I used to love Pei Wei and went on a regular basis years ago when I lived in San Antonio. Granted I haven't been in years but they have definitely gone downhill. First we stood at the counter for a little while before someone came up to us. There was a guy cleaning the tables and he could've let us know that someone would be right with us but he did not. I didn't think he would be the one taking our order but he was so that made it even worse that he didn't acknowledge us. He took our order and I asked for brown rice and he gave me white rice but I just ate it because he didn't charge me for it. I ordered the Mongolian beef which was always my go to but the meat had a funny after taste. We also got some of the Thai donuts for dessert to try and they tasted like they were fried in old oil. Lastly I got iced tea to drink and it kinda grossed me out how dirty the tea machine and urns were. It just made me wonder how dirty the kitchen equipment was if the tea urns and machine were that dirty and they are on display for all the guests to see. All I can say is do better Pei Wei. I won't be coming back here again.

Visited for a quick dinner. The service was great, I had a coupon on the app for buy 2 get one free, so aside from a great deal, we had a great experience.

Delicious food. Pei Wei has something for everybody. Their signature dishes are big enough for two meals. It's a great place to order to-go.

After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

I didn't feel like studying the menu, so asked the cashier what he recommended. He said the symphony box was his favorite so that's what i ordered. The symphony box didn't disappoint! The chicken was probably some of the best i've had, and the egg rolls were also delicious. I ordered mine with fried rice which was tasty as well. The inside is set up so you pay/order, get a number, self seat yourself, and they bring your food out once it's ready. There's some cool arcade games along the left wall. Would definitely come back here again if i'm in the area to try something else! It seems really popular among the locals for as busy as it was when i stopped in for lunch on a weekday.

I had the Filet Fusion Taco that had filet, cilantro, tomatoes, shredded cheese and spicy mayo (I held the onions.) They were really good, juicy and the spicy mayo had a little kick. We love the food here, just wish the customer service was a bit more helpful. No one is rude. It just feels like they're focused on getting the food out rather than answering questions. For me, service is part of the overall experience. One example, the menu doesn't list ingredients for the shaking beef banh mi. I asked what was in it and got a pretty vague answer like "beef" and a few other items. When it came out, it had sour cream, which wasn't mentioned. I can eat it, just not my preference, so it would've been nice to know upfront. * Garlic wings - according to my wife, absolutely amazing * Pork & egg banh mi - really good and fully loaded * Egg rolls - good size and fried perfectly * Char siu pork stir fried noodles - nice kick from the black pepper * Shrimp fried rice - simple but flavorful * Shaking beef banh mi - different from what I usually get (with rice), still tasty overall The inside is tight and not really suited for big groups--more of a quick in-and-out kind of place.

I ordered the stir fried noodle with Sweet chili wings and to pork tacos that are the size of a size 6 in a woman's shoe. The wait for online orders is about a 25-30 minutes as it is a tiny kitchen, serving HUGE flavors. The place is always popping with guest enjoying their libations and soaking it up with the cuisine. Small, outside seating available with nice couches and bar tables to feast. I highly recommend if you haven't partook already. Love the ambiance, love the people. I typically order pork XLB, chili wontons, cucumber salad and then maybe another steamed dumpling or two. I stuck with that and tried what was offered here. Passionfruit cucumber was... very strange. I was not ready for it. I did not like it, nor did my wife whom I took left overs home to. The pork XLB were some of the best I've had in Houston. I'll be back for those alone. Pork, shrimp, chive spicy sour dumplings were also very good though they should thin the wrapper more. Little gummy on the wrapper by the time it soaks in the sauce. The curry chicken and potato steamed dumplings were my wild card pick and they were good though there were multiple pieces of cartilage in them that was unpleasant to pick out of my mouth. On the whole I'll be back.
