Moving in New York is arguable one of the most stressful processes and perfect moving definitely helped to ease my worries. After messaging them rock came and gave me a custom quote assessing the apartment size and distance. Rock was professional and polite sending me reminders and carefully explained their moving process. I had a tight deadline and he was still able to accommodate me. On move in day Jagos arrived on time and was so kind and helpful he helped me arrange my living room and carefully rewrapped items he thought might get damaged. he even stayed later outside of my allotted window to make sure everything was in place :) I would definitely recommend them for any New Yorker looking for a stress free process. read more

Just moved yesterday and cannot recommend Perfect Moving enough. Rolando's team (w/ Rolando, Diego and Maria) were so great. They took great care of my stuff, everything was wrapped so well (TV, dressers, etc) and they were so fast! I moved from a studio to a 1BR (in the same neighborhood on the UES) but had a lot of stuff and they did it in just under 4.5 hours which to me is incredible. Great communication. Moving was really stressful for me and these guys made it a lot easier. The rate was flat - no changes and I definitely recommend renting their bins, they deliver a week ahead of time and then pick them up a week after. Booked this company through my reservation with Manhattan Mini Storage. I was a bit worried about having limited company selections but was thrilled with my experience with Perfect Moving. They were proactive in communication, on time, efficient, and friendly. All the things you'd ask of a moving team! They were tetris masters and figured out how to stack all my furniture and boxes in my small storage space. I checked in on the unit the other week and all looked good and sturdy. I was set up with Perfect Moving through the storage facility I use, not really knowing much about the company itself, but they were efficient, quick, and professional. They were able to move and load some very heavy bedroom furniture and oddly shaped couches and chairs (and several heavy boxes) into the truck in under an hour. I've used several different moving companies over the past few years, and none of them have ever been as fast as Perfect Moving. I even asked if I could change the date of my move to the weekend before and they were totally accommodating. When I move my stuff out of storage later this year I'll definitely book them again! read more

UPDATE: - I moved this from 3 starts to 4 stars for the following things that have been done since this review. Perfect Moving called me to talk about this review. They wanted to explain why some of this stuff happened, but do what they could to make it right. 1. I was told they had suspended the person who didn't wear a mask (not my intention, and I would never want someone be out of work right now). But, knowing that they cared, did make me feel better. 2. They helped me with my damaged chair, and sent me a venmo so that I could replace the set of chairs. Only one of them was damaged, but they are no longer available. This was very easy. Original Review: I moved a few weeks ago and hired Perfect Moving. The price was right, and the movers were quick, and they even gave me a slight discount for something I'll write about below. If you're just looking to move a few item's I could recommend them, but the pandemic is serious, and protocols should be followed, which is why I have 3 stars. The reason this is three stars is because of communication not being great, and safety protocols not being adhere to during the pandemic after I had emailed to confirm a few things. I had a couch that I was afraid wouldn't fit through a door without it being taken off, unfortunately it was one of those old spring loaded hinge doors, and most people are unable to remove it safely, so I was going to hire a specialist. I had emailed and asked what time I could expect the movers so I could hire the specialist to come at the right time. I was told anytime between1pm and 5pm on the day I was to move. Great! That's plenty of time to hire someone, and figure stuff out. In the meantime, I had about 3 specialist I had hired cancel on me to take this door off because it is really hard- so that is adding to my stress. Then, the night before the move I get a text at 10:30pm to inform me that my movers would be arriving at 7am! When I asked why the change when I was told it would be between 1pm and 5pm, I was told that my contact was wrong, and gave me misinformation. Already stressed about the couch, that really annoyed m to have information changed at the VERY last minute. A confirmation should have been sent earlier in the day. Normally, I'm asleep by 10:30pm, and I would have slept right through this text if it wasn't for the fact I was still trying to pack up some last minute things. The movers were on time, (7am), and came to inspect my items. The first thing that was very off-putting was that one of the movers did not have a mask, and never put it on. I had opened all the windows for ventilations and I stayed in another room while they were moving. I had done my best to arrange everything to be safe to move in a pandemic (i.e. -- moving things to one room if I could. wearing my mask, and staying out of their way.) I had emailed and asked about this as well, and was very disappointed that the same protocols I was promised, were not taken. Other than those two things - the 10:30pm text, and not wearing a mask when moving, - the actual move itself was pretty seamless, and not stressful at all. The movers were able to get all my items out safely, - (though I just discovered a chip out of one of chairs that was not there before). I think if it wasn't due to the pandemic, I'd have given this a 4 or 5 star review, but it's too serious to not be taken seriously. read more

