Great poker room, lots of tables, cool chips. There's only one blind for the No Limit games. -Anthonyxibarrax

The 3-5 games are uncapped at Peppermill Reno.

I have played in just about every poker room in Nevada and the room at Peppermill is definitely the best. First off, the room itself is fantastic following the 2011 renovation. It's got 19 tables with over 30 TVs and always the best action in Reno. The Peppermill has also made a point to set the standard when it comes to rake. Over the last decade, they have constantly been the cheapest at the $5 blind level. A big part of the reason for this room's success is the staff. The room is led by former poker pro Mike Nelson, who is one of the hardest working and most progressive poker room managers you will fold. He is a big part of why Run it up Reno has become internationally known. The room is also managed by Rena Albertazzi and Cathi Wood, who do an amazing job handling the room's high volume of players and keeping the games running on a daily basis. The dealers are also great. Long time favorites like Brett, Len, Eric, and Stormy deal fast and make the atmosphere great. The games are best Thursday thru Sunday, but that doesn't mean those are the only days there will be action. Lately there have been games seven days a week.

I really like the whole casino but I think the poker room is the nicest in Reno. The room was very comfortable and a great atmosphere plus lots of promotions. I was there in the morning but a lot of games were getting sign up action. Plus the sports book was one of the nicest I've seen

How much is the buffet for senor?

Mario, the Peppermill does not have a buffet. We do have 9 dining venues from fine dining to fast casual.

Do you indeed have a Saturday tournament that pays out $10k? I'm looking at your website and I can't see any 'fine print' saying it isn't so... What are the details?

We have our $40K Slot Tournament today (Sunday) and tomorrow. Signups are from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the first round of the tournament starting at 3:00 pm.

Do you have a 5-10 NL game regularly and if so, what is the maximum buyin for that game?

No, we do not regularly spread $5/$10 because our $5 NL games are already so large and action oriented. We spread 1 to 5 games daily of a single big blind $5 NL game. The…

What's limit poker do they offer?

Primarily we deal $3/$6 holdem for our limit players…. Multiple games daily. But we do create interest lists by player request.…

The room was clean and accommodating with basic amenities. We used their Tuscana Spa for pedicure and massage services and lovednit. Last night we ate at Chi, their Asian fare diningroom and loved it, too. There isca Walgreens about 2 blocks to the right side of the resort, and I found it very convenient. We had coffee at their coffee shop this morning, wishing they had a Starbucks. But their coffee was very good. We watched the Marocco vs Canada game in the lobby and had a margaritas and a Cranberry Juice. The bartender was super friendly. Our children will join us tomorrow. But we like everything so far. They even have additional requests section on their booking page where I requested extra things like towels. We did not receive any of those requests. Room: King, Tuscany Suite with a balcony. The room was really nothing special, as time went on we began to notice more small concerns. The first was that the ottoman at the end of our bed was stained which felt off putting. Much of the furniture and room decor was dusty. It seemed like the whole room just needed a deep clean and detail because it appeared well used. The "balcony" was just a patio space with really well loved furniture. It was also funny because our view was the worker entrance/exit so we really one saw people coming to and leaving work. Casino: This was by far the worst casino I have been too. The machines had very low RTP and rarely gave bonus games. It wasn't very well kept, drink glasses would pile up and sit. The staff seemed off putting and not very helpful. The bonuses offered weren't all that great either. Pool: The pool was decent but could use better planning. My hope would be that one of the pool decks becomes a 21+ space. Adults on vacation at a "luxury" hotel don't want to swim with kids. The hot tubs were even occupied by kids which made it unenjoyable and hard to relax. Spa: We didn't even bother with the spa because I called them prior to our stay and got sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail hoping for a call back but never received one. Overall, not worth the expensive price and we will likely not return to stay at the Peppermill.

