Worst service ever! Waited 45 minutes to find out my pizza wasn't even in the oven yet after being told it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I questioned if my pizza was in the oven the "gentleman" behind the counter was rude and disrespectful. Asked what I expected, they were busy. I guess they don't need my business. My family and I find the drive to this pizzeria convenient. Unfortunately, (even after all the times we have it another chance) app good things end right when we walk in through the door. The service is okay. The guys behind the counter are completely pissed at selling pizza whenever we go there. Even when we try our best to be nice. The waitresses are nice to us. The pizza however, is inconsistently mediocre at best. At first, we enjoyed it. Wanting more. Next time we went, everything changed. The pizza was soggy and oily. Stopped in today for the first time. I have to eat lunch on the fly, so it has to be quick and simple. The pizza was quite good. I had a regular cheese slice and a chicken slice. It was later on in the lunch cycle (about 2:30pm), but the pizza was reasonably fresh. I am very fussy about pizza, but any pizza snob knows that pizza degrades rather quickly once removed from the oven. It becomes soggy and the sauce thickens. My personal preference is oven-fresh and so oven-hot that it burns your mouth. This pizza was was crisp and tasty, despite being reheated. I also like that they had all of the usual seasonings right near the counter. Service was quick, if not overly cordial. Now, I have seen other comments here complaining about how unfriendly they are. I did not encounter this at all. They were polite enough and were just running their business. Besides, I just want a couple of slices, I am not looking to make new friends or have my butt kissed over a whopping $8 lunch order. I placed my order, paid, ate, and left. Works fine for me. The place is nice and clean, very modern and tasteful, with nice booths to sit and eat your lunch. When I am in the area again, I will probably return. Very unfriendly. I called in an order and when I walked in to pick it up they didn't acknowledge me standing at the counter for 2 min. When he did acknowledge me he was very rude. May I add it wasn't busy and the server was just standing around and didn't even greet me. Not to mention 6$ for a small Caesar salad, and it was very small. Ridiculous. Moved up from Da' BRONX so I know Pizza, PEPPINOS is a blessing in Yorktown Heights, I use to order from Yorktown Pizza but I have now been told I'm technically .2 miles out of thier delivery zone...Pizza was nothing to rave about anyway just close... You know a good pizza place from their regular plain slice, and theirs is absolutely perfect....extremely thin, yet crispy, sauce to cheese ratio is on point, it's as close as you can get to an Arthur ave. Pizza. The specialty slices are great too, honestly everything I've ever ordered is delicious. The most arrogant and rudest place I have ever spent my money at. Been there a few times. The owners son it truly one of the most obnoxious people I have met. How about an attempt at a smile or a simple thank you.? We are fortunate that we have some great pizza restaurants in our area and this place isn't even close to being one of them. I almost forgot, I have never had something microwaved in a real pizza place ( they pre-heated my chicken parm roll in the microwave) but I can't say never anymore. Spend your money at other places in the area where they APPRECIATE and THANK YOU for your business. Peppino's knows how to make sauce. They make tasty dinners and delicious meatballs though I have not yet tried the pizza.

I switched to ordering here. They're quick to deliver and care about customer. Careful of Friday's, they run out of slices, but still offer pies and entrees. read more

Went there for lunch with my girlfriend and when ordering the young man gave us such an attitude. Like we were bothering him. Anyway got our food and it was good but when we went to refill our drinks they have a sign saying REFILLS $1. Are you kidding. We just spent $30 on food and you want to charge for refills. When we went to pay the young man who we later found out is the owners son, didn't even say thank you. If your. To happy working there go get a job somewhere else. Definitely will not be going back to Peppinos any time soon. Called today at 4 o'clock and ordered pies to be picked up at 6. When I arrived they said they didn't even out the pizzas in the oven yet. They took my money as soon as I walked in but didn't put the pizzas in until 6 30. I had 25 people waiting at my house. In addition to not having them ready the men behind the counter were extremely rude to everyone. There are enough pizzerias in the area that are just as good and the people are nicer. I have lived in the area for about a year now and on some Friday nights I work late and I drive past 3 pizza places including this one. I usually stop here because its the closest to my house. The pizza isn't really anything to talk about but I went here for the convenience factor. The men behind the counter are never nice which is surprising since they are a customer service based business. I have NEVER been greeted with a Hello, Hi, smile or a simple friendly acknowledgement and I have been here atleast 10 times. I understand they are a busy place and probably have a large customer base but by now I should be somewhat familiar. I usually get a plain slice to go, nothing fancy. The prices at this place are ridiculous and honestly not even worth it. Tonight when I was charged 50 cents for a side of Parmesan cheese that is normally free they lost my business. It wasn't just the cheese it was a culmination of poor customer service, mediocre food and price gouging. If I was to eat in then it would have been free. The guy " cut me a deal" because my usual ~2.65 every other time I have came went up to $3.34 and I brought three dollars with me. Its a shame that they are not more customer driven. I love supporting local businesses. I guess I will have to try the other places on my home now. read more
