First time returning to this location in nearly 15 years, and I must say the newly renovated facility is impressive. My service advisor, Jeremy, was cordial, professional, efficient, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. Service requested based on a diagnostic code identified during a previous inspection. Vehicle was brought in for further evaluation, confirmation of the issue, and recommended repairs. I still have a few reservations until I receive the final diagnosis and estimate. For now, I've entrusted them with my vehicle, and I'm hopeful the experience will continue to be a positive one. Beyond vehicle maintenance, this location offers value through its professional staff and updated facilities. read more

Took my car in for tires, got it back and found out a few weeks later that the wheel lock key had been broken they let me drive off on four lugs with no attempt to inform me at all. read more

Absolute Shit. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Management was unprofessional and unhelpful. They misdiagnosed the issue, replaced a part that didn't need replaced and charged me 600 dollars for it while not addressing the actual problem. My car is still broken. I was given no sort of reimbursement and am now down 600 for a job done Incorrectly Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I'll keep this short, If you need something repaired or replaced and you know EXACTLY what it is and know the cost will be cheaper than the dealership, come to Pepboys. However, If you come to Pepboys and aren't sure what's wrong with your car they will use a bit of fear to make you believe you need more work done than you actually need and run the tab on you! You will spend at minimum 1K. I had a minor situation with a part in my car and was advised I needed a new alternator. In my head I immediately called BS. The associate advised the issue would get louder and worse and the particular job I needed done could not be done without a Full Replacement! Again, total BS and lies! They quoted me $1,200. Another shop down the road diagnosed the issue, and made a pulley alignment and replaced a pulley with no issues. Under $250 with labor! These guys tried to pull a fast one on me and I don't appreciate the dishonesty. This location is going through a remodel so be advised of the disorganization and construction going on. Also, the staff tends to congregate around the cashier when it's slow. It wouldn't hurt to get a dust cloth and wipe the 1 inch layer of dust all over the waiting room- Just being honest. It's a post pandemic world. Keep the waiting room clean! I will say the mechanic was EXTREMELEY helpful, honest and diagnosed the issue, however the desk staff are there to meet the store sales goal! read more

Pep Boys - Random waiting Room Pic. This place screams health issue but check out that chic bowl! Should have snatched it for the lies! jk - Tires Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Terrible work quality and poor service! I went in with and oil leak and they did $3000 of work just for all 3 of the parts they fixed to break again 3 months later. They are terrible at communication and I had no idea when they would be done either time. I would be willing to pay extra just to avoid them. read more

I was quoted for a repair job this morning for $725, when I went to go pick my car up this evening, the amount due was $1250. Same line by line as the estimate, just equating to a totally different cost. Of course the person who gave us the estimate went home, and they throw away all estimates instead of adding them to the paperwork for the day. Predatory services. Outrageous jump in cost... in this economy too? Shameful. read more

4 hours for an oil change and tire rotation (WITH and appointment at 8:00 in the morning). It took them 2.5 hours for the oil change, gave me my car after "completing" all the work... I looked at my car and they didn't rotate my tires even though I paid for it. So I gave it back to them and it took them another 1.5 hours to rotate the tires. read more

I was pretty pleased with their service. They gave me a price and that's what they charged me. I can't really complain about it. I also like that they let you bring your own parts. read more

I feel bad for the manager that was working when I came in. My battery needed replacing and I was afraid to drive it home as it was Sunday and not many places were open. It was clear this guy knew exactly what he was doing but his crew did not. I saw a mechanic ask his boss if a filter needed to be changed. So I would NOT trust them with serious repairs or even small stuff for that matter. However, because it was only my battery, the manager replaced it himself and I was out same day. The cost was fair. But if you do come here for serious work, prepare to wait a couple of days. Or take it to someone who knows what they're doing. read more

Everyone needs to be fired. They act real professional over the phone to get you to come in. But i kid you not. Every single associate there was on their phone. I came in and recieved 0 assistance. Apon entry i was told to wait one minute someone would be right with me. Nobody ever came. Instead the associates that did come through were goofing around as the older "adults" that work there were on their phones. As grown men at "WORK" your phone should never be that important. Shut this location down and replace it with a mcdonalds or something because that place is hopeless. read more

Horrible service. I get being understaffed but I did everything I was supposed to - made an appointment, was on time etc. and for 4 brake pad replacements (NOT ROTORS, JUST PADS) I sat there from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. I told the technician i had a work obligation at 2pm and told him I'd need to come back for the car and he insisted it would be done in time yet here I am still here at 2pm waiting. For pads??? I'd also like to note the cost for pads only was $670.00 - i refused to pay that and magically my bill came down to $350 - $81 for parts and $240+ for labor fees! Don't go to pep boys they will completely rob you and claim it's labor costs. read more