To their credit, they arranged accommodations at another hotel, although it was not comparable to the one we had reserved. Wanting to give them another opportunity, we booked another stay this year. Unfortunately, the experience was even more disappointing. Our check-in was delayed until 5:00 p.m. because the room was not ready, despite the advertised 4:00 p.m. check-in time. Once we entered the room, we discovered the air conditioning was not functioning properly and the desk lamp was broken. We called for assistance at approximately 5:30 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m. after no one responded. Someone finally arrived around 11:00 p.m., after we had already gone to bed. The lamp was replaced, but the air conditioning was never addressed during that visit. The following morning, we discovered the bathroom floor was soaked due to a leaking toilet. Maintenance confirmed the issue, placed towels on the floor, and returned later to repair it. During that visit, they were also able to fix the air conditioning. Later that morning, we found that one of the mugs in our room had not been properly cleaned. While this would normally be a minor issue, it became part of a pattern of poor housekeeping and maintenance. When we returned to our room that evening, we found another leak--this time water was coming from the ceiling. To make matters worse, my friend discovered blood stains on her comforter that had been concealed beneath the sheet. When we reported these issues to the front desk, there appeared to be no record of our previous maintenance requests or completed service calls, which was extremely concerning. A manager later offered us a $100 dining credit. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I do not believe it adequately reflected the extent of the problems we encountered throughout our stay. Grand Sierra positions itself as one of Reno's premier hotels, and with that reputation comes an expectation of quality, cleanliness, and responsive service. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because guests should not experience repeated maintenance failures, cleanliness issues, and communication breakdowns during what is supposed to be a relaxing stay.

In the morning, we waited over 30 minutes while valet staff searched for another guest's lost key. Later that same evening, we ended up experiencing the exact same thing ourselves. The valet staff lost our key and it took over 20 minutes for them to locate it. They did not think to hire more staff for the busy Memorial Day weekend and the basketball/volleyball/adult softball tournaments that were going on in the area. The night before we had to leave our car halfway in the street because valet was so backed up. The guest service manager told us to leave it half away in the street. The next day the same manager blamed the desk agent for losing our key when they did the same thing in the morning when she wasn't there. Unfortunately, this caused us to be late to a magic show we were attending at Grand Sierra Resort. I understand mistakes can happen, but seeing the same issue happen multiple times in one day shows a serious lack of organization and professionalism. Valet should make the experience smoother, not create unnecessary stress and delays.

I asked the security guard on duty for directions, and not only did he give me clear instructions, but he also personally escorted me to the escalators I needed to take upstairs. That level of customer service really stood out to me. Once upstairs, Ursula greeted me with a smile at the register and even joked about "ONLY having four hours left" in her shift when I asked how her day was going. I was seated right away, and my drink order was taken almost immediately by Hachib. Hachib was probably the most impressive waiter I've seen in a very long time. He was kind, polite, funny, and genuinely engaged with the guests. He even suggested a drink when he noticed I wasn't sure what I wanted. Watching him interact with the other guests around me, it was clear that he truly enjoys what he does and takes pride in going above and beyond. The food was good, but the service I experienced was phenomenal. Because of the outstanding staff, I will definitely be coming back -- and often.

Welcome to Baldinis: Where the worst things happen…read more The only reason they are getting two stars is for the food. DO NOT COME HERE TO GAMBLE AT ALL COSTS. Period. I've been here at least 20 times and every single time they widdle down your money and you will leave with nothing you came in with. Slots are horrible, Keno never hits, not sure about video poker but I'd be willing to bet (with a much better chance at winning than if I were to bet anything here) that the poker is garbage too. Standard service, not anything to write home about. This is clearly a hang out spot for people that are already poor and Baldinis makes good and sure they stay that way. You know how you walk in a casino and hear or see lots of people hitting jackpots? Not this place. Just people chain smoking to calm their anxiety of getting robbed once again by the infamous Baldinis. Terrible casino. They will try and hook you with promotions but they are only to get you to show up and feel like you have a chance at winning something but you will indeed win nothing so save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Of all the Casinos in Reno/Sparks the places that hit the hardest have proven time and again to be Sierra Sid's (right down the street on McCarran) and Peppermill. I've given this place too many chances to redeem themselves but I always walk out of here irritated. They don't even give you small wins on any of the machines to break you in at even or slightly above. Every machine is the same thing: win slightly less than you're betting to chase a dragon that does not exist. Food is notably priced but again that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. As a Casino this place is more than deserving of a full Zero Stars.
