Went in for a quote for tires. Adam E. greeted me & I gotta say he has to be the friendliest & most personable guy I've ever encountered at any auto related business. Also very informative & showed me the screens he was looking at for brands & availability that fit my car. Price was right, so I went ahead & had the tires installed. The job was done in only about half the anticipated time. I will definitely go back when it's time for routine maintenance, etc. PS: The manager (also named Adam) was very nice, too. read more

So annoyed! This is my second time there bc last summer they replaced my alternator and serpentine belt. They quoted my bf over the phone but overcharged me when I picked it up. The guy that was helping me was super friendly (Adam i think) but after I questioned the price, another guy just butt in. He acted irritated and impatient with me, pointing all over the computer screen at numbers so fast I couldn't even follow. I just paid, thinking maybe he was right. Told my bf later, who said they did overcharge me. He went to the store to complain and Steven Bono (who was apparently very nice and helpful) credited me and said my next oil change would be free. So months pass and i finally went to get my free oil change. I asked them if they could also check my battery light bc ever since they did work on my car, my light has randomly been going on/off intermittently for a few seconds at a time. I had it checked somewhere else last year and i was told there was nothing wrong with it but i wanted to check again. Front desk guy showed me a piece of paper that said my battery readings were REALLY bad and some long explanation about my battery and alternator. Made it seem like oh my gosh you better do something about this right away bc your battery is about to die on you and it could be bc of my alternator too. Well well well, I pulled out my receipt from last summer and said well you guys were the ones who changed my alternator last year AND I have a lifetime warranty. And then all of a sudden his tune seemed to change and it was probably just my battery that was the problem bc my alternator should be good then... and I could switch it out but OHHH then they would have to figure out where they got it from and i would have to make an appt etc etc. Didn't make it seem emergent anymore. So whatever, i was like ok I'll just go back to where i got my battery and have them check it again. I left and went to sams club where the guy checked right in front of me and said my battery was completely fine. Two guys there looked at the slip with the results from pep boys and pointed out "the date on this isn't even today's date." and said maybe someone was just trying to get me to buy something i didn't need. I called pep boys back and the same front desk guy said maybe the equipment at sams was defective and that sams readings didn't even make sense (which i verified later with autozone AND Honda that they DID make sense). To give pep boys the benefit of the doubt, I went to Honda the next morning and they also tested right in front of me and showed me that my battery was completely fine. Similar readings as sams club .The guy looked at the pep boys results, smirked and said "with those readings your car wouldn't even start!" He also told me that they were probably trying to pull one over me. Now it makes me wonder bc there were two other women sitting in the waiting room with me that were also met with bad news for which they seemed surprised. Sounded like one lady just came for an oil change. Suffice to say, unless their alternator fails on me, I will NOT be bringing my car back there again. Maybe they are nice but maybe they also just pick and choose who will be a good unsuspecting victim. I stopped in on Wednesday 11/20-2019 at the store in Land o' Lakes, Fl. on SR 54 because my car was rough starting. The guy at the front desk was happy to help. I informed him that I wasn't sure if the Alternator was bad and he said that he would run a check. He did and yes, the alternator was bad, he even showed me how bad it was from the printout on their machine... He stated "Today must be alternator day, your car, her car that truck and one over there needs an alternator". He said with Labor it would run me about $697. With that many alternators bad on one day, at one store, I went for a second opinion. Tire Kingdom on 54 ran the same check for me. I asked if the alternator was bad... He stated "No, its charging just fine, but your battery is almost dead, I would replace it". It was under warranty, so after replacing my FREE battery I haven't had any problems with my alternator. My car runs like a top! Thank you TIRE KINGDOM, you saved me $697 and have earned all my business from here on out. DO NOT waste your time with Manny, Moe and Rip Off! read more

The absolute worst experience I've ever had with any mechanic. First they did a lousy brake job. My brakes literally fell off as I was driving, causing even more damage. I took it back and they replaced all parts under warranty but still made me pay $150 for labor which was bad in the first place. The store manager (Adam) lied to my face about a bad caliper in the front of my truck, told me both front calipers were leaking and had to be replaced and that it would run me $1200 so I took my keys and had some other people check it out only to find out that I could completely fix my truck for $200 and the parts he was talking about didn't even need replacing. On top of all of this, when I turned him down and got my keys I opened the door and noticed that everything had been taken out of my center console and not been put back. I then looked through my truck to find that ever compartment, pouch, etc. EVERYTHING had been messed with. papers all over, seats up, etc. there's was not one single item in my truck that was in the same place that it was when I left it with them. This store has caused nothing but problems for me. the man that owns this store and all of his employees are NOT to be trusted. They repeatedly lie and try to finesse every penny that they can out of your pocket. DO NOT GO TO THIS PEP BOYS read more

Ive been shopping around for 4 tires ,for my suv and my wife suv. After researching different brand at multiple locations. I finally called Pepboys in lutz fl. I spoke with Adam E, and he was very knowledgeable and gave me great recommendations. Im happy to say not all tires are equal.i may not have paid for the cheapest tires, but im 100 percent satisfied. Everyone there was so polite and welcoming. I even had another discount from the manager, since i bought eight total tires for two vehicles. I drove pass multiple tire shop to get to Pepboys in lutz.
