We went here to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. We had a reservation but the graduation ended earlier than what we expected. The manager was very accommodating to let us dine before our reservation. We were seated inside with a beautiful view of the bay. We got appetizers and ordered from their lunch menu. All the food was delicious. This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to for birthday and anniversary celebrations. The staff and their service are incredible. Plus nothing can bet the view of the bay especially at night.

We recently hosted a work celebration lunch here for a party of 19 after an amazing month as a team. We made the reservation about two weeks in advance and I even stopped by a couple days beforehand to confirm everything was set. When we arrived, the staff and manager were very accommodating and moved us outside so we could enjoy the beautiful views of the San Diego Bay. The setting truly was amazing and several people in our group commented on how beautiful the restaurant was. Unfortunately, the service timing really impacted the experience. We had an 11:45 reservation, but our orders were not taken until around 12:30 despite appetizers and drinks beginning to arrive. Drinks alone took close to 40 minutes. We had also ordered oysters, and only after we followed up were we informed they had just arrived and had not yet been shucked. It left us wondering if we would have received the notice at all had we not asked. The servers themselves were kind and polite throughout, but service was very infrequent and the pacing of the meal became difficult for a large group with work schedules to maintain. Entrées did not begin arriving until around 1:00 PM, and they came out so spread apart that some team members had finished eating before others had even received their food. Eventually our leader had to ask about the remaining meals because many of us had meetings to return to. The manager did offer complimentary dessert, which was appreciated, but by that point we had already been there over two and a half hours and unfortunately needed to leave. Overall, the location and atmosphere were wonderful, and the staff was friendly, but the experience itself was disappointing given that this was meant to be a celebration lunch for our team.

Amazing views, but the food and presentation wasn't anything to rave about. I usually don't like dining out on holiday occasions, but we went for Mother's Day dinner. The menu was a 3 course prefix. I opted for the wedge salad, prime rib, and the chocolate mousse cake. The wedge salad was nothing like a traditional wedge salad from most restaurants. The plating was sloppy and the blue cheese dressing didn't taste like blue cheese. The prime rib was prepared well. The mashed potatoes came out hard, like they've been sitting for awhile. The au jus sauce was too salty. My bf opted for the lobster bisque, swordfish, and white chocolate cheesecake. The cup of bisque was watery and had no texture or substance. The swordfish was dry. It looked dry on arrival. My daughter got the kids cheese burger (came out full size) so not bad for $15. The dessert was probably the best part, but I don't even think it's made in house. Our white chocolate raspberry cheese cake had a piece of wax paper stuck to the plate decoration. Service was good, but the restaurant overall didn't meet my expectations. I probably wouldn't consider returning.

Peohe's in Coronado is the most reviewed restaurant so I had to see. The restaurant appears a bit dated but was clean and presented nicely. There's interior and exterior seating, but with sunny San Diego weather, seating outside umbrella shades and waterfront views is preferred. The staff were very accommodating, helpful and nice, special thanks to our server Elle who had a positive attitude. The food selections were excellent. We ordered the seafood pasta, sesame crusted salmon for entrees and both were delicious. The Peohe salad and the red velvet cake were also yummy. This restaurant is part of the Chart House collection of restaurants throughout the nation, so most of the menu selections will be similar. Despite the common thread, the service, food and ambience were all fantastic. Recommend

Hubby wanted lobster but ended up ordering a prime rib end cut that came with garlic mashed potatoes. His drink ordered was a chocolate and bourbon drink that had a nice huge ice cube along with a skewered cherry and a solid chocolate ball. My mother in law had a blood orange and sage nonalcoholic beverage and she really enjoyed it. For dinner she had a wedge salad and lobster bisque soup. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and it was quite a generous portion with plenty of lobster chunks. I ordered the berry fauxhito which was quite refreshing. Sorry, we did share the pupu platter which had ahi poke, lobster sushi rolls, egg rolls, shrimp cocktail, and fried shrimp. We really enjoyed all of the elements on the platter. My favorites were the two different shrimp offerings. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor dining options, a sushi bar, as well as a regular bar. The atmosphere could be considered romantic in their large curved booths or business casual and also family friendly. There is something for everyone here. Also, shoutout to Devin as they were a magnificent server and met all our questions and needs. We will definitely be back.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch and absolutely loved it. We shared quite a few dishes and everything was great. The salmon on the bento box was 10/10. I shared fish and chips with one of my friends and we both really enjoyed it. The drinks were pretty good, however I think the food is what really made the experience so great. And the view!

