Just horrible. Our very expensive arched windows are not up to what we paid for. The arch does not cleanly meet the square portion of the window. Our sales person first accepted that they were working on making it right, then he stopped answering my questions or phone-calls. When I tried to call him another day, he answered and recommended I contact corporate. I told him he was my sales rep and he became very rude. He called back to apologize for what he had said and promised me a manager would call me that morning. That call never came. And good like trying to get help by calling them directly to the office. This company is a joke and now I have to live with my very expensive, defective windows.

Pella Austin is an incompetent, horrible organization. I was excited for my custom windows. This quickly dissipated w/each Pella interaction. The salesman was late, & did not understand manufacturing lead times but was aware installers were backed up. I told him I would prefer Pella do the installation and paid my 50% down payment which included the installation cost. I also inquired about a permit & he said he would check. He did not get back to me on any of the issues in a timely manner. He called to tell me the lead time would now be 2 months & the install longer. I asked again about the permit & he said he forgot and would check. I was then charged $500 measurement fee. Apparently they charge you this if they are not doing the install but this fee was not listed on the original estimate (he gave me one for Pella to do the install & one to just supply the windows which should have included the $500 measurement fee). I paid it because I was trying to finish before school started at UT as an engineering PhD student. During this time I spoke to the sales manager Sandie Criley in hopes of receiving competent customer service. At least Colin was nice. Sandie was horrendous and I am embarrassed for her as a female manager. Once I realized I could not work with her, I asked Colin again to follow up about the permit. A month passed, Colin forgot again & then e-mailed me that I would need to pull the permit & pay the $2k for the permit plus coordinate with the state. This is a violation in this county. https://www.austintexas.gov/page/express-permits. I told him to cancel the install (even though Pella still held my 50% deposit). I was eventually charged $450 (not previously mentioned in either quote) to have the windows delivered. The first attempt included an Enterprise truck with 2 non-uniformed workers who could not get the door open. Their return trip on Monday including them forgetting one of the windows. I did receive a $500 refund but not worth the stress. Note that they have terrible reviews on multiple sites and when they try to negotiate any reimbursements for the errors, they insist that you remove your reviews because they know how horrible they are.

    Incomplete work

Would not recommend. Poor communication and incomplete work. Do not work with this business. They installed windows and a door last year and still have not completed the project. After a year of emails and complaints I still have not received a plan to complete the project. Instead I received a notice of a lien on the property. This local business is shady, unprofessional, and offers poor quality.

Selected Pella fiberglass windows after have all the leading competitors present their products. Pella won our business for aesthetic, product quality, and value. From our initial call Jeremy and Audrey helped meet every objective we had for the project. Their communication from start to finish was excellent. Dennis and the installation team were exceptional! They were friendly, knowledgable, and expert in their skills. They treated our home with exceptional care, wore masks for COVID safety, and left our property cleaner than when they arrived. Perfect 5 out of 5 stars! The quality of the Pella staff was exceptional. Thank you

Alan and team did a great job on my replacement windows, and I already started saving on my energy bill!

Shout out to Pella Windows & Doors of Austin! I did two projects over the last six months to replace all of my windows and doors. From sales to installation, the customer service, quality of materials, and attention to detail were outstanding. Ryan W did a great job helping me make my selections. Claudia H kept me posted on factory progress, and happily accommodated two installation reschedule requests. Jon R and his crew installed the first set of windows, replacing 3 double-hung windows with 5 casements - they completely rebuilt the back wall of my house. And finally, Gio A replaced my back door, 3 double-hung windows, and replaced a 4th window with French Doors. These two projects involved significant reconstruction. Both Jon and Gio are craftsmen - their carpentry skills are exceptional. Their crews were prompt, courteous, and tidy. I highly recommend Pella and their installation teams!

French doors with two dead bolts make no sense. The left one is non-functional, as is the exterior "lock" attached to it.

Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there.

Our project manager, Nate, worked with us extensively to find the right options to fit our vision and budget. He patiently answered all our questions, offered his expertise, and checked in on the progress during and after installation. Both the window and siding crews were courteous and efficient and every last detail was addressed during our final walk through. We are loving the new look along with the temperature and sound regulation benefits! For reference, we also got quotes from Window World (slightly less expensive but not energy efficient certified), Titan Windows and Siding (significantly more expensive), and JP Construction (comparable on almost everything but not quite as proactive on follow up).

I am updating the review to respond to the business's calculated misrepresentation of the facts and…read morean attempt to minimize severe, documented building code violations. For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The video proof of punctured plumbing remain on this review.

We just…read morefinished replacing all 55 of the 30-year old aluminum windows in our home with the very high-quality Window World ones. They are beautiful!! Many of our windows face south. Our breakfast nook and kitchen were made almost unlivable by the amount of heat that our old windows let in. We have had many mid to high 90 degree days since our new windows were installed, and our breakfast nook and kitchen have become our favorite places to be, as our Window World windows keep all that heat out completely. Our entire house stays much cooler now. Braden, our salesperson, was extremely professional and not high pressure at all!! Unlike some sales people, he understands all technical details of the windows, and the process of installing them. He used to be a window installer himself, and it really shows. He took very, very accurate measurements, so all our 55 windows fit perfectly when they arrived. As he looked at every window for the estimate, he explained what would need to happen for each one, such as caulking, masonry, etc. The price for all 55 of our windows was 1/2 the price of the 3 other companies we got quotes from. The quality, and look, of the windows is fantastic! After the installation was complete, Braden came by and looked at each window. He tested them for ease of raising and lowering them, as well as tilting them in and out. We found about 12-15 that were too tight, and he sent a crew over the next day to take care of them. They did a tremendous job of making them absolutely correct. I can't say enough positive things about the crew either. They arrived exactly when they said they would each day. Wes was our foreman, and did a good job of communicating with us on the first day. Bruce was the foreman-on-site of our job (was there every day), and he did a SUPERB job! He answered all the myriad of questions we had in a very professional and friendly manner. It took a 4-5 man crew 3 1/2 days to install all 55 windows. Bruce was very easy to communicate with. All the men on the crew were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Each crew member was very proficient and knew exactly what to do. The men got along very well with each other. It was a very happy crew. In my opinion, a happy crew does a good job. They had large tarps which kept the construction mess away from our carpets and furniture. Even with the tarps, they thoroughly vacuumed all the carpets and wiped down our belongings at the end of each day. They were very respectful and careful with our belongings. We were very impressed that WW's installation inspector came by twice just to be sure that things were being done properly, and to our satisfaction. He offered me two options and gave us just enough info for us to make an informed decision. He said two months AND IT WAS EXACTLY. We got a call from customer rep, Kathy, who just continued the positive experience. Had to work around the holidays on timing and a couple logistic issues but it was not a problem for Kathy. ALWAYS RESPONSIVE. Now time for install. I was told "Bruce and his team (Anthony, Bairon, Juan & Jair) would arrive in a specified timeframe and be on site for two days. We followed the instructions given us and on arrival Bruce and the team went to work. The team did take over quickly and we admittedly were slow to vacate so their music and back-and-forth did cause us consternation. However, in all my years of home ownership and repairs and renovations I have never had a crew who was so focused on a good job and genuinely enjoyed the task at hand and their coworkers. Great job team! So now the weather is changing, we have 21 new windows, no drafts, clean lines, and clear windows. Thanks again Window World Austin.
