Pegasus is just an okay Greek Family restaurant. We skipped Thanksgiving this year and even planned to skip the turkey. I caved in and decided to try Pegasus. They were one of the few restaurants open thanksgiving evening. We didn't dine in, we picked up. We ordered turkey dinners with soup and cheesecake for dessert. The soup was so bland my dog (who eats everything) refused to eat it. It was like a cup of unseasoned thickened flour water. Honestly, it was supposed to be cream of something soup but I could not tell what was in it. Skip any kind of cream soup there. The turkey was tender and moist. The gravy was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were homemade and good with some salt. Cranberries were straight out of the can. Pretty blah. The stuffing was mushy and thick. I couldn't even tell it was stuffing. There were no crispy bread chunks or any kind of flavoring in it. Again, super bland. Cheesecake was thin and barely had any crust on it. It came plain without toppings. It was actually pretty good. I put a drop of rhubarb and blueberry jam on top and it was fantastic. Despite the negatives, I am giving Pegasus three stars. They saved the day yesterday and we are willing to try them again at another time. Don't expect gourmet food and you'll be okay. read more

Great Sunday night dinner value. Ordered half rotisserie chicken and ribs. Came with veggies, soup and choice of potatoes which can be served up to 7 different ways. We stopped about 5:45p after having a rather busy day. I ordered the Bacon Double Cheese Burger. The burger arrived with both patties seared on the outside and completely raw in the center. As soon as I bit into it I spit it out. The server apologized but nobody else did. We left immediately. At the register the woman asked how everything was and when I said awful she replied "great" not listening to what I said. When I explained she just got it wrong she looked at the check and acknowledged my meal was removed. They did not say sorry let us fix it as nobody cared. They could have comped the check for the trouble but did not nor did anybody offer a reason to come back. Turn, run, and don't look back. read more

As a Greek from Chi who grew up in a restaurant family, I can tell you this place is great. My buddies got steak & eggs and a gyro sandwich & said they were delicious. They looked it. Went there last night with the Miller Valley Amateur Radio Club (meetings every Tuesday 6:30 to 8:30 and then Pegasus afterwards). The management was very accommodating with our group (about 15 guys?), our server, Rosa, was very friendly and very prompt with taking our order. There was even a minor mix up where one of the club members ordered something and got what he ordered, but... I guess in his mind it was going to be different than it was. Instead of saying tough luck, you ordered it, Rosa immediately took it back and did a custom order for him. Definitely looking forward to going back. The prices are very reasonable too! read more

Very rude management/ownership. I am a Grubhub driver who happens to have had a couple of orders to deliver from Pegasus. Yesterday, Grubhub messed their timings up, meaning I was late (through absolutely no fault of my own) to pick up the orders I needed to deliver from the restaurant. I was greeted by an incredibly rude lady who told me she expected me to tell the customers that their order was late because of me - she said "she needed me" to tell them it was my fault. A quick note on how Grubhub works - they send us orders based on their ideas of timing. I had been sent to one restaurant to pick up and deliver an order, when I got sent another offer for Pegasus. We only get sent another order from Grubhub when the company expects that the food from the original restaurant will be ready, we can deliver, and then get to the new restaurant in in time to pick up the next, fresh order. So, we accept the next job (or risk losing the whopping $9 hourly guarantee that we are offered as drivers, and lose access to signing up for future delivery blocks). So, when I get to the original restaurant, I am told that the order is going to take longer than expected. I tell the app this then means I am going to be running late to the next restaurant. Long story short, I am late to pick up from Pegasus because of the delay at the original restaurant and get an incredibly rude reception. Please be aware Pegasus: we drive like crazy, often necessarily dangerously, to get from one restaurant to another and to our customers in order to get to delivery spots on time. We rely almost exclusively on our tips, so we put ourselves (and our cars) under a great deal of pressure to get from one place to another. Grubhub essentially often pushes us to be unsafe. Do not, absolutely do not, assume I am being lackadaisical. Also, we are the face - albeit temporarily - for your business. Making us upset by offering us no respect reduces the likelihood that we can be cheery to the customer. Luckily, I'm always professional and courteous with customers, but you might not be so lucky with another driver. I can guarantee that you make more money from these deliveries than we do (please take into account we make basically nothing from each delivery, plus we have to pay our own gas/take care of our own vehicle maintenance). It could well be that the next driver decides that the low money isn't worth your rudeness. I live in the area and have been to your restaurant a number of times. You may not have lost the customers I delivered to for you (yes, I was apologetic and polite, though no, I did not tell them it was "my fault"), but you have certainly lost the patronage of myself and my partner. read more

