We had a group of 16 women staying at one of the beach houses in Oak Island. On the last day of our trip, we wanted to order delivery that wasn't just pizza. We found Pepperoni Grill's website and placed a large delivery order. One nice thing was the variety of food: pastas, calzones, pizzas, subs, appetizers, etc. The food was brought upstairs by the delivery driver, which was so unexpected and kind! All the food was still hot and everything tasted great, and the portion sizes were great. read more

We order pizza from here ALL the time! The only runner-up that is in my book is Brooklyn Pizza in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This pizza is super good though! We usually get the Large Pepperoni Pizza with an order of garlic knots! I am a huge lover of garlic knots, so I know a delicious one when I have it. These could use just a little work but they do the job for me since Brooklyn Pizza is 2 hours away and I dont like frozen pizza. My husband and I always either get it to go or have it delivered, but the staff is ALWAYS sweet when we have an encounter with them! The place was hopping for a Wednesday night in late March! Staff was very friendly and inviting. Fried pickles were fantastic. Pizza was way better than any chain restaurant. Very, very good food! They were incredibly busy when we went in and the wait was a little longer than anticipated (they did warn us though) but the food was worth the wait! Pepperoni's works for me. I'm a fan of marinara and melted Italian cheese in various manifestations, and they haven't disappointed. There is enough variety to allow my group of five kids, 21 down to 17 years old (four females), and my vegan wife, to fill their needs, which is an accomplishment. Staff is pleasant enough, again, an accomplishment considering the variety of tourists they must deal with. Parking lot is kind of a hot mess, partly because people forget they're driving sometimes when they are on vacation. If you have a monster pick-up to park, you win. Expect a wait, have a back-up plan when you can't get a table for dine-in. This rating was 4-1/2 stars, I rounded up because there are Grateful Dead lp covers hanging in the men's room. After a long drive from RDU, we were starving coming in to Oak Island. Decided to order takeout to pickup on our way to the house based on reviews. waited for the lunch special for 40 minutes when we were told it would only take 15. we sat out on the patio and other tables were the complimentary garlic bread but us. the girls delivering the garlic bread frequently checked up the other customers but gave us the side eye. very disappointed in this experience because we usually love this place. probably not coming back here ever. read more

I was looking for the best pizza on Oak Island. This place had great reviews and came up as #1 on yelp. We were not disappointed. We had 50 wings and 4 pizzas. Everything was delicious. The crust was wonderful. A young member of our group told me he usually does not eat pizza crust, but this pizza crust was great and he ate all of it. He is also from PA/NY area so he knows what good pizza is. The wings were also large and cooked perfect. We did take out. They have seating inside, but the area is small. I will be back. A local in the area told me this place has the best NY style pizza in all of the Wilmington area. I cant confirm that, but this place is great and will be our new "go to" for pizza. read more

This place is pretty good. My family is obsessed with this place so we always seem to get it a lot. I had high expectations with my family's raving reviews. I don't think it's the greatest pizza ever, their crust is actually a little bland most days. I got their spaghetti once and it was okay, wouldn't get it again. Their garlic knots were lacking flavor. I've been pretty underwhelmed with everything I've gotten, but nothing has been bad. Fairly standard prices. If you really want pizza, it's a good spot. My husband and I opted for takeout on our last night in town because it was easy and our kitchen was all packed up. The small pizza and garlic knots fed both of us with no leftovers. This review is based on my delivery experience. The two item order took over an hour to be delivered when I was quoted 45 minutes. The pizza was not good. The flavor was lacking, and the topping amount was parsimonious. Some slices had only three-four pieces of pepperoni. Also, it was really annoying that the driver didn't bring any change with him. I'm not sure why people think this is good food. Maybe being from the tri-state area I just have a significantly different idea of what pizza should taste like. I would recommend frozen Ellio's brand over what I was served. read more

First time ordering from Pepperoni Grill. I picked up a large pie and Greek Salad. Unfortunately when we got home we had to microwave each slice of pizza prior to eating it. I do think the pizza was still tasty and probably would have been really good if super hot. Greek Salad was ok. Weird they have a Greek Salad but not a Greek salad dressing. We settled for balsamic vinaigrette which was yummy. We ended our meal with an order of the mini cannoli's. One order has two small cannolis. I thought the cannoli cream was delicious. The outside was a little too crunchy in my opinion. Definitely not the best but not the worst.
