I ordered the Pekoe Special and Foxy Brown. Took about 5-10 minutes for my order to clear, and I was on my way out. Service was fast and friendly. No complaints here but positive feedback. Love that they opened a new location closer to where I'll be moving to. I love that they have split cups so that if you're feeling indecisive, you can order two drinks instead of just one. This location is in a plaza and I usually don't have trouble finding parking when I go. My favorite to go drinks are the Pekoe Special, Foxy Brown, and the Pretty in Pink. The strawberry hearts in the Pretty in Pink drink are my favorite toppings. Their boba isn't the best to write home about, but it's consistently good so I appreciate that as well. I usually get the drinks at around 75% sweet since they lean towards the sweeter side (but I don't mind them at 100% when I am seriously craving something sweet). Overall a solid choice if you want something on the sweeter side. read more

I've been religiously going to Pekoe for 2.5 years or so to their white rd location. I love their pretty in pink milk tea drink. It's the safest if you are going there for the first time. Their menu has unique names and well written descriptions. Their services have always been fast and very responsive. On a busy day, it's crowded with mostly cool kids and teens lining up. A nice boba tea place. Good location which is busy. I don't quite understand the tables and bar stool chairs. Your feet dangle and its a little uncomfortable without a bar to stabilize with your foot. I think they need to rethink the chairs. And sometimes their drinks are a little off. Sometimes you come in and order your drinks tastes perfect. Then your next visit is opposite and your drink tastes a little off. Either too much ice or something was left out in the mix. Pekoe has finally opened the second location! I'm so happy because I don't have to drive as far to get my boba fix! I like how the vibe of this store is different then the aborn location. Both locations has that bar/lounge type of vibe but I love how this location seems more elevated/luxurious from the lit up marble bar to the bright crystal chandeliers! A few of my favorite drinks would definitely have to be Life's a Peach, Yellow Mango, Foxy Brown and Black Dragon! Pekoe is the best boba shop in the Bay Area! Oooo ahhh omg, okay that's enough drooling over the decor of this place LOL we all can agree this place is gorgeous. It's sleek, it's shiny, it be looking very boujie but I gotta say I dig this look more than the original. Its mirrors and the pictures on Yelp make the space look bigger than it actually is but tbh if you're familiar with the area then the space is pretty much the same as its neighbors the Little Caesars or the King Eggroll. On the same strip is also a donut shop, a laundromat, and a 7-11. There was a bit of a line that seemed to move too slow for how stuffy and hot it was in there...wondering if their AC is up and running yet. As some already mentioned, there is a self order kiosk. It was free when we walked in but here's the thing, there basically looked like there was one line. I wasn't sure if we waited in line and then if we wanted to use the kiosk when our turn was up we would or if the line is out the door but the kiosk is free we could walk past all those people in line. Might be a good idea to make that clearer. Cashier was a familiar friendly face from the original Pekoe. Btw that's how you do it, get the staff from the old store to come work the new store with the newbies so your grand opening doesn't sabotage itself! I ordered the split cup of pretty in pink and let's get high while the bf ordered his Life's a Peach. I thought mine was okay, the pretty in pink was on point but LGH was a bit off. Bf didn't like his at all so guess he'll be returning to tisane or the other Pekoe. As far as looks this one beats the other by a mile but taste and consistency aren't quite on par yet. TISANE IS B E T T E R. The wait is longer here (even though this place is a lot less crowded?), the drinks aren't as good, and the service is meh. I came here on a Saturday night to satisfy my boba cravings. I've been to the original pekoe location before so I wanted to come here to compare it to its competitors-Tisane. There was only two people ahead of us but we waited about 30 minutes total with ordering our drinks and waiting for it to come out. My boyfriend got the Pretty in Pink and to be honest it tasted a little too sweet and artificial. I tasted more strawberry syrup than actual tea. I got the split cup with the White Winter and the TMT. I asked the cashier if the TMT was basically a jasmine milk tea infused with taro and she said it was. But when I tried the TMT, it tasted like straight up green tea with a drop of taro flavoring. It wasn't sweet at all, and it was very bland. The White Winter was way too sweet too, and I felt like I had to pour an extra cup of milk in it to even it out. Overall I was a little disappointed with my visit. I may be biased because I think Tisane is better all around -- they let you sample drinks; all their drinks are delicious AND fresh; and their service/wait time is unbeatable. However, when it comes to SJ boba, I think pekoe is a little lower on my list now! read more

