Pepper's was perfect! We had salad, soup, and chicken dishes and they were all great, the warm dishes were hot and the salad was fresh. The best part was the homemade pies and baked goods! I'll start it off with a 5. Pretty standard diner fare but it's nice to have an all day restaurant in Healdsburgh again. I had bacon and eggs which is not earth shattering if cooked right but can be pretty aggravating when it doesn't come out the way you ordered it. 3 eggs over easy, bacon was good, not crispy but good quality. The other night I had our dinner door-dashed from Peppers. My kids absolutely love it and ask for it all the time. Ashley was amazing and made called to ask if my gf order was ok in a lettuce wrap since they were out of bread. Ambiance is nice, but the owner or manager was sitting at the bar talking with his employees. Just about work and life, but I found it off putting. Super slow and I was one of two couples. My food all came at once-salad and chicken Marsala chicken needed SALT and seasoning. Just an ok dinner not elevated. I've heard breakfast is better. For Healdsburg wine menu was non-existent. No water refill and waitress didn't ask how food was. Had potential. read more

So good. Staying at a hotel down the street and this was the only walkable option. I was sorta iffy given the expansive menu but... I was wrong. Got a bacon cheeseburger, rib eye steak and chili. Everything was amazing. The French fries appear to be double fried and excellent. The steak and cheeseburger were perfectly cooked. It's a new restaurant. My ribeye steak was delicious. The veggies are steamed and I think they're buttered. They were delicious too. Mashed taters are mashed taters. Hard to ruin those. Service was great. I tried to order online for pickup, but something went wrong and the order didn't finalize. I was staying at the hotel in the same parking lot, so I just walked over and ordered. I added breakfast because they open at 7am and I needed breakfast earlier. It's hard to comment on ambiance because the place is new and not too many people have found it. I was there around 6pm and there wasn't many people there. It's a nice diner style restaurant with good food. I'll come back next time I'm in town. read more

I have been to Pepper's twice in Healdsburg. The first time was with my wife and the second was by myself. Both times I had excellent meals. The first time I had the steak Marsala with mushrooms, baked potato and veggies. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Marsala was delicious. My wife had a salad which she enjoyed. The second time I had the prime rib which was amazing along with a baked potato and salad. The service was impeccable and the waitresses were absolutely fantastic. For looking more like a diner from the outside the atmosphere is fantastic once you go inside. read more

I was staying at a lovely nearby hotel, The Montage, and was disappointed to miss the breakfast hour as I was craving eggs. My husband found this "diner" and reviews said it was very good. Let me add my voice to the choir. It is unassuming, reasonably priced, warm as any neighborhood diner with friendly staff and great service, but OMG, the food was AMAZING!!! We came back the next day on our way back home to the Peninsula. I had a scramble the first day with veggies. The vegetables were very fresh, cooked al dente but thoroughly, and were bursting with flavor (peppers, spinach, jalapenos, etc.), They were served with a scramble over the house potatoes. The meal was not greasy (I requested no butter). The eggs were hot and fluffy. Everything was well flavored but not overly salty. And they were so friendly about adding special requests (additional vegetables, no butter, etc.). So often establishments will give me a hard time about ordering anything not exactly as presented on the menu. The next day I ordered the chicken picatta with a baked potato and fresh vegetables. It came with mashed, but I'm trying to stay away from cream and butter. This way I was able to order 2% milk instead of butter and it was naturally creamy. The chicken was tender, perfect thickness, wonderfully flavored and ample. Once again the vegetables were perfectly cooked, al dente as opposed to soggy and yet cooked thoroughly. I had just eaten at some top restaurants, very fancy and very expensive. They had nothing on this fine little local diner and their superb chefs! read more
