I came to Penn Station specifically craving a Philly cheesesteak and ordered it with extra meat, extra onions, and extra mushrooms, planning on having leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day. What I received was mostly bread, barely any meat, almost no onions, and not a single visible mushroom. The meat that was there was dry and sparse. When I spoke to the manager, I was told that because I ordered extra vegetables, they reduced the amount of meat--despite the fact that I paid for extra meat. I was told this is "their policy" and that nothing could be done, other than offering me more vegetables. That makes no sense and feels misleading at best. To make it worse, my husband ordered the Dagwood with everything on it. His sandwich cost the same price as mine and was loaded with ingredients. The difference in portion size was obvious. The quality, value, and customer service were extremely disappointing. If you're looking for a real Philly cheesesteak, this is not the place. I won't be eating here again! read more

Just beware of this location. The best location is White Oak for sure. Went to the Dent location with my sister and her kid from out of town. Long story short, our order was taken wrong, the one manager girl admitted it. The other manager....ha.....did not take it well. Told me I ordered it, I paid for it before noticing it, so it's mine, and it's done. Finally got a refund for the difference, and after being told to go ahead and start eating it, the first manager came out and took my entire tray, fries, and half-eaten sandwich to tamper with it, cut off "my portion," and bring it back. The owner did call me, and while I appreciate that he stands by his employees, he is quick to place blame back on the customer. I completely understand that mistakes happen, and I offered to let them take the sub back and remake the right size. They told me no, go ahead and eat, then told the manager they, in fact, remade it, but they didn't. They messed with my food and brought it back out. Not good. read more

Staff is friendly but incompetent. I have tried this place twice. Both times my carry out was not made right. The chicken Philly did not taste bad but it was light on chicken and heavy on mayo.., Probably won't be back.., Not worth it... Hope you have better luck... read more

Worst customer service ever!!!! Visited Penn Station Dent for lunch and order a regular sub when I went to pay I noticed I was charged for a large; I told the women at the counter I didn't order a large and she got her manager. He proceeded to tell me it was already on the grill and there is nothing he could do. Not only was this the poorest customer service; the sandwich was awful. The Penn Station experience is somewhat inconsistent in that I tend to have either really bad experiences or really good ones. For this most recent visit, it was exceptional. I was greeted immediately upon reception and quickly processed through the order take and checkout. I waited about 10 minutes for my food, which is pretty standard for a dinner rush. I ordered a 12' Philadelphia Cheesesteak, which for me is what brings me back, even when the customer service is lacking. Typically, I've noticed, the service lacks only when they are slammed and don't have enough manpower to handle it properly. When the food arrived, I had no doubt the fresh-cut fries and sandwich were piping hot. The store was mostly clean, so I was satisfied with the overall experience. read more

Penn Station sets up shop even closer to my house?! This is amazing news! I love love love Penn Station subs. The bread is the best, and the fries are up there, too! You will leave completely satisfied. An odd thing about their newer locations. You go in and order right away, but instead of paying right then, you go down the line and pay at a different register. I don't understand the reasoning, but all the new ones are setup this way. I don't like it. There is also some confusion over sizes. They recently changed and added a "lite" size which is 6". So that means the sizes go 6", 8", 10", 12" or lite, small, medium, large. If you exit the parking lot through the bank then you can use the stoplight to get onto Harrison. read more

All of the employees are unbelievably rude. Not a single smile in the place. Every time someone walks in they act as if it is a major inconvenience to them. It all starts with their manager/owner. My husband and I visited this spot on a busy Thursday night. I was pleased to see what appeared to be two managers helping out on the line. All the staff was very friendly and nice. We got our food fast and everything was delicious as always. It is nice to see when management will help in to keep the line moving, to me that shows they care about their staff. Been going to this Penn Station off and on with no problems until one day I asked if I could use a coupon now I just ate there two days earlier and my coupon was good, but on this day when I asked the owner said no so I said ok I'll pay full price and did. I have health issues and cannot stand for very long do so I was going to my table when the owner wanted to know where I got that coupon, so I showed him on my cell phone when he snatched my phone from my hand and said we don't honor that coupon so I said that's fine I paid full price and again headed it to a table when he started following me badgering me about this coupon when my wife said quit being and asshole when he said to make my order to go. I said no if I can't eat here then I want my money back which he did. I don't understand why he was being such a jerk over this coupon when I said that it was ok and had paid the full price. This is my story but I have heard from other people he has been a jerk to them. He's a jerk but the food is good my stars are based on this experience. read more

super rude staff, incredibly rude manager? Totally confused, did not know what they were doing. Tried to ring up a gift card and kept doing it incorrectly, all while terribly annoyed. Got a sandwich and chips as well, after ringing up gift card wrong (repeatedly) he rang up our sandwich wrong as well (without the chips). While I've never had a less than satisfactory experience with any Penn Station restaurant in general, especially in terms of their food that is always consistent and delicious, this Penn Station on Harrison is especially helpful and courteous. Food was good - but boy do they have a problem with some of their staff - the lady that was working at the cashier- not nice at all , and you can tell they don't like the owner or manager because when they saw him pull into the parking lot she said very loudly "What's he doing here"! The staff warned each other he was there! Only then did she come out and look like she was cleaning and wiping tables down And if you have a problem or need something you are screwed !! I'm not one to normally write reviews but after what happened at my last visit I couldn't help but to do so. Let me start by saying I frequently go to this Penn Station but after my last visit it will definitely be my last. The food is always good and the customer service is usually very good, usually. I am a big supporter of the second amendment; I have my CCW and practice open carry as allowed by Ohio law. I have come in on numerous occasions after work with my firearm openly attached to my hip. I have never had a problem until last night. I would like to note that NOWHERE on the business entrance or anywhere inside is there a sign banning firearms. As I am cashing out, the GM/Owner, who happens to be who is cashing me out, comes to me and says, "I do not allow concealed carry at MY restaurant." I was surprised for three reasons. First of which I have never been confronted about practicing open carry, secondly I know there is no sign posted anywhere stating this, and thirdly I was not concealing my firearm; It was in a holster in plain sight. The gentleman did not cause a scene but he seemed very disgruntled while he was talking to me. I would think with all that is going on that business owners would welcome law abiding gun owners in their restaurant; I know I do at mine. If you do not want someone to carry a firearm in your place of business I have no problem with that; You should have a sign posted so that gun owners know. I felt like informing him on the laws and talking to him, but I was so taken back I didn't want to possibly cause a problem. I would like this store owner to know a few things: If you do not want someone to legally carry a firearm in your business you need to have it posted; Know that that sign is not going to stop someone illegally carrying a firearm; It is not the gun you can see you need to worry about, it's the one you can't see; I don't carry a gun because I think I'm "Johnny Bad Ass," I carry it because I have the right to do so to protect myself, my family, and possibly someone like you. Lastly, I would like to say you have lost my business and I have told this story to many more who are like me: Law abiding gun owners who no longer want to be patrons at your business.
