I am extremely disappointed with the service at the Pep Boys Simi Valley location. We brought our car in for a tire replacement (passenger side) and alignment. Before the service, all four tires on the vehicle were a matching set of Sentury tires in consistent condition. Immediately after the service, while still in the parking lot, we noticed that the driver-side tire was different. It had been replaced with a Sentury Pantera tire, which is a different and lower-grade model, and it was visibly more worn than the rest of the tires. This was not something that could have happened due to alignment or driving -- it was noticeable right away. The situation became more serious when we later drove on the freeway and the tire started making loud abnormal noise, creating a dangerous driving condition. We no longer felt safe using the vehicle and had to get the tire replaced at another Pep Boys location at our own expense. We also discovered that our original tire was removed without authorization, and we were never informed that we could retain it instead of having it discarded. We opened a case with Pep Boys corporate (#312834) and followed up multiple times over more than two weeks. The only response we received was that the case was "escalated," but no one contacted us or provided any resolution. When we finally spoke with someone from the Simi Valley location, they denied everything without providing any actual evidence and only offered a discount instead of addressing the issue. This experience shows a lack of professionalism, accountability, and concern for customer safety. Replacing or altering a tire without authorization and then ignoring the issue is unacceptable. We are now forced to escalate this matter further. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location. read more

I have taken my car to this Pep Boys shop location before and service manager Mr. Paul Green always helped me with my car repairs in past and I must say that he is one honest and hard working working man. He always let me know what was wrong with my car and gave me estimates on cost in advance. Then he would call me throughout the day and give me updates on repairs progress. His work is fast and he dose everything possible to keep the cost down. I thought Mr. Green was the only one in that store that I could trust and rely on but this time another manager helped me with my car repairs. Mr Marcoz Hernadez was in charge this time. He knew that I had to rent a car while my car was being worked on. He called me twice and informed be how much it would cost item by item and told me he would do his best to keep my expense low and return my car to me as fast as possible. He did both. I got my car one day earlier and he saved me over $150. This is the only place that I have repaired my car that they work on saving people time and money. If you live in Simi Valley and you need car repairs, do yourself a favor and take your car to this Pep Boys. They are on your side. Not only they do their best to fix your car quickly but also save you money. PS. I didn't have a rid home Mr. Green was kind enough to give me a ride home too. read more

Two cashiers on the sales floor were incompetent and yet full of themselves at the same time and should have been cussed out for being such morons. They told me, over the phone when I talked to them, and I mean both of them because I remember their names, that the item which I bought online to pick up in store was in fact in store and ready for me to pick up. Then when I get there they say that it wasn't really ever at the store and that it wasn't Pep Boy's fault for making me waste time and gas money. Then these two morons said that it was kind of naive of me to believe that the product would be delivered to the store so soon. When in reality it was originally supposed to have been delivered to the store the day before also and it fucking wasn't. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt and just believe that they weren't receiving enough oxygen to their brain matter on both of those days. In the end I just cancelled the order and have elected to never purchase from Pep Boys ever again. Update: To Corporate who just contacted me about my complaint after seeing my post. No I am not going to talk about the experience with you because if I ever wanted to do that I would have contacted you. Which is why I typed up this review and posted it on Yelp so that you wouldn't be capable of sweeping it under the rug. read more

I had an exceptional experience at Pep Boys in Simi Valley, thanks to Diana, the manager, and Edris, the master technician. They truly went above and beyond to make a bad situation great. Initially, there was a problem with the work done on my car, but Diana and Edris were quick to address it and made sure everything was corrected to my satisfaction. From the moment I walked in, Diana's professionalism and warmth put me at ease. She listened attentively to my concerns and ensured that I felt heard. Edris, the master technician, displayed unparalleled expertise in diagnosing and resolving the issues with my car. He explained the repairs in a clear and understandable manner, giving me peace of mind about the work being done. Edris's attention to detail was remarkable, especially when it came to rectifying the initial mistake. He took great pride in his work and made sure it was done correctly this time. Together, Diana and Edris turned what could have been a stressful and costly repair into a seamless and pleasant experience. If there is one word to describe Pep Boys in Simi Valley, CA it would have to be "Family" because that's how you get treated every time. The Service Manager Nelson is very professional and honest with you. I've been in Simi Valley for 7 yrs now and I'd have to say that Nelson has totally made a change in the Maintenance Service Dept. Now I know why everyone goes to the Boys cause the service is top notch. I now take my car, the wife's car and my daughter's car to Nelson, Eric, or Manny for any maintenance. They make sure that the work they do will keep you and your family safe. They even take the time to break it down "Barny Style" if you don't understand. Which I've seen first hand with my daughter and other customers. The Technicians are also very professional and friendly. Klause is always fun to chat with if you ever get a chance :-) read more

I brought my truck in because it desperately needed tires. I spoke with Paul Green the service manager and gave him the low down of what my Financial situation was. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He took his time and treated me like I actually mattered to him. This guy and his entire staff are top notch. Two thumbs up for sure!!! I recently came to get 4 new tires, an oil change, new wipers and floor mats for my Jeep, I really liked how quick and efficient they were on getting everything done. It only took 2 hours, I got to have a great lunch while I waited. I was very pleased with (NELSON) the representative that rang me up, he explained everything and gave me such great service, I had an issue with my credit card not going thru, he was very patient with me and waited until I resolved the issue. I went to this shop for an oil change with no prior oil leaks, but now my car is leaking oil due to a damaged drain plug. They attributed the issue to the previous oil change and quoted me over $500 to replace the entire oil pan. I wasn't informed of any leaks when I left. However, the next morning, I discovered oil stains on my driveway. Despite informing the shop, they claimed they couldn't help. Frustrated, I filed a complaint on the Pepboys website, but have yet to receive a response. I won't return to this shop and won't recommend it to anyone. read more

I had a great experience at Pep Boys! I came in for a full service--oil change, suspension, filters, brakes, tires, and spark plugs--and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. The manager, Paulo, is awesome! He's trustworthy, very communicative, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the work being done and made sure I was comfortable with every step. He is perhaps the BEST service advisor I have ever had the GOOD fortune to have met. I bought a battery for my car less than 3 years ago but it seemed to have problems. I went to the Simi Pepboys and the service department confirmed a cell was bad. While I removed the battery Cindy came out to write down the information to have a new one ready. Cindy's prompt service and help made my troublesome battery replacement a positive. I came to get a tire for my scion tc,dealer quoted me a fortune for just one tire. I came to the boys and was helped by nelson on getting a good price tire. I recommend coming to the boys to see amazing prices on just about anything. Also, retail side Daniel and Ulises were very helpful on giving an estimate for front rotors and brake pads. It was dark and rainy tonight and my windshield wipers were in really bad shape. I was hoping Pep Boys had a good selection so i went there. Thank goodness Brett asked if I needed help. He suggested a brand and picked out the right wipers for my car AND put them on free of charge within minutes of me purchasing them. The wipers work perfectly! What a difference!
