I can't believe I didn't take pictures! I left my phone on purpose so as to enjoy this breakfast during a girls weekend trip. Delish!!! If you've read some of my reviews, you may know that crispy bacon is priority for me. They cooked it to perfection. We all shared the French toast as a breakfast dessert (yes it's a thing lol). Wow! Warm syrup, butter, and walnuts drenched the soft but slightly crispy toast. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The one thing I wasn't impressed by were the breakfast potatoes. They weren't bad but were just kind of plain. Didn't seem to accompany the eggs well. That's just my opinion. Personally, I prefer hash browns or potatoes with a little zing. Coffee, iced tea, and mimosas were refilled quickly at our request. We never waited for anything. The place was quiet busy on a Sunday morning. I suggest you make reservations. We sat inside which was lovely. However, there is a nice outdoor area I will reserve next time. Yea, there will be a next time! Edit: How could I have forgotten the donuts! The food is as great! The service was the best I've had all week. Top notch expectations, the owner on the dining floor checking I. On everyone! Started with the Barada truffle eggplant appetizer, which was amazing! Move to salads the wedge, and the spinach beet salad also amazing. Moving your dinner has the salmon and chicken park. Also great. If it was not our last night, we would have taken it to go. And of course, who does not love Tartufo, but this was the best I've had. But again, I cannot say enough about the service. Found this place on Yelp soo glad we came, we sat outside on the covered deck. Our server JOSIAH greeted us ask for him if you come the way he explains the specials make you want to order them all very detailed, there were many helper running around making sure empty plates were taken away and if we needed anything. After he told us the specials the next thing we asked was what's for dessert, after hearing them we could have stayed for that only big selection. We ordered the salad special, came with fresh bib lettuce sliced pears, radishes, sweet pecans and a raspberry vinaigrette topped with a creamy blue cheese chunk. We said we are splitting the salad and they split it for us, the salad was excellent the dressing made the whole thing I could have purchased a gallon on that stuff it would have made anything taste good. For dinner we had chicken parmigiana with there homemade noodles. This is a must get the noodles are outstanding the sauce was also very good the chicken and coated perfect and then cooked to golden brown and a perfect crisp topped with tomato sauce. This was the best chicken parm I've had. Wife and I also split this meal and they split it in the kitchen for us, I don't know how someone could really eat a whole order it was more than enough for my wife and I. All of the other meals we saw were pretty big also. Now to the dessert, they have a very good list they need to do a sample plate of like 4 items from the list because if the rest of the desserts are as good as the 2 we ordered wow they should be awesome. Wife had the pineapple upside down cake it does have nuts in it, it came out warm the cake was super moist and very tasty personally I think it would have been better cold or room temp. I had the flourless chocolate cake wife and I really enjoy this type of cake, back in MD where were we live we goto a restaurant that serves a cake like this. I wanted to see if it was the same, it is and I believe this one is better. So rich and creamy melts in your mouth! This is why they need a dessert board I also heard the table next to use mention they needed to order all the desserts and everyone get a spoon. read more

I had a business lunch here previously, but hadn't been for dinner until last night. Firstly, I'd say that this time of year (season), this place looks to be pretty booked up generally over the dinnertime sweet spot hours between 6-8pm. We settled for a 5:30pm reservation and were greeted by a smiling receptionist and seated nearly immediately. Our server gave us 5-6 daily specials in addition to the fairly extensive menu. There are plenty of options across pasta, beef, seafood, veal, chicken and salad dishes. Keep in mind that this is certainly an upscale restaurant and entree prices are accordingly high ($30-45pp). They do have some less expensive pizza/flatbread options available too. The service was solid overall, as was our meal. We found everything we ordered to be tasty and freshly made, including the pasta. This would be a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, etc and we will be back. read more

What a find! My wife and I love this charming eatery. We've been there for breakfast (brunch, really) and dinner. They never disappoint. Service is friendly and courteous and the food is always outstanding. We went there for my birthday last year and had a memorable herb-crusted Colorado rack of lamb. It was done to perfection and presented beautifully. Breakfasts are a treat. The place is under new management but they have retained their chef. The new owner is friendly and eager to please. We're going there tomorrow- second time in a month- for breakfast with friends who were with us the last time. They come from a long distance but say that the trip is worth the drive. read more

Number one, the ambience is gorgeous. Walking into the restaurant, we were greeted by friendly employees and tables adorned with hot pink roses. We came for breakfast, and we're delighted to receive two fresh handmade donuts at our table, which are complementary on the weekends. I had the scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon breakfast, and they correctly cooked the bacon crispy and well done as requested. My husband got the sausage, frittata, which looked amazing, and he finished the whole thing. Number two , the coffee was rich and bold -- one of the best tasting coffees around, and they gave me a to-go cup coffee, free of charge, as we departed. Pelican Café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so we are looking forward to sitting outside next time and trying either lunch or dinner! Wow! What a great place! Visiting from Miami staying a couple of days in Riviera Beach And wanted breakfast! I Yelped and found Pelican cafe. From the moment you enter it has a welcoming feeling and the decor and ambiance is very family friendly and Northeasterly! The Breakfast was great. Loved the avocado toast and the eggs and toast all around were enjoyed. The coffee wasn't watered down the serve staff was super and overall a great eating experience. When in Riviera Beach area I recommend you go to the Pelican for breakfast lunch or dinner. read more

Forced valet doesn't work. If they want to offer valet, offer it and park the cars in the overflow lot. Don't use the convenient lot next to the restaurant for valet and force people to park their cars in the overflow lot. Can't the valets walk to get the cars? Why make people walk to get their cars if they decide to not use valet? It's backwards thinking. read more