My daughter and I decided to try it for lunch on a Friday before going to the Salvation Army to "treasure hunt". The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that our waitress was very friendly and attentive. When she asked how my pulled pork sandwich was, I said it was okay except for the rather large and sharp piece of rib bone I found in it. She was genuinely concerned and took it to the kitchen to make them aware. I could hear the owner say, "Well, we make it fresh" in reply to the waitress. That's great, but you still need to check that major chunks of bone aren't being served to your customer. Also, try serving fresh buns rather than stale toasted ones. The piece of bone is not my biggest complaint as these things happen. My biggest complaint is the sour-faced older woman (owner or mother of the owner?) who rang us up at the register. She hardly spoke to me. When I asked if I needed to sign the credit card receipt she put on the counter, she said "Right there" and handed me a pen. Isn't it usually older people (me included as a mid-40's woman) who usually complain about the lack of courtesy and manners in the younger generation? How about "I hope you enjoyed your meal despite the big chunk of bone. We hope you come again soon!" or simply "Thank you"? The bar-time crowd might be oblivious or not care, but this daytime diner will find another place to spend her $25 plus tip when in that area again. read more

YUCK! Back of house is not clean, stores product in the basement coolers and freezers which are dirty, lays meat on the dirty basement floor prior to cutting and they have roaches. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I have never felt so uncomfortable eating at an establishment before in my life. I left a bar to eat with my friends but it was 12:30am so I decided to have another beer. Not only did the manager study my I.D. asking me to take off my glasses because they are not in my I.D. but he looked me up and down. After that interaction, the waitress asked me what I wanted to drink. I had already ordered a beer. Thankfully the waitress was paying attention when I had mentioned the manager getting my drink. The Manager then looked at me the entire time I was in the restaurant. He even went as far as walking behind my booth to stare down my shirt. Due to him being the only manager in the place I couldn't very much ask for one. He HAD to bring me my food. My food was the last plate to come out. We said no food to come out until it was ALL ready. My two friends had gotten their food before myself. With that being said, my food was good. I had the kierestaurant skillet. It was very well made. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. My friend had to go and flag her down to get our check. So over all, if you enjoy good food with no service, while being a woman and having a man stare inappropriately at you while you're trying to eat, and then having to walk to your waitress at the other end of the restaurant, then this is an awesome place. If you aren't keen on having your wife, girlfriend, or even just friend want to leave the whole time you're there, then this won't be your type of place. My 1 star is for the food alone. read more

Nothing spectacular, just consistent decent food, better than most similar restaurants in the neighborhood (and 100 times better than disgusting Johnny V's.) Best "pro" about this place is that they serve food fast. Though I like that.... I can't help but wonder why it comes out so quickly... many chefs or lots of microwaving? Anyhow, go here for breakfast because it'll most likely be fresh and quick. Very good prices. Looks clean, but feels a little grubby. For instance, the plastic covered menus and even the backs of the chairs themselves seem a bit sticky/grubby. I made sure to use the restroom and wash my hands right after I ordered/right before I ate. It's Stallis... what do you expect? I would like to say I'm a big girl who loves food, but I wold not go back hear again even if they payed me to! The place looked like it need an huge upgrade. The costumer sieves was not good at all, they asked me if I wanted anything to eat, but however did not even ask my boyfriend who was their if he needed anything. Giving the the benefit of doubt I still waited for my food. I got chicken Alfredo. The chicken was dry and had no flavoring. It was like if they put it on a George Forman without seasoning. The needles and sauce taste like microwave leftover. I also got cheesy broccoli soup. The soup had no broccoli in it, it just had the top shaving of broccoli in it with a lot of oil and just melted cheese. I also got a pice of cake that was so dry I cold defiantly tell it was not fresh. If you want fresh good food this is not the place to go! I personally fell like this is a true kitchen nightmare! Ordered a delivery thru Grub Hub on 3 separate occasions and they were all messed up. Between putting gravy on items that were ordered without, missing food from the order, failing to deliver any drinks and then saying that the chicken tenders didn't come with fries even though their menu says they do. When we called to tell them we spent $70 dollars and they were missing items they basically did nothing about satisfying our complaint. $8.00 for 3 tenders is quite outrageous. read more

Pegasus is a totally legitimate diner, always o.k. But most likely never, ever better. Open 24/7/365 (sad for those employees that have to work major holidays), that's my first thought, having worked in restaurants all my life). And having owned one. I ordered two eggs sunny side up with Jimmy Dean sausage, passable. My wife ordered a Reuben-it really sucked. I keep trying to tell her don't order deli sandwiches in diners, order them only in delis! Even in delis they might suck. The corned beef was sliced 4 times thicker than it should have been. Plus, of course it sucked. Once you've had a really great Reuben it ruins your ability to tolerate a bad one. Anyway, fast, polite service, pleasant server (the hostitute was ornery, but overall, just what you would expect. Would I go back? Maybe, for breakfast only. They have one of those "we have everything" menus, gyros, Italian, Asian...but nothing is really good. read more

I am giving a star only because our waitress was clearly upset, yet remained kind and attentive to us, and was very apologetic about our wait (when she didn't have to be because it was not her fault). My fiancé and I came in for dinner around 6:15 tonight and ended up waiting almost two hours for our food. We got our appetizer and our soup/salad but ended up having to take our dinners to go because I work very early and had to go home to sleep. I work in food service and could tell it was the kitchen and NOT the waitress that was at fault - I have been there and done that countless times and feel very bad for the waitress, whose other customers may not be as understanding. We have never had a bad experience here before, but this one is enough for us to permanently cross Pegasus off our list. It's never a good sign when the back of house is willing to throw the front of house under the bus like that. read more