I absolutely love Peohe's. The waterfront view is stunning. The poke is my fave...super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. Happy Hour is also a great deal, with food specials around $6-$12 and solid drink prices...$5.50 beers, $6 well drinks, and $9-$10 signature cocktails. Amazing views, great poke, and one of my favorite Happy Hours in Coronado!

    Nice romantic evening

First time dining at Peohe's!!! The staff were friendly and willing to assist. The fish was delightful, tasty and delicious. This place is so romantic whether dining inside or outside with heaters. This eatery is part of the Landry chain. Give this place a try if you ever visit Coronado, San Diego.

We had reservations, but were running a few minutes behind. Called ahead, they were very gracious and understanding. Sat outside, for a romantic view of San Diego's downtown skyline. Service was friendly and very attentive to our needs, food was brought out at a reasonable time. Had a steak dinner that was delicious.

For Restaurant Week, we were in search for a waterfront restaurant to maximize our dining experience. We had a few options to consider and decided on Peohe's. They say it's a favorite in Coronado and very well known for its fresh tropical seafood dishes but the proof is in the pudding--we had to see about that. It was easy to get to by car plus a parking lot is available at Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace. We could've taken the ferry for the full-on waterfront experience but wanted to have ample time for dinner. When we entered this modern-looking wood and glass building, it's island-inspired interior had a posh flair. We immediately requested outdoor seating. And once we got there, OMG what a stunning harbor view!! Later on, we witnessed a few times the ferry swirling into the landing at the dock. Our waiter and other staff provided a warm-friendly service even the people dining there were friendly too creating an inviting laid-back atmosphere. Come to find out, "Peohe's" is a Hawaiian word meaning "Gathering of Friends". What a beautiful evening in good company and surroundings! I felt like I was on vacation. The Restaurant Week menu had some really great options for our palates. Our dinner ended up to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Hands down, Peohe's is the BEST restaurant. Highly recommend it!! We look forward to returning :-)

Monday evening about 4:30 PM and I think the restaurant was a bit understaffed. There was no hostess as we entered and we weren't sure if they were even open for business except that we saw people sitting at the patio. Also, there were two ladies before us who said that there was someone working but she didn't come back yet and they've decided to leave so we could take their spot. Soon after a host appeared and put us on the waitlist. The restaurant was pretty empty. Nobody in the indoor dining area. We asked to be seated in the dining area and they places us in an enclosed patio which turned out perfect. We had a beautiful view and we had prompt service with recommendations and time to review our menus. However, they placed our appetizer before we got our waters. The Coconut Crunchy Shrimp was excellent and I ordered the Spider Roll which was delicious. My friend ordered the Salmon Aloha Catch, she asked how did they sauce the salmon but I think her question stumped the server and he said in a pan (you had your choice of grilled, baked, blackened and sautéed). She said the salmon was good but her veggies needed some salt. We were celebrating her birthday and a dessert with a candle is always a nice touch. I'll be back next week for another birthday celebration as this restaurant was the choice of the celebrant.

This is the view next to (and from) the restaurant.

This restaurant was really great! Not only is it beautiful, it has a gorgeous view on the water. I had the blackened salmon and my husband had the blackened swordfish. Both of them were delicious! We had mud pie for dessert and it was okay but the roasted almonds on top were sort of overpowering. The wait staff was excellent and the food was served perfectly. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, they do not offer a Military discount. They do have various discount programs such as their Landry's Membership program, AARP, and AAA. I wished they offered a Military Discount because they definitely deserve it!

Yes, there is a public lot adjacent to the restaurant

Yes, but be aware the portions were massive! I believe my friends kids had chicken fingers and fries!

    Is this place kid friendly?

    Absolutely! Kids love us!

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Interestingly two years ago they told us service dogs only but a couple of weeks ago we saw a dog on the patio and the owners of the dog said apparently now dogs are allowed patio only