Did we come on a bad day?? After reading all the good reviews we thought we would give this place a try. My husband's sausage frittata was terrible. Seriously, like a thin layer of egg with some sausage that you'd see on a gas station pizza, then topped with a glob of cheddar cheese. (Wish I'd taken a picture) The english muffin for my eggs benedict was so tough I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. It makes you wonder who is writing the "fabulous" reviews. read more

The service was IMPECCABLE, even FLAWLESS, especially compared to some of the fancier, higher-priced places in the area. The food was out of this world! Delicious just skims the surface. My partner and I were both disappointed last night when we dined at the Pelican, a place we had been to several times before and been satisfied. My chicken parm was just so so. This was our first visit. We went during breakfast/lunch. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict after the server recommended it. Great choice! The crab cakes were full of crab and no fillers. Very tasty. The eggs were poached perfectly. Nothing negative to say! My partner had the banana pecan French toast. It looked good. I couldn't try it due to food allergies. We sat outside and they brought a heater over for us. It was a little chilly that day. The reason I gave three stars is because the service was a little slow. I don't know if they were short handed. She was friendly and made awesome recommendations. We had to ask the food runner for water to be brought out. She didn't check on us until after we were pretty much finished with our food. I have been looking forward to having lunch here since I moved back.. finally today was the day! My first visit was so amazingly delicious I can't believe it took me so long.. it was sisters shopping and lunch day and we decided to sit inside. We had a very warm welcome from the hostess and e were able to choose our table. They are adhering to all CDC guidelines including social distancing and limited capacity. We had the best server on the planet! Wesley(Wes) . Omg! He was attentive, helpful and charming! My sister who is a regular there asked if they had one donut for me to try. Wes magically appeared with a red velvet donut that was so delicious! We ordered a Cesar salad and the shrimp spinach and cheese quesadilla. The salad was a huge portion and fresh and delicious! My shrimp spinach and cheese quesadilla was filled with huge shrimp cooked perfectly and sautéed spinach and lots of cheese.. crispy and cheesy gooey . Yummy! Also a huge portion enough to share. It comes with sour cream and salsa with a kick. I took half home as did my sister. The setting is classic beachie chic! I fell in love with the food, atmosphere, service and vibe! My favorite go to place in Palm Beach County the owner Chef Mark Frangione creates the most delicious dishes from his roots in Connecticut to American bistro. A couple of my favorites are his Sunday Gravy (pasta and meatballs) and by the way his meatballs are spectacular and I don't say that lightly also his fish tacos are out of this world and don't hesitate to try his soups which are all homemade! I can't say enough about the pelican and if you decide to go at night for dinner definitely make a reservation the place is packed at all times. read more

Absolutely amazing experience here, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Such a fun atmosphere and amazing food. You can tell the owner truly loves what he does, he's out and about the restaurant checking in multiple times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. There is a live band every night and everyone gets up and dances, including the owner! The espresso martini I ordered was the best I've had in a long time. The main courses were to die for, especially the chicken parm. Authentic Italian food right in south Florida! We also got veal parm, and filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Our desert was delicious as well, we got the chocolate lava cake and the pineapple upside down cake. The coolest part of the night was the light up book that the check came in. 4 stars with the decision made to return and try it a 2nd time. My official rating is 3.5/5 but I felt 3 stars would reflect too low on this scale, so I rounded up to 4. My husband and I made reservations at this restaurant over a week in advance. Live band on a Friday night, packed crowd- 10/10. Environment was AMAZING. The community seated around us at the bar were just delightful, and it was clear they were regulars. Our experience fell short with the overall experience. If you're a regular, you will get a 5-star dining experience. If you're new, be prepared to wait over an hour (us, unfortunately) for your meal. When your meal is brought out, a careless comment of "don't worry it's worth the wait." Will be jokingly said as your food is sat down. No apology. Just the statement that we should be so lucky. The food was good! But... I'm not sure it's worth a wait of over an hour. We had reservations for 730pm. The parking is a bit chaotic, so we were about 5 min late arriving to check in. We were seated and placed our order at 8:06pm, when the waitress returned with our drinks. We did not order appetizers, only one entree each. 2 rounds of bread, a couple of confused regulars ("did you order something complicated?" "I don't think so,sir. Just a pasta and pork chop dish...") and a reminder of how lucky you are to be dining at such a popular place (sadly, we were told this by the bartender)... your food will arrive at 9:16pm. It was the arrogance and the lack of apology that is causing us to rate anything short of 5 stars. A simple apology when the food was served vs a "it's worth the wait." - not sure it's worth THAT wait. Maybe 25-35 min, but not over an hour. Disappointing. We were told during one brag session of our wait (there were several) that the chef has been here over 14 years. Our question to ourselves walking out was "if the chef has been here 14 years, wouldn't the kitchen be managed well enough to handle the Friday night rush?" We plan to try it once more, and likely sit at a table vs in the bar section. I rated 3.5 based on the experience with the hope that next time we can bump up to 4.5/5. The people we sat around, the "regulars", were what touched us enough to try it again. Will update. read more

Came to celebrate my mom's 74th birthday. Truly a pleasant experience. Tom was our server and he couldn't have been nicer. He explained the specials and was very attentive. The ambience was lovely. The dishes were so good. Just like a Sunday dinner at an Italian mama's home. Pasta, shrimp, meatballs, veal, calamari, and chicken parm. The cheesecake was to die for. The menu was varied and the pictures on the website assured me that the ambiance would be nice. When we arrived we were very pleased with the dining area, the hostess and the server.
