The worst service ever. I was there for hour and a half for them to tell me they couldn't fix my tire. Instead they wanted to replace all 4. I took the morning off of work to get this fixed. Also they took 3 people that came in after me first and took their precious time. I will never go back and I recommend you go somewhere else to get your car repaired. And to add to it. I drove a mile down the road and they fixed the tire in 15 minutes. read more

Moving back to Washington and found that I didn't have enough room in my car for all our luggage. Called around and places in the area only sold cargo carriers online. Spoke to a gentleman at Pep Boys that found they had both carriers and removable racks in the store. Was able to find what we need and he installed the rack for me. I am big on customer service as I work in the industry and I am over the moon about the service I recieved. Buyer Beware!!! I understand we go because of the prices but this is a case you get what you don't pay for bought new tires less than a year ago with Warranty don't fall for that I got a nail today in the middle of the tire very easy fix I am a mechanic so I know this. They told me they could not fix and I would have to but new tire (but it was $20 less then I paid new) So I will never buy from them again learned my lesson. went Down the street to Mcfalls tire and they fixed me right up. This is my second review due to the fact that the Store Manager is a complete liar. I was contacted by PepBoys after my Yelp review to explain in more detail what my bad experience was with the store. I did, was given a case number and in the e-mail it stated I would be contacted by the store manager within a max of 48 hours and if not contacted to call the phone number in the e-mail. When 48 hours passed and no contact, I called the number given and was connected to a gentleman I could not understand and I finally gave up and hung up after asking him to repeat himself several times. I immediately wrote an e-mail back to my contact stating my experience - not being contacted and not being able to understand the gentleman's accent on the phone. I just received an e-mail back stating that the Manager posted to my case and stated that I have refused to bring my car in for repair. How does he know this? I have not spoken to him. Maybe my hanging up on the customer service rep I couldn't understood meant I didn't want my problem fixed. Well, I do, but I am taking it elsewhere and paying for it. DO NOT TRUST this business at all. First the bait and switch with the product I purchased and now saying the manager stating I told him something when I never spoke to him! read more

The only reason i shop any pep boys for the past six years is to purchase with a credit card to keep it revolving and maintain a very good credit score. I 've done most maintenance and repair on all of my vehicles, wife's, and sons for the past 35 years so i have visited many auto parts stores this one takes the cake a few employee's seem helpful but most are young inexperienced and were never taught any manners. Example looked online for two power steering hoses store had 1 in stock other would be at store late after noon, did not order online because it will not take credit card. Went to store paid for both got one was told next am pick up ok went back and was told sorry we didn't get delivery from 25th VB store yesterday and we have no drivers to get it, i said ok i'll go get it. Went to 25th VB store was told none in stock and besides you can't go other store and just pick up yourself you need to go to Dysart store. On the way back just went to the zone and got the nose, Wife went back to store for refund wife explains situation to lady manager she looks at receipt what is this writing and why should i trust you, and how do i not know you already have it. Because i am a honest person wife replies. The manager would had known this if she just looked up the order instead of being rude and condescending. Gave this location another chance I called asked the gentleman on the phone what time they closed and stopped servicing vehicles. I was told 9 p.m I arrived at the location with my friend who needed to have her tire fixed. After speaking with the clerk he went out and looked at the tire and said Pep Boys was not able to fix the tire because of the location of the nail in the tire and that due to Pep Boys rules they were not allowed to fix it. I gave it the old college try of going back giving this location another try and they still have TERRIBLE SERVICE as usual. I have tried buying merchandise from this store on several occasion. It very close and easy to get to, but this is the last time. I will never trade with this outfit ever again or will I recommend it to anyone. There is absolutely no customer relation period.. If you ask for help they tell you that is not their job. I stood at the customer check out for at least ten minutes while the salespeople were standing in the store telling jokes, when they did see people standing and waiting to pay for their items they waited on the first customer through the door then wait on the line of customers that had already helped them selves while they are having a good time telling jokes. Very satisfied! The service we received here, we have not had in any auto shop. Very friendly, educated employees. Took the time to explain what needed to be serviced. Parts manager even came to speak with us after my truck was serviced. Had the oil changed, oil/air filters replaced and tire sensor replaced. Highly recommend! read more

Service is poor and unprofessional at best. I called ahead of time and made an appointment to have my transmission fluid exchanged. I checked in 30 minutes early after having to wait 10 minutes for someone to help me. Not because they were busy, but because there was no one at the front counter. After a long wait a portly unkempt fellow came to my aid. He addressed me "hey you" instead of "excuse me sir" multiple times. After checking in for my appointment it took them 45 minutes to pull my truck around, I guess making an appointment means nothing. I was told it would take about a hour to finish my service, which was quite simple in nature. Four hours later, I was still sitting in the customer lounge with a broken TV. Luckily, there was a large family of small screaming Hispanic children to keep me company. The bathroom was so dirty I considered calling the health department. Broken toilet with trash and graffiti everywhere, not to mention urine and feces. Every time I went out back to check on progress I noticed all of the service personnel standing around talking, instead of working. This is a prime example of a business run by weak leadership and very poor management. It is without a doubt the product of a system that requires companies to hire people based on what ethnic groups they belong to, instead of hiring the most qualified applicant. Businesses like this survive because people will put up with poor service for momentary convenience. I recommend you take your money to a place where people will work hard to earn you business and patronage. read more

