Today we had a catered lunch. The food was delicious from soup , boneless pork, dumplings. To main course of Dragon/Phoenix, sauté vegetables, and one I haven't had in a long time lobster sauce with shrimp. Foodie added mushie pork, and Singapore noodles. My guest loved the lunch. Complements from all it gets no better friends are worth a great meal Peking House came through for us. Worth 5 stars for great catering.

Been looking for a new Chinese restaurant to go to. I decided to try this one a couple weeks ago and have been going ever since. But tonight there was a bug in my sesame chicken. Guess I have to start looking for a new place to go too...definitely will not be going back here

This is suppose to be pork fried dumplings. It was literally drench in oil, the dumpling had a soggy wheat bread texture.

Not as good as it used to be. Years ago by far one of the best around. Soup tastes watered down most nights

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

What separates this takeout place on Broadway from the others in Nassau County, Long Island New York? A) A great warm vibe and a beautiful & simple decor that makes you pause and sit and enjoy the food . B) Really tasty, fresh and hot food. C) Lot of love from the owners. I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth and the care of the kind lady who greeted me, smiled and genuinely spent time with me asking about my likes and then ensured my fried tofu n broccoli with extra garlic sauce was perfect. Our group ate here on a Friday night. Usually this place is a treat (there are some nights where I…read morewould do horrible things for their table noodles), but this experience was not the best... the food itself was delicious. Noodles on point, shrimp wonton soup excellent, and the shrimp with broccoli entree was pretty good too (albeit a little heavier than I anticipated). Our dissatisfaction came from the service. INCREDIBLY slow given the restaurant wasn't packed. It took an unacceptable amount of time from when we sat down to when our waiter even arrived, and even longer to get the complimentary noodles and tea. Even when we finally placed our order, it took over 30 minutes for a couple of appetizers and 4 entrees, one of which they got wrong... and what was probably most irritating is that the staff spent more time and attention cleaning a table that just finished eating, rather than attending to diners still in the restaurant. And it was after 8pm when they close at 9, it wasn't like another party was coming in for that table. I love this place man, but ya gotta be better.

When entering, on the right side there are lots of tables and booths surrounded by window cases full of pretty teapots. A clay warrior statue in the front and back stand guard. On the left side is a partially open kitchen and the takeout register. The extensive menu covers various basic Chinese and Japanese selections. We shared the shrimp and spinach wonton soup to start. The broth was wonton, the spinach wasn't as soft as expected due to its inclusion of the stems, and the shrimp was a negligible part of the dumpling it was wrapped in. My son enjoyed their chicken and broccoli as well as their steamed vegetable dumplings. My wife and I enjoyed their 6 steamed crystal shrimp dumplings appetizer. So far, so good, but the big disappointment came with the boneless ribs appetizer. The sauce was good, but the pork was barely edible because it tasted as if it had been pre-cooked, left to harden and dry, before being re-heated and served ... not fresh and way too chewy. I ordered it because another Yelper had recommended them, so maybe that dish isn't consistently what it should be? I had also been to Jani's about ten days earlier and it was much better. Me and the cousin I was with split the Lake Tung Ting Shrimp and Moo Shu Beef, so I can recommend both of those. On weekends, a reservation is a good idea.