I had been to SD twice before and wanted to check out somewhere I hadn't been. Enter Blue Water - the reviews and pics looks great, and the weather called for seafood, so I decided to head here and check it out. This Blue Water is located on India St in Mission Hills, though they have another location in Ocean Beach. Parking can be a little tricky, as there is no parking lot they are on a main road close to a split in a residential area. The interior is pretty spacious - the fish market is towards the front, and the ordering counter is in the back. Seating is spread out between the main area where the market is, a side room, and outdoors in the front. Decor and aesthetics are casual - very seafood restaurant-esque with straightforward design. The foot traffic set up so you order first and then find a table before they serve your meal to you. The menu is extensive - they have a large selection of fish that can be prepared several ways. It's a little overwhelming to take in, but there was no pressure for us to order; if there's a line all the more time to explore. I ultimately decided to get their mini shrimp tacos - these were served on a corn tortilla and topped with cabbage, tomatoes, onions, white sauce, and cheddar cheese with a side of tomatillo sauce. The tacos were great - super fresh, they didn't skimp on the shrimp, and all the flavors and textures worked really well together. I also ordered a cup of NE clam chowder which was good - not the best one I've had but for being in Southern California it held its own. Service was good - I'm seeing reviews of long lines but I think I came at the right time; there are barely a line to order and my meal was served shortly after that. Overall, Blue Water is a yes - I had a great experience here and wouldn't hesitate to return next time I'm in SD.

They want all four of us to stand in line instead of sitting at the empty tables. They seriously need training on customer service, at least to show empathy, sincerity and apologize to customers. I guess they don't care because we're Asian and believe they don't need our business here.

Both thought the portions were a little small for the price, but they liked their meals. The cioppino, on the other hand, was probably one of the worst I've ever had. The broth was oddly sour, and nearly all of the shellfish was overcooked. I almost spit the calamari out. It was that bad. The shrimp was good, and the chunks of fish were decent, but overall this dish was a huge miss. At almost $50, it's hard to justify. They either need to go back to the drawing board or take it off the menu. The standout was the daily cherry sorbet. WOW. Easily some of the best sorbet I've ever had. One random thing: whatever linen they use sheds everywhere. I loved how soft it felt until I walked outside and realized I was covered in lint. Would I come back? No. That said, it was still a lovely dinner with family. The ambiance was nice, and the service was genuinely exceptional. If you're coming for the hospitality, you'll probably leave happy. If you're coming for the cioppino, I'd strongly recommend ordering something else.

It's absolutely worth the price. After eating here, you'll find yourself comparing every other buffet to it and most won't even come close. This place definitely raises the bar. Highly recommend!

Cold bar consists of lots of different salads, snow crab legs, lobster claws, mussels, and many more. They had a good selection of soups from clam cowder, seafood soup, miso soup, egg drop, and hot and sour soup. Desert was one of my favorite with creme brulee, cheesecake, cookies, and ice cream, and more. Thursday buffet is $56.99 because they have lobster night. Downside on that is they come out with limited amount of half lobster and often times lines are long. Limit one per person everytime you get in line. The lobster was not fresh today and texture was very mushy. I will not be coming back for lobster night. Service was nice and friendly. Waitress refilled our drinking and removed empty places consistently. They have spacious seating areas and the atmosphere is very inviting and vibrant. We came on a thursday night with 7 people and did not have to wait longer then 5 minutes. Plenty of seating. They have a huge parking lots with plenty of parking.

We were instantly drawn to Pete's because of the dog friendly patio. There are about 6 tables on…read morethe very small patio, and on a Thursday during lunchtime all but 2 were taken. You'll have to park about a quarter mile away and potentially in a neighborhood because there is no parking on the street where Pete's is. I was sold on the crab roll as I'm not a really big fan of lobster. We also opted for the fish and shrimp. The crab roll is a stand out on its own. It had very great flavor and was fresh. I didn't mind the thick piece of bread that it came on, but I found myself just eating the crab itself. The fish and shrimp were actually quite nice and fresh. The shrimp was better than the fish in terms of seasoning. The fish was in desperate need of any type of seasoning. It was extremely plain. A dash of salt, or your favorite dipping sauce perhaps. I did find it interesting that the fish and shrimp plate did not come with a lemon. The fries were not too bad and reminded me a bit of In-N-Out fries when they've been in the bag for five minutes longer than they should and become soggy. They aren't bad, just would have preferred them to be crispier. The patio is covered and although it's small and the tables can feel close to each other the area still nice. For these two dishes, we spent $58.

10/5 Stars! Pete…read moreSeafood in North Park absolutely blew me away. The lobster roll is $36, but honestly, it feels like you're getting the meat from two full lobsters packed into one roll. They do not skimp on portions, and every bite was loaded with fresh, flavorful lobster. We also ordered the fried scallops, and they were incredible--perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. The fish and chips absolutely slapped too. Fresh fish, great crunch, and done exactly right. What impressed me most was the value. Seafood isn't cheap, but the portions and quality here make every dollar worth it. You leave feeling like you got your money's worth and then some. If you're in North Park and love seafood, Pete Seafood is a must-try. Great food, generous portions, and overall an amazing experience. I'll definitely be back.