The manager at Pep Boys located on Hammond Dr. is mentally unstable. He called me an asshole for asking him why his price was different from the estimate I received from another Pep Boys shop at a different location for the same exact repair. Imagine if you're unhappy with the service? read more

This Pep Boys location is one of the most unprofessional businesses I've ever encountered. They don't respect appointment times. After giving them my information 3 times they continued to have the wrong name for me in their system. They quoted me $110 for the diagnostic and then $372 for the repair. They recommended an extra service for an extra $150 in which I declined over the phone. When I came to pick up my car they told me my total was $665.66. Although I explicitly declined their extra recommended service they did it anyway & charged me for it. I spoke to the what I assume to be the manager (Cedric) & he told me he was the one that talked to me on the phone (which I don't think is true)--he gaslit me saying that I said to proceed with all of it. I stood my ground & reassured him I said that I only wanted the needed repair. He proceeded to go back and forth with me telling me I was lying in front of the whole store. I am not one to argue at all & I was just so shocked at what was happening. He ended it with an attitude saying "I'll take it off but I know what you said." I finally got the $150 off and even with a free service I promise I will never come back to give my business at this store EVER again. read more

The Pep Boys are still using old ways to make money for part purchase and labor for a car repair. When I plan to replace my car alternator at 1880 Buford Hwy, 30041 , they told me the compatible alternator was stocked in workshop at price $585.00 and asked my wait. but after my 2 hours waiting in waiting room, I saw a deliver car sent the alternator "Carquest" to the front. I asked them why you said the part was stocked in your workshop and let me wait for two ours for the part delivery. the auto part store "O'Reilly Auto Parts" is in the same plaza and just 5 minutes away and the price is marked as $345.99 for the same brand part and ready to be picked up in 30 minutes if buy it by my self with 20% off online for more discount. The part was $200.00 more then the normal price even. They charged me more than $900.00 total to replace my Toyota Camry alternator with the above part and labor and even only with 90 days warranty. I felt I was ripped off much. They are not honest and please keep away from Pep Boys. read more

Not happy with service. Horrible turn around time. I had an appointment still waited over 2 hours to be serviced. No proper updates or estimate on service job being complete. Customer service is very dry and not friendly. Due to employee demeanor felt like I had to remind them to do the required check for my oil change service including putting caps back on. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I will never take my car here for service again. I brought my car in July 10 2024 for a basic oil change. After they finished I noticed and complained about a scraping sound coming from the front left undercarriage area of my car as I was driving home. I brought the car back, they put it up on a lift and then claimed that it was fixed. A few weeks later an undercarriage cover (that I confirmed covered the oil change area underneath the car) partially detached while I was driving and was dragging underneath my car. I brought my car back to this Pep Boys location and complained about that - they again put the car up on a lift, removed the damaged cover and said they would order a replacement cover. I never heard from them again. read more

I came to Pep Boys in April during a period of house/townhome/condo touring prior to making a purchase in May. I got my FIRST (I know, surprising) flat tire after hitting a curb across from an open house on a busy main road. I came here on a weekday, and after calling was able to helped that day. I just waited in the waiting area of the shop while the mechanics worked on my car and did not feel unsafe. It was just me at the end of the day, and the two staff working at the counter were super nice. read more

Do NOT take you car to Pep Boys on Piedmont Road in Atlanta. I came in to purchase tires and get a wheel alignment. While there they told me my battery was weak so I came back the next day to get a battery. They couldn't finish that day so they gave me the option to leave my car overnight. Three cars were vandalized that night and mine was one of them. My window was shattered , the police were called and Pep Boys said they would pay for it. That was 9 days ago! I told them that my car was headed to get an alternator repaired at a different shop and I would come back to them for the window since they had to set up an appointment for my window anyway. They set the appointment up without confirming it with me and when I called to get the window fixed after I picked it up from the other shop, they're saying well WE were ready on Wednesday. I told them the window is getting ready to fall in any day and I can't wait any longer . They keep telling me that they have to call and set up the window repair since they're paying for it but there's no sense of urgency and ZERO customer service skills. In addition, my steering wheel is still turned to the right which means the alignment I paid for wasn't done properly. Oh and the 4 brand new tires I purchased...well they scratched my rims up horribly trying to put the tires on AND left tire lube all caked up on my rims and brand new tires! The car was picked up by someone and I didn't see it until the next day. I asked them why on earth would you let a car out of your shop looking like this???? It's as if they don't care, it's as if they think it's a game or a joke and it's as if they don't comprehend that there is a CORPORATE office that is over them. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They will fix half of the problems then make up problems that aren't even real when there's still a bunch of issues they just neglected to fix. If you come here you are asking to be scammed and deserve it. Choose wisely and avoid. read more