Do you really live in the Bay Area if you've never been to Pekoe?? Lucky for us, there's two locations now!! Love the chill ambiance of this store and the impeccable design. The marble floor is gorgeous and the chandelier bulbs are quite breathtaking. Service - Cashiers are always so friendly and welcoming! I'm an indecisive person so I take forever to order, but they're super genuine and patient. One of the reasons why Pekoe stand out from the rest of milk tea places in San Jose is that they have samples. I love that you can try all the new drinks they have, without the commitment of getting a whole drink. Some of my fav drinks - Manly Melons, Mario and Luiychee, and Life's a Peach. Very refreshing and perfect for this weather! If you're feeling adventurous they also have smoothies as well, I recommend Let That Man-Go or Holla at Yo-Gurrt. PS - This location has crushed ice! Came here after a big meal at claw shack. The first thing i noticed was the club vibe going on. The second thing i noticed was 3 grandpas drillings holes into the floor. MAN THEY WERE LOUD. I dont know why they didnt close the shop for a couple of hours for repairs and improvement. I had a Pokoe special. It is filled with a bunch of stuff and is very yummy. Their menu is filled with so many unique names and flavors. Even one of their drinks is in a shape of a lightbulb. I also noticed there was very limited seating. Probably around 16 seats in total. I used to love Pekoe, but my past three trips here have really ruined it for me. Their drinks are starting to become inconsistent. I usually order the same drink and some days it's sweeter (I always ask for 25% sweet) and some days it's more watered down. The worst part...is the boba. In all 3 of my most recent boba runs here, I've asked for honey boba in my drinks. EVERY TIME, the boba has been extremely hard and it even hurts my mouth to chew it down. I always go around 9pm which isn't even near their closing time yet so there really isn't an excuse for the boba being this hard. I have experience with making boba and I know it's hard because their boba has been sitting out for too long. Please consider tossing out boba that has been sitting for hours and hours (or get a boba warmer). The quality of your boba is suffering now and I'm not sure when/if I'll be back. read more

I love how this store prove 2 topping pink heart jellies and boba! I wished it had more tea flavor and can adjust my sweetness to 25%. I'm so glad Pekoe has two locations now, finally got to visit this branch and I am glad I did! If it's your first time at Pekoe, Foxy Brown is a great go to. It's actually quite addicting, so drinker beware! It's located in a pretty busy complex, service wise the staff are trained really well and you can tell they are genuine people. I'm so glad that North SJ has a Pekoe location now! Went on a Sunday night, so can't really judge the crowd... but there were still a decent amount of people! As usual, there weren't many seats at this location, so I'm not disappointed, as I've been to the other location. However, like I said, I went at a less popular time (vs. Friday night) and there was ample seating available! However, the other location goes for more of a lounge/upscale club table service vibe, whereas this one goes for a classy bar feel, with marble flooring throughout, and a lit marble counter for the cashier! With marble flooring throughout, I would definitely recommend still adding a nonslip rug in the front to avoid falling hazards, as I slipped a little when I entered. The drinks are of the same caliber as its other location - but this location uses crushed ice vs. cubed. Just something small I noticed! I'm pretty excited that there is finally a closer location, and will definitely be frequenting here often. read more

I got the Foxy Brown - asam milk tea 25% sweet with boba - to go because of the virus Maybe it's just me or I am not a fan of asam. I am used to matcha lattes and oolong milk teas because I am the the type of person who likes more of the tea flavor and not so much sweet, but a good harmony of tea flavor with a hint of sweetness and the Foxy Brown was super sweet even at 25% sweet. The boba also had a weird floral after taste and I personally didn't enjoy it. For the price you pay, I don't think this place is worth it so you can skip this place. read more

Not exactly my cup of tea. I can see why people may like this, but I wasn't a fan of the flavor infused teas. I got their pekoe special, which was lavender infused. You can definitely smell and taste the lavender. The boba was nice and chewy. Service was friendly. I went during off-peak hour so I don't know if they get really crowded or not. I was the only one in the store when I went. The cashier asked if it was my first time and gave me a few suggestions. She offered some samples, but I declined. The interior is more "moody" and neon. Almost like a lounge. If you're looking for standard flavors, I'd probably go somewhere else, but if you want to try something different, I'd give it a shot. read more

Pekoe has been a favorite boba spot of mine for a while, so I was excited to hear that they had opened up a second location. It's a bit further for me, but I had to come and check it out. I was wow'ed right away from the new look of the this second location. Its probably the bougie-est looking boba spot I've been to lol. Really liked the look of the marble counter and the light fixtures. They didn't have many places to sit though, so it really seems more like a grab and go kind of place Menu wise, I was happy to see that they still had my favorite drinks from the first store. Just Dew It and Manly Melons are always a go-to for me. The drinks tasted like they do from the original store, which is good! You can really taste the flavors in the drinks, and the boba I had in my Just Dew It was soft and sweet too. It is on the sweet side though. I recommend getting samples if you're coming here for the first time! All in all I would recommend either Pekoe store to friends if you're trying to get your milk tea fix. Love the fact that they use a vegan creamer so that my vegan wife and daughter can enjoy 'milk tea'. INTERIOR: first walked in and thought whoaa this place is not the same pekoe vibe as the other but it's extremely nice inside from the lit up marble counter to the pretty chandeliers. it's super clean and smells nice too. a little smaller than the first location so it's more like a grab n go than a hang n stay. DRINKS: the drinks r consistent with the ones at the first location; still very flavorful n tasty. there menus have changed a bit but i'm still able to create my own drink if i want to and adjust my sweetness n ice too. my favorite is their yung mungy (mung bean drink) or their mario & luiychee which r both new! PRICE: it's still 5.50 for a reg cup or 6.50 if u want the split. honestly 5.50 is reasonable n there r other boba places that charge the same or more for a smaller cup. but this is worth my money! OVERALL: i rlly like this new location, i'd come here again for SURE. the staff there r very friendly and accommodating. everyone should come and check this place out at least once ! read more
