And my car was ready! Took about 30 minutes. I felt good! Cared for ... not put through the wringer. Throwing my hard earned money away... They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

During that entire time, Jesse never contacted me to ask whether the part had arrived or to follow up on the work I had already paid him to do. I eventually had to reach out to him myself. Over the following three weeks, I sent multiple text messages and called several times, all of which were ignored. After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

I called Pops and Sons and not only did they give me a fair price, they let me come same day. I got there within 15 minutes of calling, and I was out of there in about an hour. Very reasonable pricing and all of the workers there were extremely friendly. They even had a taco truck there that day for their shop an another shop and they gave me free tacos while I waited for my car to be worked on. The tacos were amazing btw. I definitely plan to continue to come here in the future.

The place looks like it went out of business by the looks of the grounds. Weeds growing out of the pavement, random trash and debris all over the place. However, I decided to give him a chance and wait to see if maybe he's a few minutes late. When he doesn't appear by 10:30 I call, no answer. I call again at 10:45, once again no answer. At 11:15 I give up and head home. At 12:15 he finally calls back because he just got to the garage and tells me I can come back. I let him know I'm already on my way home and to far to come back. This is a classic example of a great idea run by someone who is to lazy to actually run a business.

He didn't bother diagnosing the vehicle properly. Just to run the engine and magically decided it's the timing chain. Claimed he didn't want to touch the car and refused service. Turns out it was the pulley that was severely cracked and needed replacement (not the timing chain). I've been to many mechanics and this guy is the worst by far. If he didn't want to diagnose a certain brand of vehicle, he could've told me that during the initial conversation over the phone.

My previous go-to mechanic tripped me with a quote of $575 for the valve gasket cover replacement (I assumed they meant the entire thing, not the rubber seal). So I went to this place due to reasonable prices. Their labor prices are also more competitive. The only downsize is that they don't do appointment. Otherwise; so far so good.

I'm so thankful ChatGPT directed me to Tire Outlet. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with smiles and employees who were eager to help. The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. Seriously... who does that these days?! I was blown away. That level of honesty and integrity is incredibly rare. They could have easily sold me a new tire, especially since my tires are difficult to find, but instead they fixed the actual problem and sent me on my way. I was about two hours from home, and ended up with a hole in my tire that needed fixing before I could drive back. They told me to arrive by 6:30 p.m. since they closed at 7, and I got there just in time. While the actual replacement process was smooth and the tires look fine, I only found out from the paperwork afterward that they were supposedly "balanced". Unfortunately, the car hasn't been driving right since. The steering feels off, it's jerky, and turns are more difficult than they should be. Clearly, something is wrong with the balancing or the installation. I'm concerned that because I arrived so close to closing time, the job may have been rushed. If they can't do a thorough job that late in the day, they really should stop taking new customers earlier rather than rushing through the work. In short, while the staff was accommodating in terms of timing, the end result was that my car doesn't drive properly now. For that reason, I wouldn't go back.

