Tough review to make because I love Penn station and have been to this location countless times and never had an issue. I order a Philly every time. All the way, extra banana peppers. Last night my wife went and ordered it, and came back from work only to open the sandwich to see pizza sauce spilling out, I had her take pictures thinking it was a mistake by a kid, dude who handled the order name was Robert. I called the manager to get it handled. TOM clearly had never had a Philly before and claims to have worked here for 7 years. Made me wonder if anyone had ever ordered all those things. This place never fails us. We arrived about noon. I ordered the artichoke sun and my husband ordered the Italian. The food keeps getting better. My sandwich was full of artichokes and mushrooms... yummy. The French fries were delicious. Penn Station is my favorite sandwich place to go. Oh! First, I love Penn Station. The food is amazing. And this time was no different--our food was great. But my visit to this location was terrible. I hope this review encourages a more welcoming environment for others in the future. I arrived to this location at 7:40pm. I didn't realize the store closed at 8:00pm, but I was doing a simple to-go order, so it seemed there was plenty of time. The employee (I wish I would have gotten his name) was visibly irritated. He asked for our order, and was clearly annoyed. I said, "I'd like a large fry." He huffed, and said "sandwich, I need your sandwich order!" So I said the three sandwiches I wanted, and the large fry. He was short and seemed irritated with every question. Thankfully I know how ordering works at Penn Station because he just motioned for us to go to the register. The guy working the register was pleasant. Meanwhile, the guy who took our order kept talking out loud, to no one really, complaining about having the get everything back out because he "took a gamble" and cleaned up before closing time. He grumbled incessantly. Two more customers came in at 7:46 and he was equally as short with them. He then said loudly to the other guy working "you can clean up [the fry station] because if someone else comes in I'm telling them we're not serving them." Then, as he unloads the different ingredients he continues to talk to no one, but loudly proclaim he already packed everything up for the night. At one point he blurted out "I am NOT coming to work tomorrow!" The other employee never really said anything, just cleaned up. Another customer walked in at 7:56. He was a police officer. The irritated guy just looked at him. The other (non-irritated) employee stopped what he was doing and went to take his order. The officer left when he was told they closed at 8:00. All this to say, Penn Station is so good... this experience though, was so unnecessary. The guy was clearly frustrated and overwhelmed, but his actions were so unprofessional and unwelcoming. If I were to come in again and see him, I'd likely leave. read more

I entered the store and I was the only customer. I waited five minutes for the employee to come out in the back. I ordered three subs and a salad. I waited 20 minutes for my order. Three other people got their orders before me. Two of the subs were fixed wrong. I won't be coming back. read more

Me and my wife came in after trying to hunt down a cheesesteak for dinner. They were fast and friendly and the cheesesteak was great! I would definitely recommend stopping in and either sitting down to eat or taking it to go. Fries were crispy and tasty, they are fresh cut fries. read more

Expensive sandwiches that are almost as bland as anything out of a Subway. Seriously, if you are gonna charge that much for a steak sandwich the meat needs to be seasoned and have some semblance of fat to give it that greasy philly flavor. No one wants a lean philly steak. Gotta drown it in salt, pepper and hot sauce or marinara to make it taste good. Just add some seasoning to the beef and use beef with a little bit of marbling. It will go a long way. read more

HANDS DOWN BEST REUBEN SUB IN TOWN!! I strolled in this past Tuesday night at 930pm armed with my local yocal coupon for $6.79 small sub, fries and drink.. I was a newbie so Colton was so kind to walk me through the kprocess and after scouring the menu and a sure fire recommendation the Reuben was the owner's fav, I placed my order and added shrooms to my sub at no extra charge and waited for my freshly made to order dinner ..Sweet! I then gave my coupon to Colby, a very hospitable young man that was in the midst of cleaning up for the 10pm close time, though you'd never knew it because I was treated to Free Cookie Tuesday and they upgraded my drink to try the fresh squeezed lemonade and refills are free while dining in! I had 2 glasses YUM...then my fresh fries and HUGE 6" Sub were delivered to my table in no time flat...All I can say is WOWZA!! Wonderful taste, fresh ingredients, good value, ( even without coupon) clean establishment and Service served with a smile, even at closing time! This brand new sub shop has a simple easy to order menu and specializes in massive orders of fries. Our food was made quickly after ordering at the counter, and delivered to our table. My spouse enjoyed his Italian. I got the Reuben and liked it. While it was not the best Reuben of my life, but it was pretty good. The large fries were more than a meal for even one person. They only serve pop sweet tea, and lemonade, so BYO sippy cup of milk if you have a little one. I like it. I'll be back. Especially because it is next door to the Casual Pint! read more

I travel a lot and it's not my intention to slam a business, but rather to inform fellow travelers. This sub shop gives an unfair name to the wonderful philly steaks in Pennsylvania. Unless "Penn" means something else. They serve 5oz of meat on a sub with probably the same weight in onions and charge $12.00 for the lg sub. Waaaay overpriced. Went in on a 30 min lunch break. A very sweaty employee that was not wearing any gloves whatsoever constantly wiping sweat from his head and grabbing bread right after without washing his hands was making every sandwich this way! Ordered a sandwich then noticed the cook, who was making a sandwich ahead of mine, holding a bun in his bare hand and shoveling the meat into the bun. The meat got onto his hand and so he used his hand, no gloves, to put the rest of the meat into the bun. My wife and I both said it was the worst meal we had had in years she had the Reuben I had the Philly state the sauerkraut on the Reuben was horrible you couldn't even make out if it had cheese on it .My Philly steak it had something on it that look like it might have been cheese but it was so shriveled up and I couldn't even tell if it was cheese or what it was The Taste was not like any Philly Steak I had ever had in my life , A TV dinner would have been better the french fries where put back into the grease to reheat they were greasy and burnt they also had dark black spots on them that look like potato rot, I've read some reviews that said their food was great this I cannot imagine the only thing I can figure out is there two separate Crews one is excellent the other is horrible if you eat there you will be playing Russian roulette, good luck .My wife and I both felt very nauseated after eating there so we ended up going to Dairy Queen to get some ice cream to try to kill the taste and calm the nausea. We are in town for a volleyball tournament and this was our first experience at Penn station and it was amazing! I had their chicken teriyaki sub and it was the bomb!!! My fellow coach had the chicken cordon bleu and we decided to half each of our subs to try and both halves were so good!
