Outstanding I stopped in for lunch, thinking lunch rather than breakfast. Perkins is well-known for their breakfast, but can they put together a great burger? Turns out they can. The burger I selected was their BBQ Tangler Burger, a bacon and cheese (and lettuce and tomato) tower with sweet BBQ sauce and lots of thin deep fried onion pieces. Stacked high and messy with onion pieces falling out, this was an outstanding burger. The fries matched the quality of the sandwich. I wasn't surprised and I was very pleased. It only took about 10 minutes from ordering until I had my food. Everything about my visit was great. My pleasant server was topnotch, doing all the usual server things in a timely manner, interacting with me and other regular customers to make everyone's visit a little nicer. The restaurant appeared clean and well-maintained. At Perkins you pay your bill up front as you leave. By the register they have a couple of display cases, one full of muffins, the other pies. Perkins is underrated! Went here with my boyfriend during the weekend and it was really busy but they sat us immediately. The french toast was really good and the coffee was hot, I also like how they leave the pot for you. My boyfriend got the meal deal with the chicken tender melt and tomato bisque soup which he really enjoyed! This Perkins feels more like a local friendly meeting place . It is managed very well . The manager doesn't hide in his office. He often greets you and pitches in when needed .The wait staff are friendly ,well trained and experienced. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. The food is good hot and timely. The Breakfasts are my personal favorite. The prices are reasonable. the Baked goods excellent. I love the senior portions and the blueberry muffins are the best . Our breakfast was spot-on! The only hiccup was that we ordered breakfast potatoes with our Eggs Benedict but the brought hash browns instead. So, we decided to not make a fuss and eat them. Food used to be really good. Hubby and I went there last week late afternoon. Awful. Food was lukewarm at best. Eggs were super-small. I ordered eggs benedict and the hollandaise was like pure butter!! Yuck. Previously there was always a manager-type of person in the lobby helping to seat people. We didn't see him there at all. I have been back in town for a month and went to Perkins twice. Both I was seated with every patron in the same small section where I have to listen to loud ignorant commentary from others. I have no idea why they keep doing this, all the other sections are open and they are forcing everyone to sit together. I understand if the restaurant is full but it is not. Im sure the waitresses like it because they do not not have to walk the entire place but too bad ! Im paying $40 for lunch I dont want to hear a bunch of yahoos talk non sense. Had to try pumpkin pancakes! Yummy!! Could be better with crispy edges; just a bit soggy, but still tasty. They had a deal on desserts (we rarely get) so I got a pumpkin muffin... out of this world!!! I've never had better. I moved to Florida 4 years ago and had been searching for a place that has at least a decent country fried steak. For some reason, it's difficult to find in this part of the country. I had seen theirs on the menu, but after so many disappointments, I was hesitant to try it. I finally broke down and tried it, and I have to say, I don't think I have ever eaten a better country fried steak than Perkins'! It is absolutely delicious, and I actually have days now when I crave it. I am so happy to have finally found good country fried steak in Florida. They even put it in its own container when you order it to be delivered, and it always tastes like they just just cooked it up from scratch. Terrible. Poorly managed. I love Perkins but this location is awful. We walked in, four waitresses were huddled at the corner, they glanced at us and just stood there. One came up to them yelling about a customer not getting his drink. The pastry display was chaos! Cupcakes knocked over, crumbs everywhere, and the floor was filthy. My experience was the exact opposite of the original reviewers. We came for the breakfast menu. The restaurant was clean and appeared to be fairly new. For cleanliness, I always check the silverware-no problem here. We were seated in the main dining room and from my vantage point I had a view into the kitchen, which is partially open. Again, nothing that looked suspicious. My wife ordered the pancakes with strawberries and I had some artery hardening combo special; eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes. Everything was very good. Food was very good but waitress forgot the pancakes that came with the meal but was later deducted on bill.

Firstly, the service was very, very good. The young ladies were prompt, courteous, friendly and efficient. I ordered country steak, gravy, scrambled eggs and biscuits. Everything was hot and fresh and quite good. Except, those poor biscuits...they were not fresh, nor hot. One looked like they threw it on the grill to save it, it had browned marks, but it didn't survive. The other one was, well, RIP biscuit, cold. I did eat the tops, though only partly. I mentioned it to the manager and he took them off my tab. I still left my server the original 20% tip in cash. I will come back when I'm in town next. I'll just order toast. Darn it! It was OK. We went at 10 pm and we had fast friendly service. They accommodated organizing a table of 10. The breakfast is amazing there and the dessert too! The burgers are good and the prices are cheap! DONT get the pasta, only the shrimp and broccoli had a good taste. The man manager on duty could be more nice... Was really expecting more from this restaurant ever since it got remodeled. Sure it looks good but the service is subpar. We were seated and our waitress came and took our drink order. Came back with the drinks and we needed a few minutes to decide. About another fifteen minutes later she finally came back. My mom ordered the pineapple upside down pancake and she asked for sugar free syrup instead of the syrup that comes on it. It came however without butter and that was weird I mean how can you serve a pancake without butter. My sisters meal was fine but mine was the steak and potatoes skillet. The gravy was extremely salty and I couldn't really eat it. Whenever the waitress blew by us to ask how everything was my sister said fine so the waitress left before I could say anything. The cook checked us out up front so I told him and he kinda just shrugged his shoulders and said he'd work on it. That is not good service and we won't be back unless we either have a good coupon or it's the only place open and we are starving Update: went back tonight 9-14 and had the best food and service. I had the pumpkin pancakes and they were very tasty. Mom had some French toast that she loved as well. The waitress was very attentive and we even saw the general manager. After a toiling debacle of fast-food disappointment round midnight on a foggy Monday eve, my companion and I stepped foot into this warm, cozy, and dare I say welcoming restaurant commonly known as Perkins. Prior to our arrival we had been CAST from many another 'establishment' despite their 24 Hour postings both in person and online. Alas, we found ourselves low on hopes and gasoline, petrol perhaps, until we saw the glowing, green light and felt similarly entranced as Gatsby to Daisy's dock light in that great old American classic. But returning to the matter at hand, Perkins, a diamond in the rough of Bradenton's nonexistent night life, welcomed us with open arms and warm pastries. We properly stuffed ourselves on good ol' home cooked meals and were served by a lovely woman named Tina. Oh Tina, how she turned our night around. Sat down at5:40. Ordered in a reasonable time. 30 minutes later only had our drinks, no appetizers delivered. I could see in the kitchen, no one was washing dishes, coffee pots on the floor under the dish stacks. Trash on the floor. Watched the waitress just go back with dirty dishes and throw them on top the pile. Manager went in and sorted and stacked the dishes but no one washing at all. Waited 10 more minutes and got up to leave. My friend saw the waitress and told her we had waited too long and we were leaving for the poor service. She got huffy and asked if we wanted it to go? The manager was taking someone's money and heard it as well as 2 couples waiting to be seated. The one woman said "That's not a good sign!"