He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

We communicated via text and phone but during drop off and pick up the main guy wasn't around. He shares the garage with someone else and that person helped us when the main guy wasn't there (sorry I can't remember his name). We received such great help at Union Auto Service that i had to write about it. As luck would have it, our car broke down in Anaheim on our way home from San Diego, to make matter worse, it was almost midnight and everybody was closed at the time. We found Union Auto online, so I called the Auto Club to tow the car over to them to look at the next day, well AAA dispatch the 800# suggested that it might be best if we went with a AAA Approved Place, so she looked in the area we were stuck at...and what do you know, the dispatch lady found out they were AAA Approved anyway. Towing people were there within minutes and i dropped off both my car and keys overnight. Next morning I got a call from a young lady that works there, she explained to me the diagnostic process and asked if I needed help with anything else, "As a matter of fact I do" I replied and went on to tell her all about our problems, my wife and I were stuck at a motel nearby, no transportation and no other plans or things to do around here since we were on our way to Seattle, before I knew it, she solved all of our problems, she offered us a loaner car for transportation, suggested Disneyland for the day (and what a great suggestion... My wife and I haven't been there since our graduation) and for the motel, well she said there was a good chance that our car would be done the same day. We got ready quickly, minutes after I called a gentlemen by the name of Louie picked us up at the motel and took us to the shop (the place was super clean), he gave us the loaner and off we went, by noon they called us with the estimate and by 5 our car was ready... amazing. There was only one problem, my wife and I enjoyed our little spontaneous trip to Disneyland so much we wanted to stay for a second day closing time and here is what Louie said: "Don't worry about it, since you're having a blast, just hang on to the loaner for another day and pick up your car tomorrow when you're done"... that was above and beyond the call of duty and we appreciated it very much. We did pick up our car and we are back in Seattle now, it drove great, it truly hasn't driven this good for a few years now, so thank you Louie for the good service and special thanks to the girl at the counter, (I think she said her name was Bianca) for your great suggestions... Here is my story, I will try to keep it brief: My check engine light came on so I took my car to Fullerton Pep Boys. They told me there were 8 things wrong with my car, and that with parts and labor, it was gonna run me $1400+. They seemed unclear as to what the problem was with my car, so I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere. My friend told me about a shop that her entire family swears by, since I am a AAA member, she said I could also get 10% off my repair bill. So I brought my car in to Union Auto Service in Anaheim the following day with the sheet of problems that Pep Boys gave me. They called me after a couple of hours and told me that they had pinpointed one problem that was at the center of all the other problems that the other garage listed, they suggested that I take care of that problem first as the other problems may have just been a by-product of that one problem, besides they pointed out, that the car couldn't have possibly been driving with all those systems affected and not have exhibited other performance issue, which reflected exactly what was going through my mind when I was at the other place. Long story short, Union Auto basically found the one problem with my car, fixed it, and everything now is back to normal. They were able to explain what was wrong in layman's terms and I totally followed everything they were saying. In retrospect, even if I had spent the $1400 at Pep Boys, and got all those parts replaced, I'd still have the SAME PROBLEM, OUCHhhhhh!! In the end, I only spent $390 with my AAA discount included as opposed to $1400+?? Come on, you can't beat that!! And to top it off, my car was ready the very same day. They even called me a couple of times to keep me posted as to the status of the repairs, which I definitely appreciated. I scheduled an appointment over the phone, as I never EVER drive my car up to these places before calling. Tip for everyone out there checking out different car garages. Auto-repair shops will do everything they can to KEEP your car there to get it services, especially if it's a big job. They will scare you into keeping your car there. Anyway after scheduling an appointment I brought my car in on a Wednesday afternoon, The lobby/counter is on the right of the shop, AAA signs and American flags are scattered around the shop. Standing around just looking, Louie called me over to the counter and welcomed me in. I told him what I needed done, and if he remembered me over the phone. He even remembered my name and the situation my car was in. After signing some papers and some other things to get my information in the computer he told me I could take a seat or he could give me a ride if needed. I decided to just call my brother in law and have him pick me up. While waiting for my brother I overheard Louie talking to another costumer, and the type of conversation they were having was that old friend/small town type friendly conversation that felt lost in a big city like Anaheim. Meaning he must've had that costumer come in for multiple services, which made me feel more comfortable leaving my car here. Got an estimated time for when my car would be done, not only was my car done before the estimated time, Louie himself picked me up from my house to take me to the shop. I needed some hoses replaced, and can't say they did a bad job as the car is still running. I hadn't checked Yelp before coming, and was surprised to see some negative reviews. Update!! 2/7/2018 I called Louay and discussed that I was hearing a sound while driving my car. He told me to come in right away and will diagnose it for me with no problem! Being a college student and single mother the time couldn't be perfect! I went in and Louay and his team were so welcoming! I was taken care of and was able to get in and out in no time! The problem was fixed ! Thank you Louay for always treating me like family and helping me with any questions or concerns I have! This is why you have been in business for over 25+ years! You rock!! I was due for another oil change and alignment. Louie and his team not only job the job done but it was done in a timely manner! Love love this place! I was in need of some new front tires and there was a sensor on my back tire that kept going off! I just picked my car last night from Union Auto, it purrs like a kitten, I paid slightly less than what I was quoted and it was ready as promised. The place was very clean and the girl at the counter was very nice. I recently took my car to the "stealership" and was given a long laundry list, to the point that I seriously considered walking out of the waiting room and into their showroom so I can get reacquainted with an old friend of mine named "car note". I don't miss her at all if you asked me. While there at the waiting room, I started chatting with this older lady whom happened to be getting a recall done on her car, after hearing about my car's problems, she said that about 20 years ago, she was in the same predicament as mine and someone else recommended that she takes her car to Union Auto Service, she's been going there ever since. I thought to myself yeah right, in this day and age who would stick with the same mechanic for 20 years. Later at home, while telling my wife this story, she told me: "Jim, you need to try out this place". And now that I have, I can honestly say that I wish I had done so many years ago, people were friendly but firm, they answered all my questions and I was able to get my car back sooner than I thought. My AAA card was good for $50 off and I left with coupons to use in the future...so to that older lady who gave me the referral - Thank you :) read more

I have been needing a tune up since god knows when. I've been having to constantly refill the coolant reservoir on my 96 cadillac for the past couple of years. I saw one of their ads they had noting they were AAA approved. Being a AAA member, I only trust AAA shops as they have to meet certain criteria to maintain AAA status. I took the car in to check the coolant leak and they wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee, but they told me they would waive it if i did major repair. I understood the reason for the fee but scared me at first. They found out not only did I have a leak on my caddy, but that I had some other minor problems. An oil leak, and something else was leaking, I think my power steering. I told Louie, the manager, that I wouldn't be able to make the estimate he had given me originally. Not only did he help me get a reasonable price, he made my car run like when I first bought it some 14 years ago. I no longer have to constantly worry about watching for overheating, which I didn't realize was as stressful as it was until I finally got it fixed. These guys know what they are doing, seems like a family type business, I highly recommend this place. read more

