sister and other family and friends can be found serving, bar tending, cooking, busing tables, and just hanging out. You go to Pee Wee's to have a meal with family and friends and they've worked hard to make it family friendly. Awesome breakfast everyday, good buffet for lunch and great burgers, fried chicken, wings and the usual and some unusual appetizers - ruben bites, fried cheese coneys, sweet potato fries and now home brewed ice tea.Drink prices are the best anywhere. Great place, for many reasons! First the food is very good, whether it's their delicious hamburgers and French fries, their vegetable skillet (I add Cajun shrimp to mine), meatloaf, chicken wings...I could go on, but I'm starting to salivate on my keyboard. We have a big family, so there is something for everyone. The owner, his mother, who is there as often as not, and the whole service crew do all they can to please you. My wife and I have played on a sand volley ball league, with some friends from church. What a blast! Great fun, and good people on all the teams. This place is awesome! It's great home cooked food in a great family atmosphere. We have come for breakfast before church, for lunch, for special buffet events, for a wine-tasting night and have held two private functions here including our son's rehearsal dinner. The food and friendliness never disappoint. We have also come in the evening to catch a musical act. I would like to thank Pee Wee for his great service and hospitality. I have been a customer since Pee Wee first opened. My father had fallen and had broken 3 vertabrae in his back. I was telling Pee Wee that my Dad had been staying at a rehab facility for several days and the food was very lackluster. Came in town for an AAU tournament and this was the best place ever!!! Hospitality like I've never experienced! Peewee himself sat at the table with me and my boys and explained the menu, and even gave us samples of foods we were curious about without charging us! The food is AH-MAZING!! Absolutely love this place! Love the vegetable skillet with chicken and their chicken wings are outstanding. Very good breakfasts and the buffet is exceptional, especially the short ribs. But what makes this place my favorite is the staff. They are the reason that I keep coming back. They are exceptionally friendly and just truly make you feel at home. The menu is so vast that you can eat there every day for a month and never have the same thing twice, and sometimes I do. This is real home cooked, made from scratch food.
