I requested a full inspection ($150 quoted over the phone). By 10:30, after about 3 hours, my car had only been moved into the garage with the windows left down. No inspection had been done, no updates were given unless I asked, and the vehicle was never lifted or properly inspected. My car is otherwise very smooth, with only an occasional minor front-end squeak, no steering issues or shaking. Despite that, the staff member with tattoos (possibly the owner) began suggesting major issues and speaking as if he already knew the problem without any inspection or test drive. It felt like he was trying to guide the narrative toward serious repairs before anything had actually been done, which came across as unprofessional and dishonest. At that point I chose to leave. Mark apologized, agreed the situation wasn't handled properly, and confirmed I did not need to pay since no inspection had been completed. While leaving, the staff member with tattoos implied that "work" had already started, but nothing had been done on the vehicle at all, it hadn't been lifted or inspected in any way. Overall, aside from Mark, the experience felt disorganized and not transparent, and I won't be returning.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

And lied about least getting me a used turbo. A few months ago I took my 2018 for focus RS here for some electrical diagnostics. ONLY diagnostics. Background: I was having issues with the O2 sensor giving a random voltage and took it to many mechanics who have changed the sensor many times. Having taken it here, just based on their "good reviews" I wanted to see if there were l was an issue perhaps in the harness. They took my car and as I was trying to explain prior diag I had done, they brushed it off and tried to get me going. Forward to a few days later and I finally get a response saying they wanted to do further diagnostics and needed to move parts as the engine bay was fairly tight. Fast forward a free days they were unable to find anything and were rushing for me to pay and leave with the car. Immediately the car sounds funny, and they said "might be a boost leak" wasn't leaking before, so why would you all just fix it then... I ended up taking to a proper shop and that's when they had found a screw driver jammed into the turbine and destroyed my recently rebuilt turbo. I immediately go to their shop and demand they pay for the repair, because obviously. The owner comes to talk to me like some sketchy sales man and say "tell you what you remind me of my son, and I feel bad for you ... Even though it wasn't our fault I will find you a used turbo." My new turbo... And you want to give me a used one? After some back and forth and more frustration I asked to simply be paid the price for what a used one would cost which he says shouldn't be more than $300, he refuses says he'll find one. Look up the costs of a focus RS turbo Run from this shop they are scum on earth and don't deserve any business, and to everyone else you don't deserve to have their hands on anything you might own.

That kind of loyalty speaks volumes, and now I know why. My van was having intermittent trouble starting in cold mornings or rainy weather. Diagnostics on a 25+ year old vehicle can be a nightmare, but this father-and-son team (Richard and Jason) were fearless. They initially replaced the ignition switch harness (expertly sourcing a high-quality aftermarket part since the dealer part is discontinued) to address a theft deterrent system issue. When the problem persisted due to the van's age and complexity, most shops would have thrown their hands up or started throwing expensive parts at it. Instead, Richard and Jason were tenacious. They were totally willing to have another go at it. Richard actually consulted with a specialist and traced the root cause to microscopic cracks in the soldering on a specific fuse/circuit board. They realized that cold weather was causing the cracks to contract and break the connection. They sent the board out for re-soldering, and it worked. My van now starts up on the first try, every time, regardless of the temperature. Best of all? They honored their original quotes throughout the process. They managed my expectations perfectly, didn't inflate the price when the work got complicated, and treated me with total honesty. If you have a tricky problem or an older vehicle, do not hesitate to bring it to Richard and Jason.