I came in, kind of confused because the counter is located on the right side INSIDE the shop which I thought was different. The place where I thought the counter was is actually the waiting room. I had gone to several other shops prior to coming here. I had several estimates done and none satisfied what I needed done. Louie was so helpful in helping me understand what was wrong. They even keep your old car parts to show you the wear on them to help you understand why they needed to be replaced. Since taking my car I have recommended this place to several others who work in the area. This place will even give you a ride to work if your car needs major repairs. My good friend took her car there and told me about it. How convenient! I can't believe all the poor reviews here as they do not do this place justice. If you can fix your own car why do you take your car to an auto shop and then complain about how you could have done it yourself cheaper? Of course you can! My PT Cruiser overheated nearby, AAA towed it to this place, the place was exceptionally clean, the guy and gal at the counter were very friendly and the work was done on time. But 5 star is for going above and beyond when other shops did not want to bother themselves with my car. I bought my car from a local dealer back in Vegas, he gave me a 1 year warranty but it had to go through a process in which his Master Mechanic must approve the claim, which meant that the shop working on my car had to know what they were doing and can document it with tests and pictures, little did I know that most shops do not want to work that way because they can't make stuff up. Much to my surprise, these guys were on top of it, so much so that the Master Mechanic at the dealer had nothing but praise for them. And to top off, they had my car ready on time for the weekend. Brought in my 2001 330i BMW, which is heavily modified. I normally take my car to a BMW only shop, but decided to try this place out. I had a continued rattling noise coming from the engine when idle. Three other shops were unable to pinpoint the problem. The technician at Union started the car and we listened together, he immediately stated that it was the bushings. I said alright, go ahead and change them. Sure enough that was the problem and I haven't heard the annoying rattling noise since (got my baby back,also helped with my horrible tire wear which I was unaware of). Granted the three other shops I took it to previously for the same problem are BMW or EURO specialty shops and could not figure out the problem, says a lot to me. The prices are not cheap, but the work is quality. If you plan on keeping your car long-term, the quality work will payoff. read more

For what it's worth. I recently visited Union Auto Service not knowing what kind of place it is, considering I've been taken by an auto repair shop more than once in my lifetime. Much to my surprise, the guy there, I think his name was Louie, was one friendly and straight-shooting vato. He was very upfront with me about my old car from the get-go, about what my car needed now, and what I could put off so I didn't spend any money on repairs that can wait. I do have a gripe and that is the waiting room is small and not up to today's entertainment standards, but their great service and excellent pricing not only impressed the you know what out of me, they compelled me to give Union Auto Service some words of encouragement as well as help others know that good, honest reliable and friendly mechanics do exist. read more

Great place, great people; Nothing ruins a Disneyland weekend like a car break down, yet these guys make it seem so simple. They found the problem quickly and the cost was very reasonable, actually less than Repairpal.com's low price for a fuel pump replacement, which I thought was great. They finished my car on time for me to head back home and gave me a nationwide warranty which is good because I live miles away. Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. The waiting room is a little small but smells like coffee, with the rain outside and TV inside, I couldn't help but help myself to a "couple" of coffees. Too bad there isn't a Union Auto in my Los Angeles area. Highly recommend to everyone. read more

I have to be very grateful for Louie helping me with the problems on my 2003 Navigator The fact that Ford dealership here in Fullerton was unable to fix the situation after they installed a new engine was unacceptable. The fact my truck would stop in traffic for no reason was endangering my life on the road. Thank goodness my friend told me about Union Auto. They have worked on my Avalanche as well and have satisfied results every time. The waiting room is clean and accommodating while waiting for repairs to be done also with choices of coffee if that's what you like. I'm a former mechanic and have been a manager for a busy independent auto parts and repair shop on the east coast. Since I moved out here years ago, I go to Union Auto Service for all my car troubles. Although I still enjoy doing the maintenance on my own every now and then, If I can't fix it (or don't have the tools/time) I call Louie at Union Auto Service. I've never had to question his service. He's taken care of my wife's vehicles during the years before we met. I think she still prefers his service and my free time. I had a truck that had been sitting for several years. I was afraid that it would be beyond my means to fix it and to get it to pass the smog check. I had it towed over to their shop by Triple A. The mechanics were very nice and fixed everything and now it runs very well. I thought the cost was very reasonable. When it was fixed, they even sent someone to give me a ride from my home so that I wouldn't have to take an Uber or Taxi over there. I don't live that far away. They could have cheated me, but I think they were very fair. As far as I am concerned, this is where I will take either of my vehicles from now on. read more

Friendly staff, good prices, great service, I just brought a Prius that I was looking to buy for a used vehicle pre-purchase inspection special they have, they seemed to specialize in Toyota Prius Hybrid, they did the entire inspection while I was there, they test drove the car and then ran this entire computer thing and gave me a printed report on it. I ended up buying the car and felt confident in doing so after their inspection. They appeared to have a lot of experience with Hybrid vehicles and even had a few hybrid cars parked in front. I was coming back from Anaheim to LA and my car temp light went on. The Auto Club towed me to Union Auto Service. It was 4:45 and they close at 5 so they obviously could not fix my car then. The owner was so amazing and did not want to leave me stranded so he went out of his way to get me transportation home to LA. I wished I lived closer as I would always have my car serviced here.
