I have moved a few times in NYC without movers, intentionally. I have heard horror stories. For this particular move, I am in between apartments. I needed movers but storage as well. Lilian and Alexandra were a pleasure to speak to for my various options on quotes. Lilian quickly responded to my emails even through late on a Sunday evening and stayed in touch. I had called other companies and for the move and storage, they couldn't compete. This was before the movers arrived and to my surprise and pleasure, it was a fantastic experience. Emir and his crew were personable, professional and efficient. I also had a couch disassembled by another company and Emir took time to explain to me how it should have been done instead of what was provided and the reasons why. I also had twice the number of boxes. Emir took the inventory when he arrived against the quote and advised on any discrepancies. I received a call from John on the increase in price for the storage prior to completing the move. It was more than fair. For my couch, Emir gave me suggestions a company for when I need my couch assembled. I will be calling them and requesting Emir and his crew for the move in. I cannot recommend Perfect Moving enough!! I've lived in NYC for 8 years and had a few terrible moving experiences ranging from companies that charged way more than the quote to crews that got angry with me about extra stuff and made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. To start: once I put my info into the website, Alexandra called me within a few hours and booked my move for a week out (which was a very tight timeline). Then she helpfed me adjust the move time AND the inventory list multiple times over the next few days without complaint. Next: Niti and the Perfect Moving team were absolutely lovely. The planned arrival time was 7-9am and they called me before to give me a status update on arrival time. They showed up promptly at 7:05am. Inventory/Extra Stuff: I didnt have a lot of time to pack and was expecting an angry arrival based on past experiences. They were understanding and went through the inventory with me, but said they could take extra if needed for an extra charge and didnt make me feel bad at all. They help do assembly/disassembly where needed and put blankets on bed/TV/etc. On arrival they were polite, re-assembled everything, asked where things went and also minded the rules of my new building which is pretty strict. Again- I dont do reviews but truly they made a stressful experience as pleasant as it could be. Highly recommend. read more

Everything was great, and Tasko was very accommodating. The move was 8a - 5p and despite being a full day, the guys kept their pace the whole time. We combined 2 locations into to one (adding an extra stop) and Tasko helped make sure the cost didn't sky rocket with adding that in. We were never charged for any extra items we may have had, and that was a huge plus. Only negative thing I will say, is granted it took a long time, and there were a lot of stairs, by the end of the day the movers completely removed their masks; I understand it's hard to breathe and lug a couch up 3 flights in a mask, but you know what you're getting into during covid, being a mover. UPDATE: I referred this crew to a family member who used these guys a month after my move. Based on our discussions after my move, and hearing how they performed for my referral/family member, it appears they were very on top of COVID-19 precautions and took every measure to make sure my mask experience wouldn't happen again. We just used these guys for a cross-country move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, and I can't recommend them enough! The guys were super friendly, polite, and masked up for Covid on both sides of the move--they were fast and thorough with tagging each item for tracking during the move. We got a great rate, which was lower than many competitors we got quotes from. Most importantly, NONE of our things were even remotely damaged, from vintage furniture to electronics to framed art. They gave us a window for their arrival in LA, and delivery ended up being on the earlier side of the window. Throughout, we had great customer service from Irena and Peter, both of whom were always responsive, friendly, and helpful. I had them help me move from two pickup locations, 40+ boxes, and 3 tiring staircases, 3.5 hours later. Granted the locations were less than 15min away from each other, it was still a very, very good experience. They actually got here 1.5hr earlier than quoted which was amazing cus my area has strict timing limitations on people blocking their driveways (these older folks are still very anal actually luckily our Perfect Moving guys were professional and just moved a few times to avoid those folks). We just recently used Perfect Moving to move out of our 2BR apartment in NYC to our new house in Westchester and we were VERY happy with the services they provided. We have two young kids, so we opted to have them pack up and move everything for us. They made it SO easy. They arrived at 7:45am and Lucky and his team carefully packed (and labeled) everything. We were on our way to our house by 2:00 and they had unloaded everything and were pulling out of our driveway by 4:30pm. It was the easiest move we have ever had, and we really felt that it went seamlessly. Also, we had a small hiccup in the morning regarding insurance needed for our building, and Misko answered my very early morning phone call to sort it all out promptly. I spoke with Rock and he was extremely understanding, kind and patient. The whole reason I'm moving is a very emotional and sensitive situation and Rock got that. I wanted to take a moment to commend my move from West 107 to West 103. The George and the guys were respectful, professional and diligent. I made the move out as simple as possible having the majority of the boxes moved to the basement for them anticipating the move in to my 1800s Brownstone to be a bit more challenging. We had two flights of stairs to carry everything up and the guys never wavered. They asked me for assistance when larger pieces had to be maneuvered to get upstairs and they never gave up.