This place has officially become the worst place for parts. I would come here cuz it's super close to my house but ever since they closed the main part of the store and make you work through the cashier for anything, it's just been absolutely terrible. They always try to up-sell everything, they usually recommend the wrong parts and there's always lines because one person is working at the counter. One time I tried to get disk breaks. I go to the counter and tell them the parts I need. He comes back with drum breaks and tells me they go on the back. I say no, they're dish breaks and he continues to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I got to the paint where I said something along the lines of "go get me what I asked for." The final straw for me was when I tried to buy wipers. I go up to purchase and the guy just types at the keyboard for minutes then just gets up and walks away. He comes back with a different set of wipers and tells me I need those ones instead. I ask why and he comes up with some reason where the ones I grab don't clip in. I asked why he event sold them in the first place. Then he told me they were over $30 a piece. FOR WIPERS! I walked out. Never coming back. I'd rather drive to autozone. At least they give me the right parts from the beginning. read more

Important update! They don't sell parts anymore. It's an all-service location. And Pep Boys service sucks, not that they're any better or worse than the other places, but I'd only get tires done at PEP and nothing else. read more

I tried to handle this as maturely as possible by calling the shop, but since I was cut off and put on hold for over 3 minutes, I'm going to just take to the internet. About three weeks ago, I came to the shop because I had an oil leak. After 6 hours of waiting for them to get the part and fix the issue, a mechanic tells me that the problem was not what they initially thought. I had to leave, and come back in two days so I made an appointment. They put no oil in my car in the mean time. When I came back for my appointment, they discovered that they ordered the wrong part. So I had to wait, again, for them to order the right part. They finally "fix" the issue, but they were still uncertain what the actual issue was. In fact, they thought the issue might be something they already fixed earlier this year! Here I am, two weeks later at another mechanic because my check engine light came on and puddles of oil were visible under my car. He tells me that the cover gasket they just replaced, was not sealed properly and oil was leaking all over. My engine had zero oil in it and I was lucky to have came in when I did before it caused more damage. They had to put in 3.5 quarts of oil. My car only takes 4. Honestly, don't waste your time or money here. They take forever and don't pay attention to details. Their customer service isn't that great and they nickel and dime you with shop fees which they say "is for inventory and parts" but ironically they never have the parts in stock that you need so...??? Go to a family owned business that actually cares about the customers and keeping their clients. I will say that Joe is very helpful and has good customer service. He really did help me through a lot of the confusion and I appreciated that. Otherwise, you rarely see the same people because the turnover rate is so high. I will be going somewhere else moving forward. read more

In the past two years I had to buy three replacement tires for the same tire!!! The other tires on my car have not had an issue! The last tire I bought in October went out in January! Called them and they said it's no warranty on it!! What a joke! They up charge and lie about the prices. It's close to where I stay so I kept going back like a dummy. Even called about replacing my battery they wanted to charge me $500 for a battery I got at Autozone for $200 plus free installation. They always lie about finding you the best price option. I'm almost certain they pocket money on the back end. This is the most slimy car shop I have ever seen!! If you know what good for you DO NOT GO HERE!! You have been warned. It's so unfortunate that a franchised establishment would do business in this manner. I wish I could give them zero stars! I take it back and they fix a tiny screw on my exhaust with no charge and i had to call to see if it was ready, which it is. Still no idea whats going on with my car and could be dangerous to drive and they didnt even tell me that, its just what i know. They didnt give me any suggestions what to do, i had to ask him what should i do? They just want your money and will fix everything besides what u asked for! This place is a joke and i hope they see this. 16 days later called back to get an update on my car the man said ready for pick up i said did they fix what i needed and said he doesnt know. I brought my car in about a month ago for misfiring & the service engine light was on, they had my car for 3 days for them to replace the spark plugs & ignition coils....I got my car back & within 24 hours (& driving less than 15 miles) the service engine light was back on...I brought it back & this time they said it was the oxygen sensors, but I didn't trust them so I picked up my car to get a different opinion since I already just spent $1k with them. Not even a month later, my car is misfiring again - I take it to a shop down the road because this is pretty insane....what do I need replaced? The spark plugs & ignition coils, AGAIN!!!! -1 I believe Pep Boy (Piedmont) misdiagnosed my car again! I had no choice but to bring my car to this particular location, because of the warranty that's on my vehicle. I had my car looked at by another mechanic before I brought it here and I had a diagnostics test done before I brought it here to this location. All I needed was a fuel pump which is covered through my warranty. But this Pep Boys somehow racked up a bill for $1,600 for some other stuff. And they still have my car it's been over a week! read more
