    Texas BBQ Chicken Sandwich
    Michael B.

We got served immediately on a Sunday at noon. The waitress was knowledgeable about the kitchen. The ambiance was cookie cutter traditional Greek-American diner like Omega. There was several slot machines right behind us and the tables next to us were about a foot too close. There was a couple odd customers. The Creamy chicken soup was pretty good, comfort soup. The Texas BBQ Chicken Sandwich I liked but the bottom Texas bread got soggy from the heat and everything somewhat fell apart. The amount of chicken and onions were great, although it was somewhat uneven BBQ slobbered on. Good but not fond dining. The fries were very, very crispy. $14 The Greek skillet was fine. $11 Chicken fajitas had red peppers and typical.

More than eight years ago, I wrote a review that definitely needs an update. Pegasus is my favorite restaurant to go to for lunch or breakfast. Their kitchen rocks. The food is outstanding and always consistent. Portions are hearty and the quality of the product is the best. Specials every day on the menu and on their chalk board. Sandwiches are thick and burgers are juicy, always coming the way it is ordered. Their entree salads are the best in MKE, IMHO. Breakfasts or lunch, one can order a side of fruit instead of fries/potatoes, etc. The fruit is always cut up cantaloupe and honeydew in a cup. Coffee is excellent! The servers here are professional and friendly. If you sit at the counter, you'll see what I mean. They look at and make sure they are getting what their customer's asked for before serving. They prepare the dishes for service with care and efficiency. Pegasus always has fresh bakery items; cakes, cheese cakes, baklavah, etc., all of which are the highest quality. The restaurant is full of comfortable leather booths and large tables that are very comfortable. The restaurant has plenty of on site parking, but street parking is also abundant. I highly recommend Pegasus!

I have been here to dine in, had food delivered, & stopped in for take out. The staff has always been friendly and wrap my to go soups with care. Chicken dumpling soup is my favorite along with their gyros. I have eaten here with friends and family and highly recommend for good tasting foods!

This is quickly becoming my favorite go-to when I order Grub-Hub. They have such a huge menu, everything you could want. Breakfast is served all day. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers. For dinners, they have Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Greek Specialties, Chicken dinners. Friday Fish Fry, It was a tough choice between the Pasta and the Meatloaf today. I went with the pasta, it had chicken and shrimp, spinach and mushrooms tossed in alfredo sauce with garlic bread on the side

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans.

The little puffy donuts they give you when you sit down are delightful and a different touch. We had the Nutella crepes, pancakes, eggs and bacon. This is all pretty standard stuff of course, but all executed very well and blindingly fast. One small criticism was the distribution of Nutella on the crepes - it seemed like there was too much at first, but we believe its because the crepes were folded and then Nutella and fruit were added. It might be a nice touch to spread some of the Nutella on the crepes before folding? Either way, the flavors were nice, fruit seemed fresh and the crepes were well made - not paper thin and also not doughy. Service was super friendly and welcoming.

The ambiance is chill and the restaurant is always busy. There was a short wait time. Not too bad. What a treat! We ordered the Biscoff Loukoumades, but this time we didn't get the complimentary order. We then ordered all water and one coffee. Later ordered a Honey Blossom which we never received. Our entrees were the Pork Belly Skillet worth Berry Mascarpone Pancakes (less cream and loaded with fruit), a Texas Burger with fries and a Gyro Panni. Usually we are thrilled and the food is great, today they really enjoyed their meals but something tasted off with the pork belly skillet. Something was really off from the many times we've visited prior. Either way, the visit was nice and she was happy and that's all that really matters.

Unfortunately the dish has completely changed and not for the better. It now comes with chimichurri on top, brussels sprouts, and seared potato triangles instead of the fries and cream sauce. I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium to medium-well and quite dry. Chimichurri is a strong, acidic sauce that overwhelms the dish rather than complementing it. Leftovers don't feel worth keeping. My boyfriend's duck fat burger was also disappointing -- it came with just fried onions, similar to what you'd get from a basic $5 burger special at Camino, I thought I remembered it at least came with lettuce and tomato. The bartender also had dirty dishes clutter non stop on the bar despite there being 2 tables in there the entire time, and seemed noticeably distracted/off compared to our usual visits.

Everyone we came across was genuinely nice and welcoming, which always makes a difference. I ordered the apple French toast with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs...everything was really good. No complaints there at all. Now let's talk drinks, the Mimosa flight is a must-try. It was $25 and came with about 6-7 different flavors to pick from, all flavorful and surprisingly strong (in a good way). I do wish I had known about their $16 unlimited mimosas on Saturdays, that would've been a nice bonus, but the flight was definitely still worth it. Overall, it's a great brunch spot with good food, great drinks, and an even better atmosphere. If I'm ever back in Milwaukee, this is definitely a place I'd visit again.

The food and service has always been good. Today, we ordered Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa, Corned Beef Hash, and sides of hashbrowns and 2 pancakes (instead of toast). The Chilaquiles were very good and the over easy eggs were perfect. The carnitas were tender and nicely seasoned. The housemade corned beef cubes were tender and the diced pan fried potatoes had a nice latin seasoning blend. I just wish the hash had diced bell peppers and onions. I also wish the poached eggs I asked for with the corned beef hash were cooked properly. I was expecting the type of poached eggs that are like small balloons waiting to be popped so the egg yolk oozes out over the corned beef hash. These poached eggs were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, but tasted fine. The hashbrowns were perfect - crispy and tender and properly seasoned! The side of pancakes were fluffy and absorbed the syrup quickly. Overall a good visit. The food was mostly on point, except for the disappointing poached eggs and lack of onions and bell peppers often found in a hash. If I go back, I'll stay away from their benedicts (since poached eggs are not executed correctly, and corned beef hash, and instead stick with the Chilaquiles.

We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.
