FYI No longer has buffet . That's not a issue we wanted to order off the menu anyway. Business looks like it has fallen on hand times. After the past few years that is understandable. Decided to do a take out order, I got the the honey chicken combo and want to substitute the rice with butter potatoes and they wouldn't do that and to top it off the chicken was under cooked. I called them and they wouldn't answer, so I guess I'm out $10.95 for my food. And that's another thing if I want my potatoes I would have to pay the same amount for the combo that I got. Not much as far as the restaurant goes, but the best take-out in Chillicothe. I miss the buffet, but they don't lack on options or flavor.

Generic and cheap . The food was not what was shown and was bland . The chicken was freezer burned and rubbery . The pork fried rice was more like fried rice . Very little pork at all. General Tsos was clearly frozen chicken (basically nuggets), and the beef in the beef w broc was... the strangest beef if ever tasted. 2 stars just because the broccoli and white rice were pretty decent. read more

Orders a quart of chicken and broccoli. Paid went to run errands. Picked up our food and was given just a small amount. Also given rice in a styrofoam cup and not the typical paper container you get from Chinese restaurants. The rice portion was exceedingly small too. What a rip off. Born Chillicothe 1959.... John & Ruth Carson were my grandparents and since then been all around the USA had many excellent Chinese food tummies.... hoped this wonderful family owned restaurant would not disappoint...it did not!!! I will never step foot back in this restaurant. I got the buffet and got 1 plate of food and started puking because of health problems and couldn't eat my plate of food. I had cancer and the chemo still makes me sick. I ask him if I could take the plate of food with me because I was sick and puking and couldn't eat it and he told me no, $7.75 wasted. Rating stops at Hot and Sour soup. I have been here several times and it has got worse and worse through the years. Now, I don't think I can handle it any longer. I have noticed less patrons through the years. Every thing is sticky in this place from the floor up. They must clean it with maple syrup. The bathrooms are about as nice as a gas station's outdoor restroom. The food is usually minimal to none in the pans b/c the lack of business. Tables are never cleaned off and out of the whole dining room, only about 1/3 are suitable to sit at. Everything is easily fixed if the people cared but I don't believe they do and therefore it's sad to say their time is limited. read more

Great food and good prices ,the staff was very nice,I ordered two combos ,the food can eat 3-4 people. I like it here.

I had their chicken in garlic sauce. It was delicious! The vegetables were steamed and fresh. The employees were very friendly. Portion was a good size. I will eat here again for sure. Next time I'll take a picture to post. read more

Not only the best Chinese food in Chillicothe but by far the cleanest Chinese buffet restaurant in town. A great mix of sweet and spicy food to please everyone but if you go in the winter they like to keep the heat set very low in the dining area. Probably the best general tso's chicken I have ever eaten. read more

The food is very good and service is fast. There is no real wait to be seated and you receive your drinks in a very timely manner. Sometimes if you go between the lunch crowd and dinner crowd your food will not be as fresh. The waitresses are very attentive and will usually clear your plates as you go. read more

Me and my family love this place. This is the nicest most well kept Chinese restaurant in Chillicothe. The food there is not a lot of selection but the food is great tasting every time we eat there. The people there are very nice, helpful, and friendly. The interior could use an upgrade but the place is nice and there not really busy so you could eat there and not have a big wait. read more

After years of patronizing this establishment, I am VERY disappointed at my experience with them today. I work at the Adena Hospital Business Office, and another coworker and I ordered lunch. She ordered Hunan chicken and I ordered their Sweet and Sour chicken. When the food arrived, her sauce had spilled out of the container into the bag and I had absolutely NO sauce for my chicken at all. They usually put the sauce in a small Styrofoam bowl but there was nothing in the bag or on the chicken. They included soy sauce, duck sauce and hot mustard packets which all tasted awful with the chicken. I called and asked them to bring the sauce they forgot to include. The lady on the phone at first told me they would bring extra sauce next time and I told her I was not okay with eating dry chicken. So she told me they would bring the sauce but that it would be 30-40 minutes because they were busy. I bit my tongue and decided that I could wait a little while longer. An hour passes and still no sauce. At this point I am very hungry (I am 7 months pregnant) and getting impatient. I called back and the lady told me they were too busy to bring the sauce to me. I got upset and tried to explain this was not okay when she handed the phone to a man (not sure if he was the manager or the delivery man) and I explained my issue. He apologized and said they were really busy, and I told him that I understood that because I used to work in restaurants as well. The lady was yelling in the background, telling him that she put the sauce in the bag with the order. He thought I ordered EXTRA sauce, and I explained that I wasn't missing extra sauce, but that I had NONE at all, and that my chicken was dry. He tried to convince me to eat it as is, which was not okay with me. Then he tried to offer me a $2 credit toward my next order (I paid $8 for the meal including delivery and tip), which I obviously was not okay with either. They obviously did not care at all that they made a mistake, were refusing to make it right and that I had to wait an hour to eat my lunch after being lied to (since the lady said they were going to deliver the sauce and then didn't), only to be told that I was going to have to either eat dry chicken or get a whole new lunch. I ended up finding some packets of Sweet and Sour sauce from McDonalds laying around and used that, but obviously wasn't the same. Needless to say, several of my coworkers overheard my conversation with these people and now my hospital's business office is no longer going to be doing business with them. read more

Great Chinese restaurant, regardless of the small amount of people and small buffet choice this place is tasty! No other way of putting it it's just down right good, the teriyaki chicken is a little more spicy than teriyaki and the place looks generic. But get past the cover and you're in for a good lunch! 4 stars only due to the absolute generic decor. read more

Ok, guys. Let's talk about this place. Let's talk about the sadness that filled my heart when I ate here. There are other reviews about this place which say it is clean. That's true - it is a pretty clean dining area, I will agree to that. I don't know about the bathrooms, sorry, I didn't have to potty . Anyway, on to the food. I chose to eat from the buffet even though the selection was super small. I had chicken teriyaki, sautéed mushrooms, noodles, white rice, crab rangoons, fried scallops, and an egg roll. (Not a lot of each, now... I'm not THAT fat!) Everything had a weird taste. The rangoons were saturated with fry oil, the scallops were way over cooked (probably from sitting n the buffet table for so long), the chicken teriyaki tasted more like Chinese five spice than teriyaki, and the egg roll tasted freezer burnt. I was thoroughly disappointed and felt sorry for the restaurant owners. I was the only one in there and it's probably because their food is so bad. It gets 2 stars because dessert was good. It has been nearly 10 years since I have eaten here and now I remember why. There is a good variety but the quality of the food is questionable. I wandered over here for lunch after panda pantry in central center was closed (owners taking a short vacation in May) but I still wanted Chinese food. I think the Peking gets lots of walking traffic from the downtown area, but I think I will rethink my decision in the future. Despite the small selection at Panda Pantry, the food is always fresh. I could barely get through my first plate at Peking just because the fried rice tasted as if it had been reheated and the chicken (both sweet/sour and general tso) was too rubbery for my taste. The soda had an odd flavor so I dumped mine and tried a different soda but I think the cup might have had a soapy residue? Steamed white rice in a cooker was also available and that was better than the fried rice and I did find the Japanese chicken, pork with mushrooms, and the peppered chicken to be more enjoyable than the other entrees I initially sampled. There were a handful of customers in the store (about a half dozen) and a few came in to carry out orders, too, but it was (like Panda Pantry) not very busy at lunch time for a Monday. read more