My wife and I had to find some movers for a last-minute move, and boy are we glad we found Perfect Moving via Yelp! We received quotes from a few movers, and I liked that Perfect was up-front about everything, with no-nonsense or hidden fees. Initially, I was a bit skeptical as they were a newer company, but they were so up-front and honest over the phone that I figured "What the heck, let's give them a shot". That proved to be a great choice as they delivered 100%. The move went smoothly, and they managed to even everything, including some bigger furniture pieces moved without any damage. I hired this company to move stuff out of storage in NYC to Upstate NY. Unfortunately, I did not count the number of boxes and only discovered very sentimental and treasured items such as china I inherited from my deceased mother and treasured books were missing when I unpacked some time later. I felt so sad, violated and upset that they had stolen my stuff. I even had tipped them very generously which made me feel even worse.. I cannot say how literally perfect this move was (yesterday) from beginning to end. These guys were the cheapest out of 7 quotes I got - of which for a small one bedroom for one person was ludicrous. I had these 2 guys come do a small move for me. They were available the next day the Friday before the last day of the month. They have dollies blankets tape etc available. I am so glad I found Perfect Moving! I got a job and had to move from New York to Virginia within two weeks. I had been looking up movers and getting quotes from all over. Not only was their pricing one of the most affordable, in comparison, their customer service was unbeatable. On top of that, it was same day moving! That was everything! From the first conversation with Almas, I felt comfortable. He provided me with every detail I may need. Yesterday was moving day! I had already arrived in VA on Saturday. I was told there would be a pick up between 8-10. At 7AM, I received a call from the driver, Rush, informing me he would be at my house in NY at 8. I let my mom know. He let me know he arrived and when he was on the way to VA. My mom said they were so nice and kind! When he stopped about half way, he let me know again. When he was an hour and half out, he let me know. When he was half an hour away, he informed me as well. Finally, he called when he was outside. I loved that he kept in touch with me the whole way. Now, I didn't have a lot of stuff so they were in and out within minutes. They put everything down neatly and organized. And, they had on masks, which is so important! Love that I didn't even have to ask. And, even with the mask on, I could tell Rush was smiling as we spoke. He was so great. Above and beyond! Perfect Movers were great and exceeded my expectations as a moving company. Price-wise they are around the 50th percentile of quotes I received but they offer better service than a lot of the other movers I have used in the past (all in similar price range) 1. Showed up on time which is key. They reached at 8:45 for a 9a move. 2. Professional in their demeanor and made no fuss in moving some extra things that I had not put on the inventory. They even helped me throw some larger furniture. 3. They were very unobtrusive. 4. Did the coordination with the building concierge without involving me. 5. I had to make them wait for 45mins for my apartment inspection but they were patient (it was a fixed price move) 6. Furniture was assembled properly and placed where I wanted and they helped me put some stuff in storage which I was not expecting So I felt this was exceptional service for the money. The team was professional, courteous, efficient, careful and followed COVID precautions, and handled our belongings with such great care. Peter assisted me with my quote (requested online initially) and provided very prompt and detailed answers to all of my questions. He even asked for further info/dimensions/photographs of some larger pieces and glass furniture to ensure the most accurate quote was given. Communication was very transparent throughout the booking process and there were no hidden fees. Perfect would have even covered the COI (we didn't need this, but Perfect was the only company to mention a COI out of all of the companies I requested moving quotes from). On the day of our move, Rush and his team arrived promptly in the morning (actually 15 minutes early!) and worked very quickly but carefully. Rush made it a point to call out any existing damages or scratches to my furniture before him and his team packed them up to ensure I was aware of the pre-existing condition. He even assisted with taping still opened boxes (we were not completely finished with our packing). His team also worked around us and our 6-month old baby's schedule in our 800 sq ft apartment. Rush went above and beyond to make sure the move was seamless...his professionalism, clear and constant communication, and stress-free attitude really stood out and made our move that much easier. The following day, Rush texted us several times to update us on his ETA. When the (same) team arrived, again, Rush made sure the move was executed flawlessly. All boxes and items were placed in their correct rooms (Rush confirmed with us where items should be placed) and furniture reassembled correctly. Nothing was broken or went missing. Trash and tape were removed by his team. Rush even moved a mini-fridge that arrived from Amazon from downstairs to an upstairs room because it was too heavy for me to help my husband carry it. Everyone knows that moving is no fun, and we all go into it with pretty much the same level of dread. My roommate and I were moving from two separate apartments into the one in another borough, so we knew it was going to be a big job, and I had a bad experience years before so I was nervous. However, once I started to talk to Amar from Perfect Moving, things just kept getting easier. They were really wonderful from start to finish, transparent with pricing and expectations, and the crew that showed up on moving day was hard-working and never complained once. We had some stairs to deal with at the drop off location and it was a really big move, and they just kept going until it was finished. We moved on one of the hottest days in July and provided water for them all day, and again - no complaints. Really wonderful guys! They were careful with our items and nothing was damaged or broken. My advice is to prepare a full inventory list *down to the item* before you call, so that the quote process goes smoothly. Be transparent with them about any changes in quantities of boxes or items as you pack. Also, make sure you are fully packed before you move! Sounds obvious, but a lot of times people are still filling boxes when the movers arrive and I think that's probably the most frustrating thing as a mover to deal with. If I could rate this company a 10 I would. Peter was great to work with from start to end. He walked me through the entire process and even allowed me to add extra items at no additional cost. I was very stressed with moving within the city (especially during covid), but the company went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service at an unbeatable price. The real impressive part was the moving team. We moved to a 6th-floor walkup with a decent amount of furniture and these guys worked efficiently and fast with a smile. One of the movers even asked if I needed a jacket while standing outside. Prior to the move, I was very worried about my furniture getting beat up and I can honestly say there was not one scratch on any item. I like to think I tip very generously, but these guys had me going to the bank mid-move to grab even more cash for the tip. If you're gonna go with a moving company, Perfect Moving is the way to go.