Went in to have my oil changed and now I have a loud power steering pump that needs to be replaced. After the oil change the tech came in and said he noticed the belt was squeaking when he pulled it in. He told me that usually means the belt is loose. He said he would tighten it up and see if the squeak went away. About 10 minutes later he came in, handed me my keys and said I was good to go. Went outside and started my car and the power steering pump was make a noise. I pulled to the bays and popped the hood and called for the tech, told him it wasn't making that noise when I brought it in. He said it was. I think I know my own vehicle. Got in and went to the gas station to fill up and pooped the hood to take another look. The reservoir was overflowing power steering fluid and fluid was also coming out of the weep hole on the power steering pump. Took the car back up there the next day and they said it was nothing that they did. Guess my power steering pump just decided to go out that night....at Pep Boys. Called 1-800-PEP-BOYS and filed a complaint and was called back by the service manager and the store manager. They said it was not caused by their tech. The service manager did say if I were to buy a new power steering pump they would install it labor free. Why would they offer to to install it if it was not their fault? I told them i would never let them touch my vehicle ever again. I would not recommend this Pep Boys to anyone. Better off going to a mom and pop shop. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. These guys are dishonest and nickel and dime you instead of fixing it right the first time. I took my sons car in to have the AC checked. They charged me $200 to do the complete check and told me there was a leak in the discharge hose so I had it fixed. ONE WEEK later it started blowing hot air again so I figured it wasn't fixed right so I took it back thinking it would be covered under their warranty. They told me there was another leak from a different location and that is was going to cost me another $500. I talked to their service manager Ignacio and told him I didn't trust them and asked him why they didn't tell me there were other issues when they first checked it. He said they didn't know so I complained and he got the cost down to $350 so I had them fix it AGAIN like an idiot. Now ONE MONTH later it's blowing hot air again. I'm so disgusted with these guys. I always used Pep Boys in Peoria and NEVER had a problem with those guys. Now I'm out $866.73 and the problem still isn't fixed and this is my sons only transportation to and from school and work and we don't have the time or the money to keep taking the car back. Why can't these guys just do honest work? If the entire unit needed to be replaced they should have told me in the beginning. I'm now forwarding this case to their corporate office in Philadelphia and am filing a complaint with the BBB bad repairs. Please don't go to this location. Wish I could give 0 stars. I had an oil change here done on 11/08/2016 due to just moving to AZ and had drove here from CA. I scheduled an appointment and was quoted it would take around 45 mins to an hour, so i decided to stick around. After about an hour of waiting i decided to see what was going on as i saw my vehicle still on the lift. I was told they were checking all my rotors, sweet. I was then told about 30 mins later that my rotors needed to be replaced and my brake pads were also needing to be replaced. Thats funny because i had just purchased brake pads the previous day from them and the rotors less than a year ago! When asked why they needed to be replaced, the service tech said they looked worn and that i may be able to get away with resurfacing the rotors, but they did not offer it. I then let him know that i just bought the brake pads the previous day and he was the one who helped me out, he denied it, but i have the receipts proving it. I denied them permission to "fix" them and wanted to take my vehicle to another shop, so he had the tires put back on and i paid for my oil change. That same day i went next door to S&S and had them check out my rotors and brakes. The tech had my vehicle up in minutes and immediately came back to me and said everything looked fine and the pads looked brand new. Hmmm what do you know! There i was, on the road again, or so i thought. About a month later my car started to leak a little bit of oil. Odd because I've never had an issue, but thought maybe it was a small leak. My car is too low to the ground, so to check if it was my car leaking i stuck a piece of cardboard under my car. The next couple days i didn't notice any oil, so i thought it wasn't my vehicle and was told that my engine may be burning oil and to top it up and watch it for the next couple of weeks. Fast forward to January 15th, my wife called and told me that the vehicle was over heating, great another issue. She came home and i noticed the coolant was completely empty. I then checked the oil and saw it was extremely low. At this point i made an appointment with the dealership. I dropped off the vehicle and within an hour of having my vehicle, the tech called and stated my oil filter was so loose, they were amazed that it had stayed on. They let me know that the oil was leaking from there and since there was not much oil the car basically drank the coolant to keep it from overheating, but once that ran out it did overheat. He then asked that i check my garage and see if my vehicle sits at an angle because that would explain why i didn't have any oil leak while it was in the garage. I ended up having to pay for the diagnosis and all parts to fix my vehicle because of a shitty oil change. I called Pep Boys and asked to speak with a service manager to explain my situation, no apology, just referring me to the 800 number and not willing to help out. I will never do business here again and will make sure to go out of my way to explain my experience to others and hope they do not have services done here. I came in on a Saturday morning because the oil change appointment I had somewhere else fell through and I really needed to get one done. I know that you should always call and get an appointment because places like this are busy, especially on Saturdays. I asked the manager, Ignacio, if there was any chance they could fit me in. He was pleasant and said they could do it, but it would take about 45 minutes. I was fine with that because I really needed it done. The only reason I took one star away is because I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes and no one came over to tell me that it was going to take a bit longer. I know that they fit me in when they didn't have to, so I didn't mind waiting that long, but an update would have been nice. When I went to check out, Ignacio was very pleasant again and used a coupon on the oil change even though I didn't ask for it. I thought that was very nice of him. Good service.
